They're all teens, so probably some program AAA did that had parents install both a dashcam and cabin cam to monitor the driving habits of teens. They also appear to have G-Sensors monitoring the vehicle, to show hard braking and/or crashes.

Edit: One thing I didn't think about, there are also dual-camera dashcams that record the road and the cabin in a single unit. You could also simply get a dual-channel (dual-camera) system and mount the second camera in the cabin facing back instead of in the rear window.

I have a list of accessories (and links) that I'm going to personally get, I'll shoot them off to you when I get back to my computer. Things like DashCam, upgraded LED lights, phone mounts, paint protections and other interior accessories.

This is what I'm planning thus far (Prices are approximate):

You were not kidding! Amazon lists it as $389 with just the cameras, not including the battery.

Considering the image quality and how low profile and discreet the cameras are, it's not too bad, plus the wifi and 128GB sd support makes it reasonable.

Not my video, but I (a bunch of us here, actually!) have the same setup- it's a Blackvue 650.

Here is one I have. The Power Magic Pro that comes with it is wired to your fuse box. You can flip a switch to decide if you want it to record when you vehicle is off. Part of it is that it will shut down if it drops below a certain voltage to prevent draining your battery and that voltage is adjustable. I basically flip it on whenever I'm not at home. Loop depends on how big of a MicroSD card you use. For full HD, a 128GB card will record about 28 hours from both cameras. If the dash cam senses a change in the X, Y, or Z axis (that you can set the sensitivity on), it will record it as an event, making sure it doesn't write over it when it does loop. It can create a WiFi hotspot so you can connect using your phone while in the car and view live, see previous footage, and even save a clip to your phone then upload to YouTube, all from the scene of an accident if necessary. I'd recommend buying the 16GB version and adding a 128GB card yourself (save you some money).

Sorry about your car, mate. You might want to invest in a dashcam that has a parking mode / battery pack. I have front/rear cams that will turn on and record for 5 minutes if my car is bumped while parked.

pre-empting the 'what kind of dashcam is that' questions

but srsly, that's a good looking cam. I need to invest in one, but I can't get past the wires running all over the place.

Not OP, but I use this: https://www.amazon.com/Blackvue-channel-dr650gw-2ch-recorder-support/dp/B00MC4XL2G

In addition to excellent video quality it embeds really useful telemetry data into the MPEG stream. Stuff like GPS location, speed, exact date/time, and 3-way accelerometer data.
