I used Arctic myself (something like this), but I think any good name brand, like Thermal Grizzly or Noctua will do fine. The main thing is that it must be 1mm thick.

Replacing them is pretty easy, since they're right by the thermal paste, anyway. You can see them in this short clip here. They're little silicone pads on both sides of the 8 RAM modules on the motherboard, so you need 16 10x10mm squares. You either buy a sheet and cut them out, or get them pre-cut. Some of them are sticky, which makes them easier to use, and some of them aren't. Either way, if they have protective plastic film on them, make sure you take that off, too. You can place the pads on either the motherboard itself, or on the heatsink. You can see in the video that some of them are sticking to the motherboard, and some are sticking to the heatsink. It doesn't really matter.

The biggest issue is taking the PS4 apart and getting there in the first place. I like this video for that. The insides will look different if it's a Slim or Pro or whatever, but they have videos for those, too. It's kind of scary the first time, but it's not too bad.

Meglio piccole perché hsnno uns velocità bassa se grandi. Io combino poi nei giorni più caldi con i pacchi del freezer, quei cosi di ghiaccio blu. se hai una uscita laterale c'è pure un aggeggio a poco prezzo che aspira l'aria e si mette nelle aperture del case. Poi puoi anche mettere dei pad adesivi con superficie in simil alluminio rame silicone che hanno un alta conducibilità termica: ARCTIC Thermal Pad (50 x 50 x 1.0 mm) - Pad termico a base di siliconi con conducibilità a 6,0 W/mK e durezza particolarmente bassa

You don't need airflow. You just need a big piece of metal to use as a heatsink, and the MB tray is a good sized piece of metal. Grab one of these and put it on top of the M.2.

Correctly applied it will bridge the gap between the SSD and the MB tray and conduct heat away from the SSD.

Oh yeah, I totally wanted to ask about those too, because I watched the Linus video last week. But I am not sure where to find them because I am in germany and they are not on amazon at all.

EDIT: Found some Thermal Grizzly and Artic thermal pads though, hmmm

Not sure if 10mm x 10mm is big enough and whether 0.5mm is thick enough. You can try this one, just cut it to size. :D

I would highly recommend getting some new thermal pads if your going to re-paste.

Firstly to put a pad on the ssd its a nice to have but not needed.

pulling the cooler off the CPU,GPU wrecks some pads.

When i did it to my machine i had to wait two days for new thermal pads to arrive because the pads on the VRMs got torn.

I did a liquid metal + pad replacement on my two day old laptop MSI G65-9SE AMA

Thanks for the info! When you say thermal pads, are you talking about something like this, or something more like this?

I am looking at some borosilicate glass now, and I was wondering how thick the pane should be. I figure that since it needs to conduct heat that I would want the surface to be on the thinner side (~3mm), correct?

I will soon be repasting with thermal grizzly kryonaut and attempting to use thermal pads. I ordered a 1mm thick pad on Amazon to cut to size.

Not sure what they use specifically, it's probably something really thin.

You can cut them to whatever length/width you need. But without having the existing one right in front of me, I couldn't really tell you.

If you contact G Skill, they may be able to tell you what they use, or offer to sell a replacement thermal pad.
