There are other 4WD bushless SCTs for less than $450, but they may not be as "name brand" and won't have the parts support.

4WD ECX Torment- Brushed, but only $240. I have nothing but good things to say about mine

Tower Hobbies Cutback-$250, but all the reviews are negative

Redcat Blackout http://www.amazon.com/Redcat-Racing-Brushless-Waterproof-Electronics/dp/B00VRNR9O4/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1458480168&sr=8-7&keywords=redcat+blackout - $217. Redcat is a cheaper brand, but the parts are pretty easy to find online.

Hobbyking Trooper- https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=67795 Not a bad truck I'm told, but you can only get parts from Hobbyking and they are often out of stock.
