Well you should order from Amazon to stay in that price range. Check these shorts out 1 or 2. I really recommned full bibs though because the shorts tend to move around, but I really don't know your preference with that. With that being said, if you live close enough to one of those bike shops just go in so you can try a pair on to know your size so you don't have to order multiple pairs online.

Newbie road cyclist riding a Giant Defy 5 with stock everything, and I'm dealing with saddle pain. I have a pair of Pearl Izumi Quest bibs (http://www.amazon.com/Pearl-Izumi-Quest-Short-Medium/dp/B008BZPVCI), and while they're an improvement over non-padded shorts, I feel like they (forgive my indelicacy) somehow shift things around so that I'm putting more pressure right on the crotch/perineum instead of on the sit bones. The experience varies - a couple days ago I did 20 miles with no pain, and today I started having pain within about 8 miles. I'm not sure if this has to do with my posture, the fit, the saddle, the shorts being cheap or the shorts just not fitting me well. Any advice?
