Edit: PSA: Don't buy TV's that are on discount as of right now on Amazon, at least on the lower range side. All those fuckers are HD ready only (720p). 720p won't cut it no more. <1080p say no!

Processor - Ryzen 5 1600 - 17k

Motherboard - Any good motherboard which support AM4 socket. Dont choose the cheapest one. - GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 AM4 - 7k

RAM - Any good 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz(or more) RAM HyperX FURY Black 8 GB 2400 - 6k

SSD - Get atleast 250GB. Nvme ssd is much faster than sata ssd. Samsung is the best in SSDs. - Samsung 960 EVO nvme - 11k

Power supply - Get a good power supply. Don't cheap out. This is the one thing keeping your other components safe. Bad power supply can even catch fire. Corsair VS650 - 4.5k

Cabinet - Get whatever you like. You can get cool looking cabinet for less than 2k to 3k. Iball Stallion - 2.5k

Hard disk - You can always buy more storage later- WD internal 2TB -5k

Graphic card - It is a must have because Ryzen doesnt have an internal GPU. Nvidia 1050 Ti - 1050ti -12k

Total - 65K

You will get better prices if you look around. In most cases, it is overpriced on Amazon. I have just mentioned approx prices.

If you want better performance than this, then just spend 5k more on the processor and get Ryzen 1600X + Coolermaster 212 cooler.

Amazon are having 20% off some warehouse items at the moment so might want to consider (only shows discount at checkout):

GTX 1050Ti for £108

Zotac GTX 1050Ti for £111

MSI GTX 1050 for £80

Gigabyte RX460 for £66

FYI a ZOTAC 4gb 1050ti OCed off Amazon (US amazon) is only $220.24

I'm not sure what country you're in /u/14th_Eagle and /u/iamtehstig but maybe that helps?

The EU version of amazon has an ASUS STRIX 1050TI for £207.64

Thanks in advance.

I have a Dell XPS 8500 (purchased 02/2013) that I am trying to squeeze a little more life out of. The only game I really play is World of Warcraft. That and school is all this machine is used for. I'm thinking about installing a GTX 1050 ti but I'd like to know if it is worth the approximately $150. I did install a 1050 ti on another machine but it is 1 year newer.

The PC has 12gb of system memory and an intel i7-3770 3.4 ghz processor.

Linking a couple of the cards I am looking at.

It really is a great card! Runs pretty much anything on high/ultra settings @ 1080p. She also uses it to play all of the assasins creed games and black desert and she seems pretty happy with it! I bought the Zotac OC edition one https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510B-10L/dp/B01M27X994/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1485808035&sr=8-2&keywords=zotac+1050ti

What would you think about the Zotac GTX 1050 Ti OC? That seems like it should handle things well, and not be bottlenecked?

Thats a rx 470 4gb

The 8gb 470 am seeing is waay above ur budget. But the 4gb will be enough too.the mods usually need more vram on the card. So with 4GB u are good with the rx 470.

Also on those sites scroll to bottom and see the prices of other card types suggested

Any questions?

Ok, for virtual machines, RAM is key. 16 GB RAM is ideal. Also, look at the reliability of Kingston for SSD. I use the Samsung EVO line for SSD and haven’t had problems with it. You don't want to cheap out on the SSD. Its just a little cheaper than the Samsung, but the difference isn't that much. Instead, I would reconsider your choice of GPU.

Are you going to use a 4K monitor any time soon? For just using a 4k display, a 1060 is good enough. But for 4k gaming, a 1060 will be a major disappointment. 4k gaming can only be done with a 1070 (with low-medium settings) or 1080 (medium to high settings).

So, if you are limited to 1080p gaming, get a 1050 or 1060. Next, if you are limited to 1080p gaming, why bother with 6GB ram on the card? Get a lower RAM spec 1050 or 1060 instead. I use a 3 GB Geforce 960 and it is good enough for Doom 2016 on medium-high settings on 1080p. However, I don't recommend the 9 series any more as it is too old (unless you're really constrained by budget)

Consider these two options ..

GeForce GTX1060 3GB which is approx 21k
https://www.amazon.in/Zotac-GeForce-GTX1060-Graphics-Card/dp/B01KKJAJM4

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB which is under 15k
https://www.amazon.in/Zotac-GeForce-ZT-P10510B-10L-Express-Graphics/dp/B01M27X994

I can personally vouch for the Zotac brand for GPUs. I have used 2 in the past and they were both very reliable.

I will never recommend MSI for motherboards. I have had very bad experiences with MSI and Gigabyte. Only ASUS has been reliable in all of the builds I've made for myself and others.

edit: added recommendations and price for GPUs

That card should do just fine, but here is a cheaper 1050ti

u/King_Barrion · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Ooh, my bad, it seems there are only 1050ti variants with 4GB of RAM. Sorry about that.

Still, if you can afford a ~$35 price increase, I would recommend either the Zotac GTX 1050ti 4GB OC variant or the standard model. Both are amazing cards and I have had good experience with Zotac in my HTPC.

If you can't afford that, you can stick with the EVGA GTX 1050, since it should only perform about ~15% worse than the ti model.

You're welcome.

I had a quick look at the 1050 Tis for sale on Amazon. If you're looking at this Zotac 1050 Ti, it seems like it has decent cooler. I found a review of the card if you're interested. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you buy that card.

u/manav20 · 1 pointr/Monitors

Electronics are always expensive here in India, mostly due to the hefty taxes imposed by the government. For example, Nvidia graphics cards cost almost double of what they cost in the US.

Anyway, after days of research, I've decided to get the U2415. Just wanted to know how bad is the backlight bleed on this one. Could you please share a picture of the monitor with a blank black image opened up in full screen?

Is the processer compatible with the Navidia 1050 Ti(Link to card at bottom)? and is the default motherboard on the Dell Inspiron 660 (Info below) compatible with the processer I linked as well? Because that is the current motherboard I have. Sorry if this seems dumb I really don't know much about computers. :P

MAINBOARD FOR INSPIRON 660:

Processor Socket LGA1155 Socket

Chipset Type Intel B75 Express
