There are a lot of cool Lego sets surrounding dinos and such!! If he enjoys puzzles it will be great for him. If seeming too difficult it might be a fun activity for you both to do together :)

There are hundreds of awesome picture books surrounding dinos as well. Dino atlases and storybooks would be a great place to start. Having someone read with him can help expand his vocabulary and place names to pictures! If not pics are still cool enough. Does he have a favourite dinosaur?

Kid friendly documentaries about dinosaurs could also be worthwhile. My brother LOVED them as a kid and still does :) what about those Blue Earth box sets? My brother was mesmerised by them!

Have you ever tried a weighted blanket? You can buy one on Amazon for under $100. My son, now 26, had issues with staying asleep all the way up until he was around 22 or 23. That was when my wife and I found out about the weighted blankets and we bought one for him. He sleeps much better and actually looks more rested than he did before. Mostly due to him actually sleeping through the night under the blanket. With the added weight it is supposed to make them more comforted and held tight. Before the weighted blanket my son would have three comforters on him at night even in the summer time, and we live in Arizona where it's still in the high 70's at night. We kept asking him why he had so many coverings and he couldn't articulate why of course, but after doing some research and talking to people we tried the weighted blanket. What a difference it made. It may not work for you but it might be worth a shot. I included a link below for you to maybe see what I was talking about. They do have higher weights for older people but this one might be good for your daughter and her size/age. Best wishes to you.

We use a nap pad both at home and when traveling (similar to the one linked below). I'm afraid of my son rolling off of a regular bed, and this goes straight on the ground. We went to a hotel once that had stone floors, we ended up putting 2 blankets under for just a little padding. At home we have carpet, and half the time he wakes up in the morning completely off of the mat. *shrug*
It rolls up fairly small, and he doesn't complain that it's uncomfortable!

the short answer is yes, but it's best to test it.
I have one for my daughter both with a soft minky cover, both them from amazon from here( quality seemed good from reviews and it really was).
After 6 months of using it, I can say that she never goes to bed without it and she absolutely loves it.
What to look out for:
- be careful how you wash it, machine wash only the cover, the Weighted blanket wash by hand
- if the children do not stand the blanket, do not force it on them ( some love it but some find it too heavy)
- the weighted blanket for children should be roughly around 10% of your kid's body weight
- the weighted blanket should cover the size of the person and not the size of the bed
I have bought one for me also and I find I sleep way better with it ( no autism here, just people enjoying great sleep)
