TheTentLab New improved Deuce(R) Ultralight Backpacking Potty Trowel - now in 3 sizes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BFHYNYG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lT1cBbSSWDRKT

I personally use the #1 .45 ounce trowel. You can use the small end to score a hole, then use the big end to actually dig.

We still use tiny ass foldable shovels nowadays (E-tool)... Yes it fucking kills your back to use. The best way to actually dig with it is to fold it into an L shape and lock it into place, using it more as a pick/scooper than a traditional shovel. However, it is a very effective improvised weapon. These are the exact ones we use-

Not that money, https://www.amazon.com/Military-Portable-Tactical-Traveling-Extension/dp/B06X6L53PG, is $19.99 instead of $82. A couple of little things in the more expensive one, but those are compromises that make it a worse shovel. For example, the flashlight, it makes the handle of the shovel weaker and is not a great light. Instead, you would be better served to buy a light like https://www.amazon.com/Prosvet-Cree-XML-Portable-Flashlight-Adjustable/dp/B019KMO79I and some 18650 batteries and put it in the bag with the cheaper shovel. Just search amazon for 18650 flashlight, or 26650 flashlight if you want extended battery life.

The shovel itself is decent. I have one for my jeep, I had a small snow shovel, but wanted something that was small and could be stowed, but gave me a decent shovel for fires, sand, or other needs. This seems to work well for that use, and stows in a vehicle well.

Just stay away from the higher priced ones with do-hickeys you really don't need in a shovel.

This the the one I carry in my car. I use it often to dig hole when camping. It is sturdy and the longer handle is super nice when digging any sort of larger hole. The magnesium piece to start fires is fragile of course so don't expect that to last.

US Military Original Issue E-Tool Entrenching Shovel with ACU OR MultiCam Carrying Case / Pouch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WJ8V12W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5S1PDb31SEBNT

Is what I've always seen, that's why I said handle must have been replaced. Even those with straight handles are just wood and no design...

This guy is giving some great advice, but given you're traveling with four people, don't be too spartan with the snacks. Going with four people means only 1-2 people have to carry tents/butane. This means you can, and IMO should, be willing to bring fun extra snacks (I like gummy bears and Hi-Chews) as well as spices/flavor for meals. And coffee! Of course what's essential is packing your backpacks with everything and giving a weight assessment as to what you think you can carry for however many days you're travelling. Given it's your first time, like the guy above me said, be conservative because you don't really know. But again, a four person group will inevitably be weight imbalanced and if you're all decently fit you can bring extra enjoyables.

And as to this guy's last point, because this is super important, BURY YOUR SHIT. Bring at least one spade like this to bury poo. It's the right thing to do.

>How would you prepare food while camping when bears are around? would you not do grilled meats and potatos?

So I actually only do backpacking but same premise for car camping. Preferably cook in one spot and then eat it in another. Cooking meat puts a ton of attractive aromas out.

So I'd recommend cooking and eating in different spots and then there's an item called a bear bag made by tons of brands and there's thousands of them on amazon. Basically it's either a bag or plastic drum that you tie a rope to and then a rock or weight at the other end. Then you throw the bag over a branch and the rock acts as a counterweight. Also use the bathroom decently far from where you're at and use cat-holes with a shovel or some digging tool.

Bear bag:

Tough one

This is an expensive one that is supposed to protect the food.

Cheap

This is a much cheaper alternative but won't stop a bear from eating your stuff. So if you're bringing extra food and storing it in the car then I'd say go with the cheaper as food amount won't be an issue.

Plastic bear bag:

Plastic

No bears should be able to get into this either.

Poop tool:

Trowel

Super light and easy to clean. This is backed by nearly every ultralight camper.

Props to you on the current gear list, you've done some good research. I noticed you didn't have sleeping bag on the list but you have those right?

Reddit is also split on firearms for bear safety. Personally I am on the pro side of that but will always use the spray first. Let me know if you'd like to learn about firearm safety with bears.

Disclaimer: I don't make any money off of these links, and it's mostly based on my personal, and close friends', experiences with them. I've been bush-crafting, camping, hiking, and hunting for 15 years now, not as a brag but just for frame of reference. I've used a lot of gear over that time.

The (I'll assume it's the player character) Player seems kinda off in body proportions: His arms are skinnier than his legs, his torso seems a bit too bulky and the Army Uniform and Armor isn't VeRy AcCuRaTe to real life Uniforms and Armor (I owned one of these Camo Uniforms a while ago so I can help you with references).

The Weapons could use better textures and the guns seem very... Boring? You could mix gun parts to create a new gun in order to train.

The shovel could use another Source as reference, This one should do the trick but there's also This one.

The backpack could come in different varieties, Gall seems like a good source since they have multiple Models. Could be the basic Backpack, Middle Tier Backpack and finally these two for the 'Army' Backpacks: Very big Backpack, Green, Other one or This one.

That drone seems Civilian drone, not the scouting one used by Police forces and rarely by the Army. The police used by the West Midland police force (UK) mention 3 UAVs or Drones: Yuneec Tornado H920 is the biggest one, Normal sized one Yuneec Tornado H520 and the Smallest DJI Mavic Pro (Will see if they look better than yours in a minute)

Overall: Pretty good modeling ( I can't do anything decent lol) but could use more originality.

Will definitely keep an eye out for "END"

I have a Gerber multi-tool Suspension GE22-41471. I like it but it's pretty heavy for its size and, as others have said, you don't need half the tools in the wilderness.

Go Outdoors have a selection. Might be cheaper on Amazon.

I have a folding saw which is light.

You could try a wire saw. I haven't tried one myself.

I find my folding trowel very useful.

Don't get this trowel - it's flimsy

I also have a bushcraft knife. I'm not sure it's legal to carry around (UK) all the time but I think it's ok if you're using it while camping etc. (better check if you do buy a knife).

Yeah, like https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Shovel-Entrenching-Emergency-Backpacking/dp/B01MUHWD0B

But you'd want a really strong handle so that it could work as a crowbar as well.

Maybe include plans for how to do cribbing: https://www.disastersurvivalskills.com/product/cribbing/ that link is out of stock, it's only included to demonstrate what I'm talking about with stacking up pieces of wood -- contact a CERT team or your local fire station to see an example in action.

Trencher Shovel:

Manufacturer's site for specs: https://www.crkt.com/trencher.html

Amazon link for a better price: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01M0G10O4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Mounting Pieces:

Quickfists: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000CQPANY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

T-Slot Nuts: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B009SWGLHW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Screws: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00IZFS0VI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You will need a Drill and a 3/8" or 1/2" drill bit. Drill out the stock hole in the bottom of the quickfist to make the hole larger, the screws will then fit through. Put the T-Nut in the bed-rail and slide it down to where you want it. Screw the Quickfist to the T-Nut and you get what you see above! Insert your tool of choice!

I keep one of the FiveJoy RS shovels in my car. The blade is bigger than most of the folding shovels and you can attach handle extensions which is important to me because I'm 6'4".
