In my experience, those in-line vent fans don't have the design to effectively push or pull through filters and containers. They're also called booster fans because they are meant to maintain airflow in the weak areas of air systems, but with laminar incoming flow and little restriction to input and output.

I'd recommend something like this. Should work for a few LED 5 gallon buckets imo.
4 inch blower

If you're talking about several large tote or trash buckets, I would step up to 6 inch blowers of the same design. You can see from the impeller design in some pictures that they are intended for blowing through filters and pulling through restrictive airspaces.

Good luck!

You want a centrifugal fan, not a duct booster. 192cfm is the smallest sized fan you can buy that is centrifugal.

This is a centrifugal fan, 4" 192cfm

The issue with those duct booster fans is they do not create enough static pressure to pull through a carbon filter, or to create enough airflow in longer ducting lines or when there's bends in the ducting.

keep in mind that this is all new to me so don't necessarily take my recommendation because I don't have a lot of experience. I'm also in Canada so have to use amazon.ca, not amazon.com which gives us less selection. The one I got is 175CFM and I paid $112CAD. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0085GTELM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So. I could put a cooling tube http://www.amazon.ca/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK600CT24E-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B00521B894/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1427552022&sr=8-3&keywords=600+watt+hps run it horizontally (front to back) with the booster fan only for the tube. Then run an actual fan http://www.amazon.ca/iPower-GLFANXINLINE4-Ducting-Hydroponics-Applications/dp/B0085GTELM/ref=sr_1_5?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1427552199&sr=1-5&keywords=fan with filter for smell venting? I want get away from building a glass enclosure for the light, hence the cooling tube or full hood, want.

just get this: https://www.amazon.com/iPower-Inline-Ventilation-Exhaust-Grounded/dp/B0085GTELM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1536940995&sr=8-6&keywords=4+inch+inline+fan

then get the ducting in a separate order. if you can I'd recommend getting solid steel ducting from your local home depot. the loose stuff makes your fan much less efficient
