I don't have a picture, but I use my Superlux HD668B, a Blue Snowball, Corsair K65 RGB LUX [MX Red], Logitech G Pro, and a Pecham Extended mousepad to cover up my swiss cheese desk.
I definitely suggest the HD668B if you want a new pair of headphones for cheap, best pair of headphones I've ever had. Removable cable, top tier sound, and you can change the earpads if you want to.

Edit: I can provide low quality pictures of my messy ass desk if you want. Here's an album, and yes, those are my three coolers + a box.
Got this during an amazon lightning sale for less than 15.
The white fabric stains like crazy from oils coming off your wrists and doesn't wash out in a washing machine.
Get the black version which is only $10 http://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Non-Slip-Waterproof-XX-Large/dp/B014CP231W

Cable Management: involves the cable raceway attached below the desk using Command Strips from Wal-Mart. The cord management sleeves came in 4 pieces and I used that to organize all the wires. I have the speaker remote attached next to the lifting mechanism under the desk which is nice for quick volume control. The sub-woofer is placed on the desktop due my preference of having the fewest number of cables coming down from the desk. The one cord that hangs down is the power strip that runs to the outlet. The power strip is placed within the c-clamp of one of the monitor arms.

Price: I was able to get a lower price in September 2018 at Office Depot using a 20% off coupon that was in general circulation. The final price with taxes and shipping to store was $149.90. But, I would gladly pay the $159.99 listed here.

Overall, I love the desk. In fact, I bought another one for my wife. The ability to switch between standing and sitting with the lifting mechanism is well worth the low price I paid. The setup requires minimal effort to lift - I personally use two hands for stability. I do think that an addition of a computer tower on the desktop will make it difficult, but not impossible, to lift. There is mention of wobbling in one of the review videos on YouTube, but it is barely noticeable on a day to day use. I will say that my only complaint is the desktop is not solid wood and I have experienced a bit of surface lift after a cup with condensation was left on the desktop overnight. I recommend using a coaster if you plan to having drinks on your desk.
Happy Birthday, enjoy it! I sure did enjoy my first iMac.
Edit: I recommend getting a mousepad. I’d recommend one that spans your keyboard and mouse: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014CP231W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QsE1CbCKAQT8H
It’ll help isolate your keyboard noise.
I have this full size, 30" x 11" one from Pecham. I'm liking it a lot so far, and it's even cheaper than this obnoxious master race stuff. Plus there's no need to wait for Massdrop.
I'm a big fan of the XXL size pads. Just got this one
I also have a couple Pecham pads, work great, no physical flaws after years of use and washing. Only gripe I have is the same as /u/aCoolUserNameDur in that it just looks dingy.
The Pecham is $8.35 at the time of writing this comment.
Amzon Link to the Pecham
How smelly is this? I bought a PECHAM pad but had to return it because it made my house smell like a tire factory.
Do you have a mechanical keyboard? Unfortunately a mat wont' do too much for that, but you don't need to spend that much to get a decent mat. There are some inexpensive, but good quality mats on Amazon. I'd try that out to see what kind of difference it makes for you. Also, you could try some furniture pads on your desk.
Not really https://smile.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Non-Slip-Waterproof-XX-Large/dp/B014CP231W/
You can find Chinese extended mousepads for around $10 all day everyday. Different designs or color cost more, but most share the same measurements and specs as these. Example:
Flags for $9
Old timey pirate ship and world map for $17
Tons of randomness for $21
ENCHANCE for $20
Some more randomness for $16
Simple colors but double the thicnkess (6mm) for $20
And more if you keep looking.
It says it's machine washable. I have 2 XXXL Pecham mats (~$8 when on sale), they do fine on normal cycle/warm water. That will get the chemical smell out pronto, but it will take all day drying in the sun or indoors with a fan blowing to dry it.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CP231W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
i have 2 of these. one for me one for the GF. they are great. Also the PECHAM logo is not nearly as big as it looks in the listing picture. ive had mine for a month she has had hers for about a week. no issues yet.
For $12.99, this may be a slightly narrower (780mm wide), off brand alternative. Much of the product description is identical to the OP.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B014CP231W/ref=sxr_pa_click_within_right1?psc=1
If you need something smaller, you can find the PECHAM Gaming Mouse Pad on amazon.ca at 31in x 12in. I've used it for almost two years. It costs $17 and only has its brand on one corner of the mat. Spec wise its identical to the Corsair one, just not as long.
If you need a 36in x 12in pad and don't want any logos or brand, there is the Vipamz Extended Xxxl also on Amazon for $17.
Both of these are machine washable and have stitched 'anti-fray' edges
here you go

I use this thing and can't recommend it enough.
https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-30-71x11-81-Inch/dp/B014CP231W
I have this one. It's great, I don't run out of room, although my keyboard doesn't have a number pad, stitching holds up well, and doesnt slip. Feels good to use. Only complaint is that it might get dusty. If you are worried about the PECHAM logo at the bottom, it isn't that big.
https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Non-Slip-Waterproof-XX-Large/dp/B014CP231W
I just got this Pecham XXL mouse pad on Amazon for $10 about a week ago, I'm super happy with it, although I wish they would have put the starting/finishing point of the edge stitching at the top-left instead of the bottom-left.
It's half the price, great quality and seems like it'll last me forever. I've only ever owned a wristrest from Glorious (given free for review) and I really wasn't thrilled with the quality of it especially considering the retail price.
Okay, I tried to actually fit a 1440p monitor and the GTX1080 into my suggestion. I sadly was just about not able to do so..
But hey bonus points for $1337? xD
I will still provide my suggestion but without the monitor & I will provide a suggestion that is closer to your maximum budget with slightly "better" parts.
Almost with 1440p monitor

Learn about cool technology in only a couple minutes!

Likely that TechQuickie got even more video's that you can have a look at to get answers. It's a great YouTube channel for easy, quickly explained questions about PC tech.
---
Guides
---
Now before you have a look at all these guides. The best guide in most cases will always be your MANUAL. Some manuals are garbage, but most of them are more than good enough to be able to help figure out most problems.
This is my personal favorite because it goes in depth, but still keeps the video relatively short.
It also got great camera work so you are able to follow all the steps very well.
I would suggest to install the aftermarket CPU cooler right away, then you don't have to clean the thermal paste.
I decided to skip the start of the video. The reason being that the video is posted on 17th of May 2013, he gives the rationale of his selected parts at the start. This is a very long time ago, so the parts are very old, so no need to hear this out. But building a PC is still pretty much the same. No drastic changes.
There are a lot of different build guides on the internet, but I really like this one. It's easy to follow.
Very simple and easy to follow guide again.
The temperature difference between the best and the "worst" thermal compound is a couple degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between applying thermal compound one way or an other.. is 0 degrees.
Be careful though! The only way that the temperature will rise is when you don't put enough. So it needs to have enough, but too much can cause problems as well. So don't go overkill either!
Thermal compound helps with the contact of the cooler + the CPU. They both have microscopically small gaps, which the thermal compound fills up to let the heat get too the heatsink.
You have to download "media creation tool" which is located at the bottom of the page (blue button). Run that program with a 4GB+ USB flash drive plugged into a PC. Then follow the simple steps and the program will make the USB drive bootable. After that all you have to do is build the PC and boot from that USB drive to install Windows.
This video is another older video, but it works pretty much the same in Win 8/10.
This video explains it very well, as well as their recommendations. For security I advise to only get Avira (if you don't mind to get an add every day; if you do mind - just use Microsoft Defender) & Malwarebytes. If you want to pay for an anti-virus; Webroot! Light weight; very high detection rate.
Hope you like it and If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

$10 for this one at amazon.

I've been using it for close to a year with no complaints.
OP's mat.
Just as good offbrand one for a third of the price. Have one myself..
Bought this a couple months ago - been able to take lots. I would totally recommend.

I have 3 different pads—I keep buying bigger ones. They're all great and can be machine washed and dried:

I recently bought a Pecham pad a while back. Comes in various sizes, I got the XXL to fit both my KB and mouse to keep them off my desk. Nice quality.
I've been using this one for a while now and really like it. It's just a bit over 30 inches long.
Large mousepad like 15$
https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-30-71x11-81-Inch/dp/B014CP231W
Not a deal but i bought this Pecham off amazon and it's super nice and well made.
https://www.amazon.ca/PECHAM-Gaming-Mouse-Pad-Waterproof/dp/B014CP231W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480346998&sr=8-1&keywords=pecham+mouse+pad
Glteck XXXL Mousemat. Love it. The Pecham XXL Mouse mat works really well and is almost identical to the Corsair MM300, but with a lower price tag.
Here you go.
I have this and it gives about 1ftx1ft of space for my mouse with my TKL keyboard. https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Non-Slip-Waterproof-XX-Large/dp/B014CP231W
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014CP231W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_nHFIBbZAC69RE
I own one of these and have no complaints.
i don't really understand why anyone needs a mousepad under their keyboard, but wtvr.
I wish the medium size anti-fray mat was a better price. The non-stitched pads last about a year for me at most.
also, i have no idea if this is a good brand, but here's a stitched extended pad for $11: https://smile.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-30-71x11-81-Inch/dp/B014CP231W
I'd probably get something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-30-71x11-81-Inch/dp/B014CP231W/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1523285858&sr=1-4&keywords=large+mouse+pad
I have a hots version of this:
https://gear.blizzard.com/us/catalog/product/view/id/6569/s/diablo-oversized-desk-mat/category/37/
If you like the full size so you can fit keyboard and your mouse here is a pretty cheap one.
https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-30-71x11-81-Inch/dp/B014CP231W/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1523307398&sr=8-5&keywords=full+mouse+pad
i just remembered it, it’s pecham. if you want a cheap mousepad then get it https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-Water-Resistant/dp/B014CP231W/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=extended+mouse+pad&qid=1559003709&s=gateway&sr=8-8
I got this mouse pad not too long ago on sale for like 7.99. Its amazing! Its soft enough to cushion when I pick up and put down (slam in frustration) my mouse and its HUGE it fits my entire G910 Spectrum with room to spare for my mouse. Plus this has stitched edges and the logo came off easily with rubbing alcohol if you're into that. And as of posting this its only 9.99 so its even cheaper than the corsair.
Edit: one thing worth noting is that the texture is just a liiiiitle rougher than I was expecting. It feels good with the mouse but your wrist may not like rubbing against it very much.
It's tiny.
You can get something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014CP231W
What is this? A mousepad for ants? Try this, hide part of it under your keyboard and then stretch it across your desk. https://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Non-Slip-Waterproof-XX-Large/dp/B014CP231W/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1483714492&sr=8-8&keywords=mouse+pad+xxl
I got this one because of the size - wide but not too deep (31 x 12 inches). I have a small desk and any deeper and it wouldn't have fit easily.
It's nothing fancy but it works great and I'm very happy with it. Also the logo is very understated.
If you're considering the Pecham XXL mouse pad I can tell you that it doesn't appreciably reduce noise from keyboard. A towel doesn't look as nice but might work better.
Ages ago I bought a sheet of polymeric mastic from McMaster-Carr and used it with some success on PC side panels. It's extremely heavy and applied to the bottom of a keyboard may help dampen sound. Unfortunately I think I threw away the leftover so I can't test.
I just got this one for 8.26 from a sale the other day... should I consider getting this and sending it back?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014CP231W/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1451941701&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=pecham&dpPl=1&dpID=41-nmVadWaL&ref=plSrch , (sorry for the messy link, I'm on mobile) been using this one for a while, and it's been great, especially for the price.
I bought this mouse pad months ago for its size and so far love it https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B014CP231W/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is a full list of everything in the PC & on the desk: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/m4gz4C
Oh and this is the mousepad: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CP231W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and thank you :)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CP231W, I got it on sale for $7 that I use as a desk protector at work. It smells like ass for a whole but fits your budget.
You could go on amazon and look at reviews. Personally I can't game on soft surfaces and just use a soft one as a desk protector. Look whether you want speed or control surface and go from there.
This is just like upgrading from a 60Hz to a 144Hz monitor. While 60Hz is playable, 144Hz is so much more fluid.
You'll see a difference in the fluidity of your movement immediately.
Edit: Found a great mousepad that is on [sale] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CP231W/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
I actually got this one from Amazon. U can probably find a similar one on eBay for $5 with similar quality tbh. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014CP231W/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1522599648&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=desk+mouse+pad
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CP231W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Is that better than this?
Hopefully others think this looks clean.

I have this that has been great for me. Spilled some beer on it recently and tried to wash it by hand. Now it looks kinda white maybe I should have used different soap. But I promise it's not as dirty as it might look I'll try to figure out how to get it darker again.
I have this mouse - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RJNE3TK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.i97AbNW1D5JQ
And this mousepad - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014CP231W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Vj97AbPX178PG
Dumb question:
I wanna get an extra large mousepad that offers my 800 DPI mouse plenty of room for those headshots, but also to cover my desk and go under my keyboard.
Does brand material matter? otherwise I'm gonna get the cheapest one with good reviews, prolly something like this tho id rather get one without markings:

Option 1
Option 2
Don't run out of mousepad. No one really uses slick surface, so don't worry too much about texture.
They're only around $20 as is:

I mostly agree with Dalarrus but 2 changes. For headphones I personally use studio headphones but have tried and really like the hyper x cloud 2 headset. As far as mouse mats go if you're spending $30 on an XL mat because it has corsair or razer on it you're doing it wrong, they're all made the same with exception to the rbg mouse pads because you know..lights and shit. I like this one. Ignore that captain guy.

You'll have to use Razer Synapse, which is their software for their kb/m, headsets, etc. Your mousepad is something you may want to invest in as well if you have the space. A bigger mousepad will allow you to use a lower DPI, which makes aiming much easier especially for smaller adjustments. I use 400 dpi with this mousepad for reference.

Personally, I love my XL mouse pad. I like having both my keyboard on it and still having a bunch of room to use my mouse.
10/10 would recommend something like this.

Black pad with logo in corner, and then a black one that is blank. I have this, it does the job great.
This one is goin for just $9.99 on amazon. I have it and it looks as addvertised and has held off well for a couple of years so far.

To piggyback off your post, right now on Amazon there is a nice XX Large mousepad for sale for $8 here
I already have a similar one but picked this up as a backup since it's at a steal of a price right now.

Its not as wide as you want, but fits the length which is the important part. Without going to a 36x18, there aren't many options near 17 wide with a 30 inch length.
EDIT: Found this. They apparently make any size, thickened, and style you'd like. http://www.nrmat.com/blank-mouse-pad-p4.html
there's one other my co-worker uses that I might recommend:

Not sure if this qualifies as a "simple" question, but...
I bought a mousepad that's just about an inch taller than my keyboard tray, but otherwise perfectly sized. Also, my keyboard tray is slightly curved outward in the front. What I want to do is cut the bottom of the mousepad to fit the keyboard tray perfectly, and then (here's where the sewing comes in) stitch the edges up kind of like this to prevent fraying. I have a sewing machine, and my girlfriend knows how to use it, but neither of us have any idea how to achieve the sort of result I'm looking for. I'm guessing that I'm probably going to have to settle for something a little bit simpler than the example above, but any sort of guidance would be highly appreciated. I do have an old mousepad with the same type of edges as the new one, so I can test the method before committing.
This one is quite ideal, shame about the logo size: https://www.amazon.co.uk/PECHAM-Extended-Mousepad-Waterproof-Non-Slip-Black/dp/B014CP231W
Although it is not the same texture, the Steelseries XXL mousepad is quite nice. But if you're looking for a woven texture, I highly advice you check out this one. http://www.amazon.com/PECHAM-Extended-Non-Slip-Waterproof-XX-Large/dp/B014CP231W
In that case, the Corsair M65 Pro is on sale at Best Buy right now, (what I'm currently using) then add the CM Storm with MX Browns (or whatever switch you want and if you need a Ten Key, get that model) - if you've never tried any switches check this out, then add this mousepad for $10 (what I'm currently using, works and looks fantastic)
