Hey thanks for easing some of my worries. This is what my PSU looks like:

If you go to the fourth picture, you'll see the unlabeled 8 pin modular connectors. The manual doesn't really say anything about it either.

Thanks. The RAM is brand new so hopefully that's not the problem.

I checked and this is my psu.

Adding bEnableFileSelection=1 to Skyrimprefs.ini seems to have fixed the problem for me so far (knock on wood). At least I've gotten through Realistic Ragdolls-FNIS-XPMSSE-Flower Girls with no crashes and everything working as expected.

If it starts crashing again, next steps will be to check the RAM and replace the psu.

edit: Oh, and I do have the latest nvidia drivers. Upon reinstalling Windows today, I DDU'd the drivers that Windows installed and then installed the current drivers. I also just opted into the current SteamVR beta (an hour or so ago, not back before the problem began), though I doubt that made a difference either way.
