ML 120's. They are always on though and one color so it depends on your build preference.

NZXT CB-LED20. They use one of the pci slots and have a brightness / power controller on the back. They are hidden by the GPU but i'll be moving that later and adding to the post based on some recommendations so you should be able to see it then.

Hey, sorry about that!

The LED Strip is 2 meters, and you can find more info here.

And to answer your question, it is powered via molex so yes.

Thank you!

u/jcolts23 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I had just got a NZXT one from amazon.

  • 1 meter

  • 2 meter

I guess they stopped selling the green one.

You should also chaeck out cathode lights. Look around online for which you thing would look best. I just got the LED strip because the installation seemed like it would be easier.

Well if you plan to overclock you cpu and/or possibly your gpu, you probably want atleast a decent quality 650W psu.

that rosewill model is little on the lower end side of the quality scale.

case seems, ok. could probably get a more "functional" case for the price.

EDIT: as far as case recommendations.

corsair 200R/300R both have very great functionality for the price (well if you can catch 300R on sale, probably not worth $80+)

nzxt source 210/220 or tempest 210 are also very great budget cases. and they also have some nicer more expensive cases aswell.

fractal design core 3000/3500 or arc midi r2 are really really nice cases, but are pricier.

and dont buy LED fans... buy normal fans and if you want LEDs in your case get an led light strip. (why? because fan leds are cheap and crappy, and you cant turn them off)

http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-CB-LED20-WT-2-Metres-Sensitivity-Sleeved/dp/B0046Y5Z92/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1415257481&sr=1-1&keywords=nzxt+led+strip

But you probably should just skip the leds imo.
Yeah, everyone who builds a pc for the first time wants LEDs (i got an led strip above), but really 99.99% of the time, its off lol.

i had it on to show to friends/family once, and took a picture for internet, and thats about it.

Going to be building a rig in a NZXT H440 in the next couple weeks and would love to include interior lights to show off all the components through the side panel window. NZXT has a LED strip (http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-CB-LED20-WT-2-Metres-Sensitivity-Sleeved/dp/B0046Y5Z92/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1415908080&sr=8-2&keywords=nzxt+led) available, or would LED fans be a better option?

CPU

Great budget gaming chip. [It is almost as good as an i5-4670k] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXPK9doyMLg) and much better than the FX 6300. Also in normal use, where you will be using only a single core, it will perform as well as any i5 or i7.

Motherboard

High quality board with enough performance for other components and plenty of room for expansion.

Memory

8 GB RAM is more than you need for gaming, but there is another two empty slots to double it later if you want.

Storage

250 GB SSD for OS & some software, one of fastest on the market and at a great price.

4 TB HDD as requested, very reliable.

Video Card

This 760 can play any game on ultra settings around 60 FPS.

Case

Great build quality with plenty if room for all components, easy to build in, and great looking too: Zalman Z5 Plus.

PSU

450W is more than enough for all components, 80+ Bronze efficiency.

ODD

DVD RW drive. They aren't really needed anymore, but if you want one, this one is high quality and very cheap.

OS

Win 8 is faster booting and more secure than Win 7.

WiFi Card

Awesome wireless card with plenty of performance for gaming. It also has over 100m of range before a significant loss in signal.

Keyboard

High quality non-mechanical gaming keyboard for a great price. I know you asked for wireless, but in order to get a halfway decent one would cost over £80, and this one is better for gaming at under £16.

Speakers

Very high quality 2.1 ch speaker system at a great price.

Case LEDs

High quality 2m led strip with 3 brightness levels and an on/off switch. If you search on Amazon UK for "NZXT 2m led", you can see what other colors they have.

Let me know if you have any questions!

u/SharkSpider · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

I actually have a white NZXT LED cable that I ended up not using in my build. Is this one what you were looking for?

u/SpitroastJerry · 1 pointr/buildapc

I had a white NZXT led strip from Amazon that had an on/off and 3 position brightness switch that plugged into the motherboard and came out the back of the pc.

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0046Y5Z92/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ok those are the strips, but how are they powered? How do they connect to the PC?

I found one product that looks interesting - NZXT Sleeved LED kit that comes with a rear-panel PCI-bracket plate (here). Love the controller because it has three power levels and an on/off button, but the LED's themselves look like crap. Anyone have any experience with these things? Can you replace the LED strip that ships with the controller and use a different strip?

u/Renecate · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I use the NZXT H440 Black/Blue, very nice case, very compact yet stylish, lots of room for hard drives and PSU. I also found on Amazon that NZXT make LED cable strips that you can get in different colours (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0046Y5Z92/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I got mine white and put them around the case as I feel like they are nice "showcase" lights

u/WishIHadAComputer · 1 pointr/buildapc

It's usually pretty easy. They should come with some sort of adhesives that you stick around your case, then one end of the strip connects to a molex power connector or something. Of course, that's for LED kits, like the NZXT LED Kits

u/Hdgunnell · 1 pointr/battlestations

I used these. There more than enough in length. You seat the card (the one above the psu in my picture) in a slot like you would with a gpu and run a power cord to your psu cables. It makes it a little messy but its not that bad.

u/ProfNemur · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

White Nzxt Led's

This will also work, a bit more pricey but probably the easiest solution :)

u/Pseudohunter · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

What kind of leds are you looking for? I have this that I won't be using anymore.

These are the ones i have. They have different colors too...

u/crj3012 · 1 pointr/gamingpc

Yes, it's this one.

u/m3ta1head · 1 pointr/gamingpc

Yeah, the drives are in the optical bays. I used the NZXT white led kit, I would definitely recommend it: http://www.amazon.com/Sleeved-Light-White-Meter-CB-LED20-WT/dp/B0046Y5Z92/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334431945&sr=8-1

I also got all my sleeved extensions from NZXT and they are absolutely fantastic. Extremely affordable, too...I can't believe people pay $200+ for MDPC sleeving!

u/paradox4286 · 1 pointr/battlestations

Yep. Found them on Amazon

u/realmain · 1 pointr/buildapc

How about one of these? They work pretty well. But you'll be stuck with one color.

Or how about a NZXT Hue?

u/tajwk · 1 pointr/AskBattlestations

I use this inside my case. It comes with mounting hardware making it really easy to route however you want. It also has 3 brightness levels and an on/off switch.

For backlighting behind my monitors/desk, I use something like this. I typically only use a single color, but I opted for a version with color changing LEDs. The adhesive on these things sucks, so if you purchase one, I suggest getting some of these and some zipties to mount it.

u/kb3uoe · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I have the red version of this.

https://www.amazon.com/NZXT-CB-LED20-RD-2-Metres-Sensitivity-Sleeved/dp/B0046Y5Z92/ref=pd_ybh_a_71?ie=UTF8&refRID=ER7QBF04BGR2PJAPME12&th=1

Easy setup, though you may wanna use different connectors to hang it up with, as the sticky part of the included ones isn't that sticky.

u/DGTownsman · 1 pointr/NZXT

I use this in my H440 when I need the showcase lighting. Has the dimmer/on-off in the expansion slot so it's easy to just reach back there when needed.

u/Rolldawgz · 1 pointr/buildapc

Hue+ if you want an entire controller, lots of customization, RGB. Costs a bit at $60.

NZXT also sells strips of a single color (blue, white, red) with a brightness controller and on/off switch

u/SilentBobVG · 1 pointr/buildapc

I have these NZXT light strips, they work great and look great. They have a dimmer controller on it too which is handy

u/Gaff_Tape · 1 pointr/buildapc

The LEDs on the fans aren't going to light up your case as much as you think they will, so if you want interior lighting you'll need a LED strip. This NZXT white LED strip fits in an expansion slot on the back of your case (doesn't plug into the motherboard though; all its power comes from a Molex 4-pin connection to the power supply) and will be more than enough for the 450D.

u/Dronicusprime · 0 pointsr/pcmods

These are what I have, they are very bright.
