I'll agree with you. He was presented with several options that would have allowed him to pay the creators, and since none of them were exactly what he wanted, he pirated the episode instead.


And I think it's pretty much bullshit that he only wanted one episode. If you pirate one, you'll pirate all of them.

Unfortunately, it appears that Game of Thrones is unavailable in the Google Play store. It is available in the Amazon VideoOnDemand store, but I don't believe there's any (easy) way to watch videos from there on a non-Kindle Fire device.

If this were another movie/tv series, available in the Google Play store, you'd be able to purchase it there then have your son log in with your account to watch it. Sounds pretty round-a-bout, doesn't it? Well, Google must be diametrically opposed to Christmas, because they haven't given us any way to purchase stuff for someone else (even in the form of a gift card).

I don't usually recommend pirating, but it may be your only option. If it makes you feel guilty, then... just buy each desired episode on iTunes, and pirate it as well.

I'm having a hard time finding public videos of our performances. We have a professional videographer record everything, but we aren't allowed to share those videos since they'll be going on our DVD for the season. I wasn't able to find any videos of our most recent "Heroes and Villians" show, which we'll take to Tampa.

HBO already offer episodes for purchase see below. They are no able to offer for-sale inflight series. Why? Because they have obligations to a subscriber base. Are they losing money? No and not for a long time.

Would people pay this way if it were inflight? Maybe. But guess what? HBO wouldn't exist and pirating would still flourish. HBO relies on a subscriber base not an a al carte one.

That show is very expensive to produce. If you want HBO to stay around and take big risks on making shows like this then you had better pay for it. My family pays $15 for the subscription and my brother bought the Blu-ray set.

You can always buy Season 1 on Amazon. Unfortunately, the DVD is currently unavailable.

Why do people complain about having to subscribe to HBO to watch Game of Thrones? You can buy it right on Amazon and stream it to your preferred device. What am I missing?
