The Strikefire II Red/Green Dot is a rugged, reliable red dot sight that is at home in a variety of shooting applications. A little while back I decided it was about time I built myself an AR-15, to fill that little corner of my collection that has been empty for too long. I was finally able to finish it earlier today.

Outside of having to file the detent for the safety selector, and fighting like crazy to get the hammer pin past the J spring, the build went together fairly easily. There is a slight bit of slop between the lower and the upper, but its nothing I feel any desire to try and fix. It really is fine as it is.
I also found the Vortex Strikefire and like the price point.
I have the same gun. BTW you will NOT regret the purchase. This gun will do everything a $1000-1500 gun will do. If i were you id fist swap out the stock for one with a recoil pad this is a good one here:
