>Are there any keyboards out there with the feeling of a click without the click sound?

Look for "MX Cherry Reds" mechanical keyboards. They will bottom out and make a sound, without the "click" sound.

Sorry for the Ninja edit, gonna cost you some $ bro lol, about $70 at least. Wait for Black Friday for $50 keyboards.

Sacrifice quality? Not necessarily, let me link you some of the keyboards i was looking at. You would lose rgb but gain real mechanical switches not rubber dome switch with mechanical like feel.

Logitech g610 white led cherry mx red

Logitech g410 tenkeyless rgb romger g

Corsair k63 tenkkeyless red led cherry mx red

Qisan white led gateron browns
Ive had the tenkeyless version of this keyboard for 2 years now. Still going strong but as my dads keyboard now.

REFURBISHED: Razer Blackwidow x rgb doesnt list the switch but its mostly likely razer green Dont know if you care about refurbished or not but i listed one just in case you dont

I mean, I told you the quality was certainly not as good as cherry mx ones, and you came away thinking the quality isn't lacking? I think you misunderstood.

For just 40 bucks more you will get something you won't regret, but the banggood is likely cheap and goofy, even for the price. If all you want is a cherry mx red equipped gaming board:

Cherry MX Reds for 50 bucks with Corsair's high quality build.

i bought it a year ago lol. if you're in the market though i would look into the masterkeys pro s, varmilo 87, code keyboard tenkeyless or vengeance k63.

I think it really depends on what type of games you are playing, how much you want to spend, and what size keyboard you want. Do you need it to be programmable, macros? Do you care how it looks? do you want rgb, and lazers shooting out of it, or something plain? I would try something with a smaller form if you havent, something without a numpad, it adds so much more room to your desk top. You can get a good tenkeyless like this Corsair

I built a Cospad/XD24 with silver cherry mx switches just for playing games where I use a headset/never type. As for a mouse I have tried all the steel series, and I think the Rival 700 is pretty good, I also have a Logitech g600 that I used to use for some games.

Let us know what you choose, it's also fun to try different stuff. You can sometimes pick up stuff used for cheap, or just return something if you don't like it.

Good luck.

This is the keyboard I got. Basically was looking for the smallest and cheapest mechanical keyboard that had good reviews. I have the G403, which was pretty cheap as well, two side mouse buttons.

u/LzrGoose · 1 pointr/buildapc

Thats a good starting point, you have space to upgrade ram to 16gb in the future and over clocking ability. I know someone said steer away from OC but I highly recommend it, those CPUs are basically designed for it and watching a youtube video or two to learn how wont be hard.

As for tbe stock cooler on the CPU, you can OC with it and get good results, but i recommend getting a CPU cooler for the sheer fact that its a relatively cheap investment that adds so much benefit in terms of overall temperature and noise of your PC. But honestly it's not crucial you get one.

I would also consider getting some extra case fans,, you can pick a pair up for $20 and seeing as that case only comes with one fan i recommend it in order to keep cool air flowing.

As for mouse and keyboard, i suggest a mechanical keyboard, maybe the Corsair K63 . You can save money by opting not to have flashy RGB lights but thats your personal preference.

Mice are cheap and cheerful, try get 3200dpi with 5 buttons for as cheap as possible.

Wireless technology has vastly improved within recent years.
You could try the Corsair K63 Keyboard and the Dark Core Mouse.

note the poor reviews for the mouse have been fixed with firmware updates and such.

Hi all. I haven't owned a mechanical keyboard before, but am looking to upgrade from my bulky membrane one. Looking at TKL, red switch, and backlit, and under $80. I've looked at the guides and they were super helpful as well. I am deciding between the HyperX Alloy FPS PRO, CoolerMaster CK530 (found through the guide), and the Corsair K63. Apart from aesthetics, do you guys see any red flags for these keyboards?

Also, from what I've been reading it seems like the red switches would be better for more rapid use compared to the brown switches. Are the brown switches quieter however? Thanks.

My brother just recently started building a gaming PC and hes been slowly upgrading (Nothing super fancy by any means). I'm looking to buy him a decent gaming keyboard and trying to take advantage of the Cyber Monday deals on some stuff.

Logitech G910 Orion, CORSAIR K65, or CORSAIR K63

I'm not sure if the difference between the three is negligible - if it is I'll just go the cheaper route. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

K65, but it uses Red switches as opposed to the Blues in the K70. Personally, I’m waiting for them to release a Wireless K63 with Browns; or a TKL Strafe.

Alternatively, the K63 is significantly cheaper and has the same form factor you’re looking for as well.

These two are pretty good,

Corsair K63 (10 keyless)

Steelseries Apex M500.

Both have Cherry MX Reds, but ultimately it's up to what you want. What colour switches do you want? Do you want RGB? Do you want a wristrest? etc.

u/Longboarding-Is-Life · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

If he plays any games that uses the number pad like flight simulators, Grand theft auto, or you aren't sure, i would get him a Corsair strafe. I bought one used and I love it. The red switches are silent but are still mechanical so they are much more comfortable typing and especially gaming on.

If he doesn't use the number pad and desk space is limited I would get the k63

Hello, first time here so I'll give my 1 cent worth.

The real question to ask yourself with a keyboard is if you want it to be lighting up like a Christmas tree or if you're okay with the colors (granted you can 'lock' the back-light to be one color). For instance, I go on Amazon here in the US and see these Corsair keyboards.

Corsair K55 RGB: Remember you can "lock" in a back light color.

Corsair K63: Simple with only one back light.

As for 60 to 144, I personally haven't experience this yet, but from what I've heard, it's a huge difference. Consider the next monitor you buy an investment. You want to be able to handle 144mhz when it becomes a common thing, rather than needing to go buy yet another monitor. Size is up to you

Let me know what you think of the keyboards I linked & if it is what you were thinking of.

u/CoolCatPro · 1 pointr/battlestations

Well I guessed that wrong. Looks similar tho

u/RyanPax707 · 1 pointr/keyboards

Ok, I'm going to go with the RED's and see if I can avoid bottoming out. Amazon has the easiest return policy so I can test one out from there and fall back on the Brown's if need be. But I could use some feedback on the brands I've found. There is one by HyperX Alloy, Corsair, and Cool Master, which I'm leaning towards:

HyperX Alloy:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B074F5L8GQ/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I3019CKXYTT217&colid=2SP7WUOPZKFVJ&psc=0

Corsair:
https://www.amazon.ca/Corsair-Gaming-Mechanical-Keyboard-Cherry/dp/B06XC1WNPT/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1518336343&sr=1-6&keywords=cherry%2Bmx%2Bred%2Bkeyboard&th=1

Cooler Master
https://www.amazon.ca/MasterKeys-Tenkeyless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B072JBFJB4/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1518336343&sr=1-8&keywords=cherry+mx+red+keyboard

All three are billed as gaming keyboards but I'm mainly trying them out for typing. The Cool Master doesn't look very fancy but I don't need the lights and it says I can switch the keys around for Dorvak and Workman layouts for making typing even easier (I'm just learning about this now). Unless those other two are supposed to be way better?

I know the switch itself should be the same across boadrs but these 'PBT' keys on the Cool Master, the thicker keys, that doesn't affect force required? A review of a CoolMaster said "PBT keycaps feel a lot more substantial than ABS keycaps, and Cooler Master has made them feel even more solid by making them 1.5mm thick." I'm just wondering if by 'more' substantial he means a bit heavier to press down or not. If so I'll go with the HyperX Alloy.

Anyone have any experience with these?
