Perfect, they can put their HDD’s into an enclosure and save all their stuff, and run MHW from the SSD. Capcom can’t optimize the game to run as fast as it does on an SSD on an HDD. So if you really care about the load times, you should buy an SSD. That’s what I did at least and 120GB is way more than you need. Also if you scroll through the storage sizes theres a 480GB $150 CAD which is still no where close to $500 so at least do some research before you throw out sensationalist numbers to try and make your case. Idk why you would buy a 1TB SSD it’s a huge waste of money, especially the Samsung 850 Evo, unless you’re building a PC. But even my gaming PC with a 1070 uses a 250GB SSD to run the OS and a select few games and a 1TB HDD for everything else.

There are still T2 investigations for Decorations and if you want to make new weapons/armour they require you to go back and slay/capture all kinds of monsters from Low Rank to High Rank. There’s also unlocking the event armour and weapons, completing the Canteen ingredients and then just enjoying fighting monsters.

Not sure why some people absolutely need game developers to spoon feed them content and tell them how to play the game. What happened to just sitting down and having fun messing around with a videogame? Everyone needs more, more, more. Just because you don’t like to hunt endemic life or just sit there and fish doesn’t mean the end game lacks content. It means you just don’t like the game. You can always play another game. Cheers.

I'd probably go with them in order - first being highest rated for speed and such. The second is also excellent. The bottom one is slightly slower (Not super noticeable) and MUCH cheaper. Great on a budget.

Do your self a favor and get a 500 or 1tb , because you will have it for long time. And you cannot add additional ssd on laptop. And ssd are getting cheaper faster than we expected.

Buy this and put this in it for a few extra big games or a decent amount of smaller ones or if you want a ton of games you could do this in it or find a middle ground. At the very damn least use a 7200rpm HDD.

The top is a new build with the only part being cheeped out on being the case. It's modern, has all the latest codecs, features, etc. The bottom option saves you about $100, but it's very much what you see is what you get. You can add a power efficient graphics card later, but you're pretty much stuck with 6-7 year old processors, last generation RAM, I believe the motherboard is propitiatory. It'll do what you want now, but it is basically a dead purchase. If your needs change significantly you can take the first system all the way up to 12 cores/24 threads, change to a higher rated PSU, throw in a powerful GPU, add more RAM. All without throwing out everything you already have that works.

With the massive price drops of GPUs coming this month, you can add one of your choice and have it all for $800- $900, and that's all brand new hardware. If you were to buy used, you could build for hundreds less.
So no, you're wrong. It's not anywhere near $2000. Not even by half.

I'd get an SSD for it. It will make the system remarkably faster. Just stick the new drive in, install Windows, and you're good to go. I can write you a guide or something if you need help once you get the SSD. If you for whatever reason dont want an SSD I'd get it out of S mode and to the regular OS.

Amongst other upgrades, I highly recommend purchasing an 2.5-inch SSD for your operating system, like this Kingston one on Amazon. Plug it in alongside your hard drive, install Windows 10 from a USB thumbdrive onto the SSD using these instructions from Microsoft, and then install drivers from HP. Finally, change your storage folders (Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc.) over to folders on the hard drive. The improved read-write performance for games loading from an SSD will help ameliorate any drawbacks from system age.

Also, if you're going to upgrade your PSU, DO NOT SKIMP on it. It is the single thing most likely to fry your computer and start a fire. I recommend ones like this EVGA G3 550W 80plus Gold one or a similar PSU from a reputable brand like Seasonic or Corsair.

All new Solid State Drives are Sata III. You can plug in a SSD into a Sata II slot but data transfer is restricted. Which defeats the purpose of upgrading.

Buy a fitting kit with the Sata III cables included and it should also have a power connector cable. New computers have the loom from the power supply normally tied up and tucked away. So having the power connector means you can leave the loom nice and tidy and just use the power connector cable that comes with the kit.

I had a computer with a 120GB SSD for a few years and was waiting for the price on 500GB SSD drives to drop. Here are the two items I bought together:

I bought a Kingston but you can buy whatever brand of SSD you want. Samsung SSD with Nand technology is one option.

Edit: I had better add this information for anyone adding a second drive for the first time. Sometimes after adding a new SSD the computer will recognize the new device and list it but may not assign a drive letter. This means everytime you click My Computer your new drive is not there but you can see it listed under Devices. All you need to do is go to Disk Management and set a drive letter.

If you already have 8 GB RAM, I think you have a storage bottleneck here. Editing videos on a faster drive is very important. Search results seem to show that the E495 only has 1 storage slot, so you should replace the hard drive with a 2.5" SSD like the Kingston A400.

Based on your mediocre description, I can only guess you're out of memory and paging to disk?

What are the specs of the machine? Are you rolling out to machines with platter disks instead of SSDS?

Every single version of Windows is more aggressive than the last with using 'stuff' - the first time this was a huge issue was Windows Vista and it's gone on since then. The solution is to throw hardware at the problem and it goes away.

If you've got 8GB, SSDs - Windows 10 will be fine, let it do it's initial install, initial caching, is software being deployed to it from your deployment server?

If you built a machine and 2 days later the disk is still endlessly thrashing, then yes, something is going wrong.

Computers will be unusable with a HDD and Windows 10, unless they have 8+GB of memory and are ok with an exceedingly long, initial login time, after a solid 10 minutes on, they'll be 'ok'
