Same, but instead a 1070, currently only good thing ill find to help u is 1x16gb ddr4 ram for £60 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DPSQPF2/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

This^, SSD is crucial (no pun intended), if you want performance. 128 can become thigh for the OS if you plan to put games or bigger software, 256gb is a good balance.

And yes, since you get the non-K version, you can drop the heat sink since the i7 6700 comes with one.

Maybe you could cut down with another GTX1060 brand?

I've made a list for exemple...the ram is a 1x16gb deal taken from another subreddit!

Yep thats a good choice, or you could go for this . Also this 16gb will be a very good choice as its a little amount more money for more memory and speed

I need help understanding my RAM.

This is the first PC I built and I just bought the cheapest 16GB ram on amazon.ca because I thought ram was just ram. I've since learned about dual channeling with 2 sticks of ram instead of 1, that single rank is faster than dual rank, and that CAS latency is a thing too.

So this RAM seems like the slowest I could have bought, but I'm wondering if this actually matters for gaming(lower fps?)? If so, what's the best way to fix it? (another same 16gb stick, or 2 faster 8gb sticks, or something else?)

I currently own this ram its Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s. My question is could I buy this one which is Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s and use it with the ram I currently own for a total of 24gb or would they not be compatible?

u/superpowerluxury · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

I got this RAM on BF. It was out of stock, but allowed me to purchase saying they'll ship when they get more stock. I'm not worried since it's Amazon.ca themselves vending, but realistically how long do you think I'll be waiting?

In case you were wondering, it was $84 before tax

u/SuperCooperNo1 · 1 pointr/buildapc

Yeah, I've heard RAM price doesn't matter much. I was actually thinking about getting this because of how cheap it was. Not sure why it's so cheap for 16GB though...

I got a 1x16GB 2400MHz DDR4 stick (currently in use)

Was originally part of a 2x16 kit, sold 1x16 already

Based in Waterloo, will be back in GTA (Markham) next weekend

I have a seller in my area selling used 2X KVR21N15S8/8 for $100 and a i7 3770 for $175. I was just wondering if this is a worth while upgrade and price compared to my current 8gb ram at 1600 and my i5 6400. My mobo only supports up to 2133 but I was still planning on getting this 16gb ram stick that's a bit overkill for my mobo but not that much of a price jump.
