I just changed the bulbs to brighter ones. Upgrading the entire headlight assembly would be too expensive for me. These are what I got and they are better. These lights weren't bad at all, replaced both low and high for 50 bucks all together.

No they are regular halogens with a permanent blue tint which filters out the yellow components of the light.
