eeek,. $5.50 with the buy box to amazon, and it's an add-on item.

You will have to price this at $5.30 to obtain the buy box, and hopefully amazon won't match.

This will net you around $.83 per sale, not including your labels, bagging, inbound shipping, box cost, nor your time.

edit: no need to send me rude messages, I'm just preaching the truth. Just because you can score something for cheap doesn't mean it's profitable via FBA

If you want a lock that'll be tough to cut here's what I've got for the few times I brave locking my nicer bikes outside: http://www.onguardlock.com/store/mastiff-8020

This monster is HEAVY but makes me feel slightly better in addition to using a U-Lock from the same company. You'll need a backpack to haul this around though... Otherwise I ride a cheap bike I picked up off of Craigslist that I won't miss if it is stolen. Too many people I know have had their bikes stolen so I'm very cautious.

We store ours inside using these stands/racks in case you were looking for a solid storage solution:

  1. Wall rack: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01725VF2C/
  2. Floor stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AX6MMG/

Edit: that bike lock offers theft protection for up to $2k, solid investment IMO.

Edit 2: for the wall rack I meant to link the two-bike solution. It sits on the wall and really opens up a lot of space.

I got two Feedback Rakk stands. It has a swing arm that push the bike into. There are a few knock-offs on Amazon. Or vertical arm style. You can also get simple floor racks.

Have seen people post DIY stands in last month: wood and PVC.

u/azneinstein · 3 pointsr/ebikes

You actually have a great idea... what I would do is to drill some A-frame with a 2x4s and make it so the front wheel slots into it and a shorter one for the rear wheel but enough to clear the derailleur. So putting one of these made of 2x4s . And then a strap to keep it all down and secure.

I like some of the others for being stylish, but I'll probably end up with something like this for myself: https://www.amazon.com/FIVE-FLOWER-Mount-Storage-Hanger/dp/B01NCPBY2T?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q

For possibly cheaper but stylish you could look at usung wall brackets and wood to make like a bike shelf.

I just mounted this thing on my front axle:
RockBros Carbon Fiber Bike Kickstand Quick Release Mountain Road Bicycle Stick Stand Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5FHLD9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JUqrDb1HQ6VK5

Pros:

It looks cool

It doesn't hang off the bike looking like a kickstand all the time

It stands the bike up when in ideal garage setting

Cons:

It's fragile as hell

Mounting to the front axle makes the bike more unstable than the back would be since the fork can turn

I don't think it will work on a hill

I had to drill out the axle hole to mount it

There are trees, and chairs, and study crap everywhere, I have absolutely no reason that I couldn't just lean the bike against something and have one less part to fool with

But... I guess it looks neat 😉

Feedback Sports Rakk

They're great, I have one. I need another, you can hook them together.

Edit - plus they fold up flat if you want to toss it in your trunk and take it along.

These allow you to store the bike vertically and fold them flat'ish against the wall: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Steadyrack-11000-Classic-rack/dp/B004N9BUEY

You'd mount them on the left wall and fold your neighbors bikes out of the way when you want to pull one out.

u/Epena501 · 2 pointsr/garageporn

Fleximount also has hooks (sold separately) to use on the racks.

I used these hangers off amazon: Dirza Wall Mount Bike Rack Bicycle Hanger Vertical Bike Storage System for Garage Indoor Shed - Heavy Duty Holds up to 65lbs - Easily Hang/Detach bike hangers

I've got a freestanding 4-bike storage unit that I no longer need. Exact same as the model below. Asking $50, located in N. Raleigh.

Ooh! Which bike rack? I need one for my apartment so I can park my bike inside so it doesn't get stolen again like it did 2 weeks ago and then I wanna murder someone else for taking my shit why do people suck so hard?

whew!

EDIT

Just found this one - it's perfect!

u/UnrealSquare · 2 pointsr/MTB

I haven't personally used any of these products but maybe this Top Vertical Stand, Bike Nook Stand, Double Vertical, or Gravity Stand would work?

u/mattfofatt01 · 1 pointr/cycling

What about something like this

u/nondescript0605 · 1 pointr/ladycyclists

Ah, that's so annoying! Efficient storage will probably depend a lot on where in your building you have room to store things, but here's a couple ideas.

We have one of these from Amazon. You can buy a kit to make it hold four bikes - two on front and two on back. You just extend the pole to fit tightly between the ceiling and floor - no screws or holes. Plus it looks really nice. We are able to put it pretty close to the wall and still get the two bikes on the back side off - I put a wall hanging behind it to prevent marking up the walls. But this means our dining room is now a bike room *shrug*

I also saw this while looking for the link for you and think it looks pretty great for corner storage!

u/m2ellis · 1 pointr/bikecommuting

There are a bunch of stands that hold two bikes stacked like this.

one

two

three

four

And some others. I haven’t used any of them but they mostly have good reviews?

u/wilrycar · 1 pointr/nova

There are indoor bike racks that lean against your wall and raise you bike up in the air.

As an example: Goplus Gravity Freestanding Bike Stand Adjustable Height Two-Bike Storage Rack Heavy Duty for Bicycle Parking with 100lbs Weight Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0794VPYPY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jggRDbCF4MVJY

You can opt to not install the lower mount and only have the high mount in use.

u/White-milk · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

Got it here.

u/jerseymonkey · 1 pointr/bicycling

The Delta Cycle Michelangelo Gravity Stand Storage Rack which is highly recommended by TheSweetHome

My link is for a 4-bike version of the stand. They also offer a 2-bike stand for much cheaper.

u/Bike_Gasm · 1 pointr/MTB

Thanks! Lime green happens to be me my favorite color, and white, grey, black, and green is the color scheme I like the most. It was a coincidence that I found [green hooks](http://www
.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00D4BTJQI/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/183-6687671-5183240), but probably the deciding factor for why I bought them ;)

u/perrykjt · 1 pointr/bikewrench

I don't really know exactly what it's called, but it's pretty common in asia

I found this on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Ibera-Utility-Adjustable-Foldable-Mechanic/dp/B00G7ZO3GE/

mine mounts directly on the rear axle while this seems to be hooking on to the stays

u/Avaseal · 1 pointr/MTB

I was looking at this, but that solution may work if I have the height for it. The ceiling is not much more than 6' high.

u/dltc · 1 pointr/cycling

I am a huge fan of steady rack! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004N9BUEY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have six of them mounted in my garage, two of the fat bike versions and 4 regular. They swing left to right so you can mount your bike then swing it out of the way. Very easy on and off as well.

u/SierraDriftr · 1 pointr/bicycling

Yeah they are. These ones are cool as they swing out of the way but they’re expensive - Steadyrack Classic Rack - Wall-Mounted Bike Storage Solution https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004N9BUEY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_TZPyDb1P7FK1K

u/Shufflebuzz · 1 pointr/cycling

I have this stand and like it.

I also use a Bike Brake. You can just lean the bike against any fixed object and it's not going to roll away or fall over.

u/0ut5s1d3 · 1 pointr/MTB

My girlfriend uses something like this in her apartment http://amzn.to/2wLVjiR and has had really good luck with it. Holds 2 bikes no problem and keeps them off the ground.

u/_CorkTree_ · 1 pointr/cycling

There's nothing you can really get to allow you to fold up your pedals or bars, but the other commenter made a good suggestion about taking your front wheel off.

Personally, I use this freestanding rack. It has some pretty critical reviews, but after owning and using it, I feel like there's a lot of user error behind those reviews. It takes up as much horizontal space as the bike itself, but allows you to stack two of them, which saves a considerable amount of space of you have multiple bikes. A lot of the reviews say that it doesn't stand up or isn't stable, or that it needs to be leaning against or anchored to a wall to remain stable, but mine can stand up in the middle of the room on its own as long as there's a bike on it.

Other than this and the other suggestions, all I can think of is getting a folding bike and stashing it in a corner when you're not using it.

Oh, one more suggestion: if your bed frame (or any other piece of furniture) is tall enough, you can just slip your bike underneath, virtually eliminating any space it would take up.

u/HenryJonesJunior · 1 pointr/bicycling

Indeed. For apartments, where adding large holes for secure mounting to walls may not be an advisable option, gravity stands work great. I have some huge steel 2-bike one that I got at a local Performance Bike store (can't seem to find it on their website) and have been considering picking up a 4-bike one off Amazon to replace it.

u/oslandl · 1 pointr/AskPhotography

If you’re still looking, we use bike stands to hold ours. Something similar to this

Try one of those out on her. They're both really compact when the bike isn't on them, and neitehr looks that bad. I've got 2 of each and love them both.
