I use this for travel https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07GXLFQHC/ref=dp_prsubs_1 It's a decent size and I like the separate pocket for brushes, it keeps the rest of the makeup cleaner. At Target Sonia Kashuk has a nice selection of different sizes, prints, and styles if you want something you can check out at the store.

Your rate and times are irrelevant for your first two weeks. After that it escalates on a weekly basis until you hit learning curve 5. AFAIK you’re supposed to be able to do 275 uph with takt time under 12 at the end of week three. Week 4 jumps up to 360 and takt time in 9s. Week 5 is when 400 and 8.5 takt or better matters for pickers in an AR FC. What really matter is your expected productivity percent. Basically that is the number you have to be over 90% of to avoid a write up after second week, and you need to have over 100 if you want to be assigned to secondary support roles.

As for soreness a few things can help. First and foremost get Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles, Burgandy insoles (the red ones) for your shoes. Your feet and subsequently the rest of your body will thank you. Get a pair of SB SOX Compression Knee Brace (I use a pair old of socks with the toes cut out) and use a Solimo (Amazon cheap brand) knee brace because together they will save your knees wear and tear. Also get the Mueller wrap around elbow braces, which will help save you a lot of pain and suffering now and years down the road. Get a lifting belt/brace/back support and use it every other shift. Staying hydrated isn’t enough as a picker. Get yourself a 32 oz Insulated Kleen Kanteen. Fill it one quarter to one third with ice and use a combination of Cytomax drink powder at two scoops to one scoop of Bodybuilding.com Signature BCAA and bring three premixed containers of powder mix in the right ratios.Rubbermaid makes small plastic containers that I use, so you can refill the kanteen at each break. I keep a spare mix container in a mesh bag with a cliff bar or an apple and some small hard candies, which I attach via carabiner to my water-bottle going in and out that during work is attached to fence directly above water bottle holder. This drink will keep you hydrated, fueled, maintain electrolytes, and provide amino acids to prevent excessive muscular breakdown. Make sure you eat a tons of protein at each meal, including packing healthy lunches with lots of protein and possibly even include a protein shake/smoothies in an insulated container for lunchtime. Nutrition is key to fast recovery from the intense physical MMA prep workout they put us through.

Don’t be afraid to take restroom breaks right smack in the middle of your quarters, seriously. With regards to pod gaps, tote conveyor jams, and other issues out of a picker’s control it is helpful to keep a small notebook to log those things down and show it to your PA/AM/OpsM to have your time adjusted for those issues, which then adjusts your expected productivity percentage.

Ideally you want to stay right around 95% productivity by the time week 4 ends and you’re transfer eligible. If you do too good, then greedy af bonus hungry AMs will do everything possible to keep you as a picker. One woman I know has been a picker at my FC for two years. She hits 600. UPH with TAKT times that are in the 3/s-5/s range no problem, and she has been stuck picking and not given secondary roles because she is just that good at the job.

Maybe something more like this that has dividers so your things don’t slide around so much?

I bought tin containers from target that were $3 each and some confetti filling that was about $2. I bought each Bridesmaid a makeup bag, nail polish, chapstick and bath bomb that all color coordinated with my wedding colors. I also bought Bridesmaid proposal cards from target that were about $1 each. It was about $20 or less for each girl in the end.

I’m in my second week of invisalign and here’s what I’ve ended up with in my little travel case...

  • Travel size toothbrush. I like the ones like this. Folding ones would work fine but these are flatter. I got mine at the drugstore.
  • Travel size toothpaste. My travel brush came with a small toothpaste.
  • Travel size mouthwash. I like this one in particular because it’s small and fairly flat. Surprisingly I haven’t had to refill it yet but will just use my regular full sized mouthwash for that when it’s time.
  • Individual flossers. I keep 3 in my bag at all times just in case.
  • Wisps. At first I didn’t see the need for these but there are times when I’m at a restaurant or just eat a quick snack at my desk at work and don’t feel like doing the whole routine. I keep 2-3 wisps in my bag and will just use one of those with some water or mouthwash until I get home or make my next restroom trip.
  • Chapstick is good to have but I don’t keep that in my pouch specifically... I always have a bunch scattered around in my car, purse, work bag, desk etc.
  • Wax may help but I opted for orajel. My first tray had a spot that didn’t lay flat against my teeth. Nail file wouldn’t have helped. My ortho said it was bc of the way they’re trying to torque the tooth. It dug a hole in my lip that turned into an ulcer. Tray two is a lot better and I’m fine now.
  • My ortho gave me a nail file. I don’t carry it with me and I haven’t had to use it yet.
  • Lastly, this is the set of pouches I ordered. The smallest one is the absolute perfect size for everything I listed above. I don’t have a huge purse so I wanted something that took up as little room as possible. This is great. The medium size fits everything plus an invisalign case if you feel the need to carry that with you too. Most of the time I’ll just put my trays in the small mesh pouch while I’m eating, or in my purse/pocket wrapped in a napkin.

    Hope that helps!

I have two of the slightly larger version of this case because I was primarily on the road for a while. I absolutely love it! It's super sturdy and has way more room than you'd think. Surprisingly good quality. It does NOT scream "I bought this for dirt cheap on Amazon." I think it's worth a try. You can always return it!

We're similar in age and she has the same interests as my best friend, so I'm sure I can come up with something. I know you said just rocks, but these cool handmade soaps with crystals in them are something I would want! There's even different varieties. Horror themed makeup bags with makeup inside, which could also be horror themed (or maybe a clutch?). I don't know if she has read any of the DC Icons series (the young adult novels), but there is a Batman one. I was originally going to say one of those vinyl clocks, but a batman themed one, then I saw that they wouldn't arrive until after Christmas so maybe an art print of a horror movie or batman? or maybe a cat dressed as batman? There's always Funko Pop! figures, which are cute until they're terrifying. I recommend the 8-Bit exclusive Freddy or Jason if she already has a collection, because she might not have those ones.

This bag from Amazon is really nice for travel! May not fit the BH palette, though, idk how big those are.

So the bottom flap compartment fits all of my chargers and dongles for my MacBook and iPad, I’ve actually got a
Bellroy Classic Pouch, Everyday kit, Leather and Woven Fabric (pens, Cables, Cosmetics, Personal Items) Mid Grey https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B1178BH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_rd1WBb05YJMTA
that I tuck into that pouch open so when I switch bags it’s easy to move everything at once.

The water bottle compartment in the top either carries my Swell bottle or its also a perfect fit for my Nintendo switch.

The side compartments fit all my pens etc but would also fit a small camera, mini drone, etc. They’re deceptively spacious.

In the main compartment I carry a 12” Retina MacBook (plenty of room for a 13” as well), my iPad, and kindle that all go in the elastic pouch that keeps them from touching the bottom of the bag, and then in the open space on the other side I carry one or two ARC Notebooks and 3-4 novels or moleskin sized journals.

I was worried the bag was a little small at first, but I don’t think I’d ever fill up the 25 unless I was adding at least a change of clothing to my bag. Fully packed the weight is about all I want to carry around all day anyway. Also, the bag is setup for a hydration bladder and you can buy one of those whistles that are built into the buckle so it’s just really versatile.

I use a flash palette that I bought on amazon for like $14 😂
It’s all oil based face paint but it is NOT eye safe.
I use NYX “epic black” creme eyeliner for the jet black sections and anything within a quarter inch of my eyes.
Also, for high contrast looks, don’t set your creams with powder— use Mehron setting spray instead and reapply twice to keep stuff from smudging. Mehron will keep that shit on, but will burn/irritate your skin a little if you use it over anything other than cake-face layers of paint.

I saw this quote on tiny Buddha.

Come up with something original.
