Aparently Shout Factory had been negotiating the rights but have had a hell of a time of it.

There is hope as Amazon just relased The Maxx on a print on demand basis: The Maxx - Complete Series

On the plus side, the entire DVD series was released 11 months ago :D

You can get it pretty cheaply via Amazon's dvd print on purchase thing. It includes commentaries as well, which is nice.
