The 77 original price seems grossly inflated. Here is the non GT model for 29

https://www.amazon.ca/Andget-SA-708-Headset-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B00DU2CHE2

The GT model is available in the states for 22 USD or 18 USD at walmart.

and 30% of you don't own one. I understand money can be tough for some folks, but for $9 you can buy a microphone off amazon here. And for five more dollars you could get a headset here. Amazon will ship it to you for free; yes it will take it awhile to get to your house, but better late than never! So for the investment of the game itself you can get the one piece of hardware that is needed to accelerate your play, and make you better. Please use 1 hour of your paycheck to buy this. Ya they may not be great, but they will work.

I've had these for a couple years:

https://www.amazon.com/SA-708-Stereo-Headphone-Headset-Microphone/dp/B00DU2CHE2

A little on the cheap side to look at but super comfortable to wear, sound is good, never had complaints about the mic, and the price is right.

I just picked these up two days ago, and I'm loving them so far, very good sound quality, the bass is great. The mic is good too, very clear and crisp. Cord is long enough to reach my mic/speaker ports behind my PC and gives me enough space to stand up and take a step. The vol control/mic switch is nice, not heavy, although I wish it had a clip so I could pin it to my shirt. The set seems pretty durable, I havent been babying them too much, either. 5/5 so far.

Source: I've had them for 3 days.

Wifi extenders (also called repeaters, which you'll see in some places), are made to solve the problem of your router's signal strength not going far enough. So say that you router is in a room that's on the front side of your house. You want to be able to hang out in your backyard (on the other/back side of your house) and surf the web on your laptop/tablet/phone, but your wifi signal doesn't go that far. To fix that, you'd get a repeater and plug it in to a normal wall power outlet somewhere between your router and your backyard (no other wires needed), where you want the signal to extend to. You don't need an ethernet cable to use an extender. Here's an example of an extender. I can go more into extenders and how they work if you want more info.

However, your problem might not be that your wifi signal isn't strong enough (which can be solved by just moving as close to the router as possible, if you don't want to get an extender). It might be your internet speed itself. Your internet speed's divided into download and upload speeds. From what I've read, 10Mb/s of upload speed or more is required to stream, so make sure you've got that (you can check by calling and asking your ISP or by doing a speedtest at speedtest.net or something like that, just note that websites like that are not always reliable/accurate). If you're below 10Mb/s, you might need to upgrade your internet plan.

If you're streaming and gaming online at the same time, I highly recommend that you ditch wireless and use an ethernet cable connecting your computer and your router. That way, you get the most reliable and fastest possible internet connection.

As for the headphones, I'd say to go with the Razer pair (as long as they're not in bad condition or anything), as your Sades cans are up on amazon right now for $15 for a new pair, while the Razer pair is up for $50.

TLDR; You might not need a wireless extender (I explained the type of situation where you would need one); check with your ISP about your upload speeds and make sure they're not below 10 Mb/s. Try to use wired ethernet instead of wifi if you can. Go with the Razer cans.

This is probably your best option for under $20. /www.amazon.com/dp/B00DU2CHE2/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_nAmcvb11VFMX8

  • $525 PC (Next-Gen Crusher)
  • $499 TV (because we can use this)
  • $24 Keyboard
  • $18 Headset
  • $10 Mouse
  • $0 Free-To-Play games!
  • $39 Top 3 action games on Steam.

    Total: $1115

You could even cut these costs down. 1) Most people don't need a headset. 2) you could use a keyboard and or mouse from a previous computer (upgrading from a Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3 to PS4 you have to use a new controller not the old one).

  • $499 Xbox One
  • $499 TV (Because peasants believe this works with consoles)
  • $207 3 Games ($70 each)

    Total: $1207

It's hard to cut these costs down, maybe you already have a TV, or you can get a 'deal' on a game, but peasants always brag they (allegedly) have 4K TVs.
u/Garenator · 2 pointsr/buildapc

But what if you want a mic as well? AFAIK, most non gaming headphones with mics cost a lot more than gaming headphones with mics.

this is one of amazons #1 selling headphones, 4 star rating with over 1k reviews, and they're not even $20.

if you get seinnheiser you're spending a lot more, even for earbuds.

Now whether or not the price differences are worth it one way or the other I'm not trying to say, just that if you want a gaming headset with a mic, it seems like you are better off going with the "gaming" brand rather than more name brands.

Hey man, sorry to hear you got burned. [I have a ton of headphones, surprisingly I use these most often] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DU2CHE2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1427088609&sr=8-1&keywords=Sades+headset&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=51Sb5-PmJcL&ref=plSrch) best 15 bucks I've spent on pc equipment. I will say, the company takes quite awhile to ship them, but it is well worth the money.

I pretty much just decided that I want to get better sound quality out of my headphones after listening to a friend's headphones and I don't really know anything about headphones or the current market, so I could use some help!

I used the Sades SA-708 for about a year. It has adequate sound, and the mic is good enough. For the $15 price tag, this thing is hard to beat. It isn't perfect, and not the most comfortable thing I ever wore, but again, for $15, it is a diamond in the rough.

u/pureparadise · 1 pointr/buildapc
u/_THAT_GUY__ · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

if you can go up to $60 this is the the best headset i have ever used for gaming. (with the exception of the more expensive version of it that sound the same, they just have more features).

If you can't then this is one of the higher rating budget headsets on amazon. But at that pricepoint I cannot promise anything http://www.amazon.com/SA-708-Stereo-Headphone-Headset-Microphone/dp/B00DU2CHE2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1419804911&sr=1-1&keywords=headset

Nice 15 dollar headphones.

I'm actually curious though are those any good?

that's the one I use. It's of course not amazing but I game constantly with it and haven't had any issues with sound quality. Can be a little tight around the ears though.

Here's one that's a bit more but is bigger around the ears.

You may not have a high opinion of Turtle Beach headsets but have you even had one? Because I have, I've had 2, after one broke in an accident I bought the same headset.. Because it's cheap, simple very good quality. It's top notch for a starter headset for anyone.

The Turtle Beach PX21 if you can find it anywhere cheap.

But if you insist no Turtle beach, and under 50 USD.

Then fine, here is the cheapest headset I found which just happens to be the best quality based on reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Gaming-Headphone-Headset-Microphone/dp/B00DU2CHE2/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1411096844&sr=1-1

It's a cheap, no brand headset for less than $20. 228 Five Star Reviews.

Seriously, I bought the Red ones (since it matches the rest of my cheap build) and the only problem I have had is catching the volume control on my arm rest when I move from time to time

u/SnakesOnAShip · 1 pointr/letsplay

Something like this could work. Just look around on Amazon, or wherever you prefer. Just be sure to check the reviews first to make sure there is no big problems with them first.

u/Gswansso · 1 pointr/xboxone

It's not a "headset", but I use a pair of skullcandy earbuds with the in-line mic. I also have a cheap headset I bought off of amazon, it gets the job done, but it's a bit light on padding in the headband, sounds fine and I haven't had any issues with the mic

The link to the one I have is below,

You could save 25¢ a day for a month and get decent mic/headset.

Edit: For all you downvoting dickbags.

$11.75

$9.99

$10.17

$3.36

Tons more around that price range.

Or you could save a WHOPPING 50¢ a day and get $15.99

Point is, having no mic is no excuse. A 12 year old could save enough for anything that could do the job for chatting on a ps4
