I've used 3 versions of the QFR, with Blue, Brown and Black switches. I really love the keyboards and would definitely recommend them. Also, I'd definitely recommend this numpad if you end up going that route.
If you buy a cheap arcade stick and take out the stick and some buttons it might work well. Something like this xbox360 arcade stick. It works for PC, but at that price, you might be better off popping keys off a keyboard. Or maybe something like this USB numpad.
