So here is the exact one (The price goes up and down, I just got mine two weeks ago and it was $54 for a Queen!): Wake In Cloud - Botanical Comforter Set, 100% Cotton Fabric with Soft Microfiber Fill Bedding, Yellow Flowers and Green Leaves Floral Garden Pattern Printed on White (3pcs, Queen Size) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BW7D29F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CnjxCbZF4NE46

Here is something really similar (for half the price):

That layout is probably the most optimal for the space you have. I think putting the bed on the other side of the room would make it feel more choppy because of that indent next to the closet. It would be chunk of space at door/dresser > closet passage > chunk of space at foot of bed. If that makes any sense at all. The shelf thing - So you would have a 2-3 foot gap on that side of your bed to accommodate for that shelf. Is that a walkable, usable space for you? Does it crowd the closet/entry too much if you do that? Can that shelf fit at the end of the bed in the corner by any chance?

So! How to make it a little more grown up - I would suggest starting by updating your bedding. The feminine-industrial-boho-ish vibe you've got started is cool (yes I just made that up), just ramp it up a bit.

I believe you have a comforter? Swap it out for a new one OR get a duvet cover and use your existing comforter as the duvet filler (just make sure it will fill the cover, or just get a duvet insert). If you do a print, stick with a small scale print like the floral you have now, or an abstract muted pattern/texture - a bold medallion or stripes might eat up the "visual space" in there. Then you can do the "fancy people" thing as I call it, and get a coordinating throw for the end of the bed, folded neatly along the foot of the bed.. Look at some staged pictures of bedding you'll see what I mean. Sometimes people get a bed scarf specifically for that but a light weight throw or coverlet works just as well. Bump 2 of your pillows for square euro shams in the back and keep 2 standard pillows in front - and feel free to add in as many or as few decorative pillows as you can handle. If the big euro shams seem like too much then 4 standard pillows like you have is fine just prop the ones in the back up so it looks layered.

Something like this would look nice with blush/pink sheets if you want to stick with the colors you have - plus you already have a pink throw you can use at the foot of the bed. It's a lot of texture but its subtle, then splash more color in your future wall art & plant pots. Maybe your artwork/photos can be framed in natural wood to match your light fixture and/or black to match your bed.

I also see a woven basket hiding - maybe play off that with a round jute rug. Peek that out from under the foot of the bed i.e. if it were divided into 4, have 1/4 of it under the bed and the other 3/4 poking out. However it best fits. You have carpet so it's not like you need a beefy rug just something decorative. Lot of ways to play it!

I asked my 13 year old and she likes this one

The "custom" size they mention is just twin xl. Some fees an dorms have full beds so be weary of that.

If you want a cheaper option that has better reviews:

That is truly amazing. To think that someone can create something like that from marble is beyond my imagination. Even more impressive is the ability to sell them on Amazon for 66 bucks plus shipping.

Here's what I need: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01N6UFD4S/?coliid=I3S7PDNQFHCTZY&colid=240Q0TT95H1Y8&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I have just been using a hand-me-down quilt for my bed blanket since I moved into my new place. Now that it's getting colder (I live in MN), it's just not cutting it anymore. Plus, I never have had a grown-up bed set before (the blanket I'm currently using is full of skateboards. I'm a 27 year old female...)

Here's a beautiful grey and white graphic quilt:https://www.amazon.com/City-Scene-Branches-Cotton-Comforter/dp/B01L01K1DI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478038020&sr=8-1&keywords=grey+and+white+graphic+comforter

The rest would be just adding pillows, throws and artwork in complementary colors. A series of framed black and white photos above the bed would personalize the space, or a row of your favorite books.

Thanks! I actually found every one of these today and just not feeling them. I do like the first one, but it's harsh to me. I also love this and wish I could find it in black, but have no idea what this is called either: https://www.amazon.com/Patrician-1C01506-Lauren-Comforter-King/dp/B015R1DDG4/ref=sr_1_11?s=bedbath&ie=UTF8&qid=1473273862&sr=1-11&keywords=Geometric+Comforter&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A362282011

This was purchased for me by my mom and sister and is absolutely the warmest/softest/thickest bedding ever. I have the king size and I literally cocoon in it every night.

I have a sister who's thirteen and we literally just did this for her as a Christmas present.

Would be easier if I knew what colors and stuff she liked, but this still sounds fun so I will see what I can dig up. >D

Edit:
Some non-amazon sets that I thought were cute: One, Two

Amazon links:
I would have loved a set like this as a teenager. It's mature, but also a little whimsical at the same time thanks to the ruching. Seriously I just think ones like this are really stylish. That's the last textured one I swear.

Blue/green and the print's quite cute too. Also has a fair amount of blue. Can you tell what my favorite color is?

While I'm not sure it's a concern or not, I'd just like to put in a sheepish comment about how something with a lot of white is really hard to maintain since white stains so easily. Something teenage me had a problem with, heck I still have a problem with that. I have black sheets for a reason. :<
