There are some that can last several hours. I bought one just in case - I don't take the risk and just have everything lined up.

You'd be better with a 4g modem router like this dedicated device will be better for multiple devices, if it's just the one laptop then a USB dongle would be good.
WiFi in the dorm buildings, but as expected it’s shit. Just buy a puck the Internet is fast af on those. Pool is free. Also high chance of getting sick when you get there only because it’s a new place

No worries, man. That device you linked will work perfectly but might be a little slow for you if you want 4g speeds. This one is a little bit more expensive but will do the trick.
You might find cheaper alternatives with 150 Mbps out there too.
Haha... sorry, no stories with ubiquity gear either. Suggest using the WiFi extender options of those Huawei mobile hotspots. Some basic models don’t have the WiFi extender, so read the specs carefully.

I have been eyeing those. Here you can actually turn an adherent connection into your hotspot. I though it is useful especially when you are somewhere not knowing the WiFi password but you can get to the router itself (or an empty Ethernet port somewhere)......

this is the best investment you will ever make in your life when you deploy, also you won't be losing money cause you'll sell it right off the bat when you're leaving. Get in contact with any contractor or any dude working in ASG-KW (DIS Office is your best bet) and ask the dude working on the off post housing gig to get you a zain sim card that you'll pay cash, (was 20$ back in 2015 so it might be 30$
40$ ish?) they got plans of 100GB of data a month for 25$ at LTE speeds which are legit tho. If you stay on Arifjan you're gucci, if you're at beuhring, rip! good luck.
