Amazon is not as nice as you think. Stuff like this is clearly fake/pirated yet still for sale on there constantly.

Real official versions are way more expensive.

I bought a "collection" from Amazon that I found to be definitely not legit. I believe it has the original dub. I think it's no longer available for obvious reasons but it looked kind of like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G0LGW50/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1499525632&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=ghibli+collection&dpPl=1&dpID=51zjc5IgxtL&ref=plSrch

Maybe EBay has it?

>I'm sure Amazon's lawyers would have a thing or two to say about you claiming they're illegitimate.

You can only claim so if you have purchased the item https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201166010

If you are an observer you cannot submit a claim to Amazon flagging the bootleg item.

>If a person buys a disc that you declare to be illegal from Amazon, the studio can find out from Amazon who sold it and go after them for the money.

Why would they sue a retailer? The retailer is not the creator of the bootleg. These are a dime a dozen coming out of China and Malaysia. Good luck trying to sue someone in China for copyright infringement. Amazon would just tell them to remove the item from their storefront or ban the seller or freeze the item from ever having listings again. Similar bootlegs have had the same fate.

>And it doesn't seem to be the Disney versions anyway, and since OP said they're looking for the non-Disney versions, they weren't going to be making any money from OP anyway, now were they?

OP is looking for the Disney version. Specifically the 1998 VHS/2005 DVD release. He said "not the newer Disney version" and "voice actors are the same". That means it's still the Disney dub, just an earlier cut of it. The newer cut came out in 2010. They are not looking for the Streamline/non-Disney dub which had different voice actors.
