Put a battery pack in there so you don't need a USB power cable:

And an HDMI to mini HDMI cable to get rid of that adapter:

Edit: And you can add Qi charging to that battery for $10:

Inside the back cover is one of these Qi wireless charging receivers. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to find a 5V contact to solder to like the Moto G has because I really didn't want to have to see the USB plug and wanted access to the port in case I needed it for something.
Unfortunately there is no visible contact in the 5V regulator so I taped the receiver inside the back panel and closed the connector with just enough room for it to be removable.
No interference with NFC and it charges great! Very happy I decided to give it a shot.
NFC cannot charge phones. It transmits data, not power. You're thinking of wireless charging, for which there are multiple technologies. The most common is Qi, and Samsung has recently adopted Powermat as well. The Xperia C4 does not support any wireless charging, so you'd need an adapter like this in order to use a charger. If you got such an adapter, any Qi charger would work, regardless of brand.
Any idea if the back cover on this thing is removable? Maybe this would work.

To the contrary, an induction charger can be extremely thin, about the width of your average sticker. You can even get them aftermarket to put inside a standard battery door. Here's an example.
In fact, it doesn't seem unreasonable for a third party to make a clip on backplate for the G watch to do wireless charging..
I have done this. I ran a Choetech pad, wita a cheep reciver attached to a cheep micro to mini usb adapter.
It was a hell of a lot of work to not be able to see if my keyboard was over the charger/charging...
Considering how long the battery life is though (I use this daily at work, 8+ hour days, I forget to charge it for a week at a time.) it could be really nice if you want to use this as a daily driver/at home at work.
M7 user here! I just use this. http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-micro-USB/dp/B00H7FJX7M
Put it in the USB slot and under a case.
You could probably use this to do it now (if you already have a charging pad), although not sure how well it would work/appear.
There's this, but it hogs your USB port.
Not out of the box, but if you have a case to tuck one of these Qi adapters - that should work - it does according to this guy anyway:

I'm definitely going to try this in the future, have to figure out how to hide it with a sticker or something that's just the right size for my case. Or maybe paint the Qi film to match. Or put a sticker on the Qi thing itself!
I bought this off eBay. It was cheap and I can use it on other devices. Not great but not bad.

If you make another one, perhaps you could had wireless charging as well so there's no great hole in the bottom of the book..

At present the OnePlus One is not officially supported. Purchasing receivers like this (http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-micro-USB/dp/B00H7FJX7M) will enable wireless charging for your OPO, but we can't guarantee it will work when placed inside Ampere because of alignment issues.
We've had quite a few people inquire about compatibility with the OnePlus One, and we're definitely looking into the numbers. Thanks for your feedback!
I'm going to go the route with a Qi universal receiver.

You do take up the bottom port of your device, but if the matts are much cheaper, so I shouldn't have a problem getting a charger for work/home/car
You can also look at one of the universal Qi adapters from Amazon that go into the USB port with a thin ribbon. Then the adapter sits inside any case you want.
Better option, IMO, having had both.

So something like this but smaller?

hmmm. ikea makes tables with wireless charging built in http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S69094954/ (QI standard).
They also make these: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-micro-USB/dp/B00H7FJX7M
I don't think it would be that hard to implement on an existing wireless mouse that charged over USB!
