I used plasticware! I have zero regrets. I feel like they looked beautiful, and going that route saved us a lot of money. I did use glass drinkware, but we got them for about $1/glass, and preferred how they looked over plastic. Here are the listings for the styles of plasticware we used: dinner plates, salad plates, and cutlery.

These cups, maybe episodes of Fresh Prince or Saved By The Bell playing on a TV in the background, SNES emulator connected to a TV if possible...I'll try to edit with more later if I come up with anything else (if these are even interesting to you to begin with lol).

Wow! you have gotten a Load of recipes!! LOL I will throw a couple more in there too...

None of us really like cranberry sauce too much but with this recipe I get asked to make it every year now

https://www.copymethat.com/r/jFBfbXx/cinnamon-apple-cranberry-sauce-aaron-mcc/

this one is really different! you can make it pretty spicy or mild and flavorful

this is better than Waldorf salad. it has no mayo etc. Very nice change!

https://www.copymethat.com/r/zJC7OEe/cranberry-waldorf-salad-from-ar/

these are really good too! I love these! I make these every chance I get throughout the year. (tip: make extra butter and bring with) they will go nuts over it.

I also get asked to make this every year. in place of the pie as you can see in the picture I have switched them up to parfaits. they last longer and I am able to make this a day or two early. I put them in parfait cups with the crumbled graham cracker crust in the inserts. this will keep it crispy and dry. if you make the pie the bottom crust is shot and soggy 24 hours later.

These are the type I get

https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Parfait-Insert-3-piece-Dessert/dp/B01F5XK4ZM/

as you can see by the picture 1 recipe makes 7 (12oz.) parfait.

Here, $10 for 100. Or having your drink double-cupped should do it.

sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Nice of you to make something for him that is healthy and fresh! My husband was diagnosed with diabetes about 19 years ago. it is a balancing act for their meals. actually we should all eat that way... but we don't!!

I make this pie all the time. now If I were you I would get him some of those disposable parfait cups and you put the pie filling down into the cups and the graham cracker crust crumbled into the little cup on top. it limits the amount he can get and still allows a nice sweetie dessert.

See my post above about these! Instead of nametags! On your beers!!

Note, I am going to use this at the /r/DenverGardener Harvest meetup later next month (or early October, haven't decided yet) - regardless of what y'all think. ;)

We used china plates, real silverware, and mason jars (for water) for our dinner. We used these forks and these plates for cocktail hour. We used the plates as bread/salad plates during dinner and to serve dessert as well.

We also used these cups for our wine and specialty cocktail.

Bonus: we got these garbage bins that made it super easy for people to put something in recycling vs normal garbage. They also looked A LOT nicer than the white cardboard garbage, and were recyclable themselves.

All were a hit!

i'm striving for this as well. my wedding is more of a backyard bbq, so it may be a little different than a traditional wedding. we're opting for electronic invites (through paperless post), biodegradable plates/cups/utensils (i found a great deal at a yard sale. the women used to be an eco-wedding party planner!), green burlap table runners, second-hand dress from poshmark. no plans at the moment for favors, but if we decide, we'll opt for biodegradable take-home containers so people can bring home leftovers. best of luck!

Not like an Icee lid, just a raised lid like these. They get used on anything hot with whipped cream at Tim Hortons, gives you some extra room.

You can also buy bottles of barbecue, honey, and mustard in much higher quality than those packets at lower per-unit prices.

Not so much the sweet and sour sauce. Hard to find a better one of those for nugget dipping.

Then you just stick it in plastic. Disposable ones cost a little over $.05/ea, so that probably doesn't help you much, but reusable ones exist too.

u/DetroitHustlesHarder · 1 pointr/gardening

Makes total sense. Sometimes I just need someone to spell it out for me. :)

Do you have an amazon link to the kind of 8oz cups that you're talking about? Are you talking about these?

So do you use plugs to start your tomatoes at all? Or do you "direct sow" right into the coffee cups from the get-go?

u/blue-no-yellow · 1 pointr/partyplanning

Ahh yes forgot about all the people who would still be under 21. Totally makes sense. Ok here are random ideas, forgive all the links. I usually go crazy making a pinterest board with EVERY random idea I find and then I edit down.

You can make parfait/trifle cups using clear acrylic plastic cups or dessert cups like [these] (https://www.amazon.com/Embellish-Crystal-Plastic-Dessert-Tumblers/dp/B00ZPPHTIG/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1509547227&sr=8-9&keywords=individual+plastic+dessert+cups).

They look so pretty, are very easy to make and you can change the flavors to match any theme. If you use pre-made ingredients like cool whip, pudding and store bought cake/cookie/pie/brownie, it's very fast to put together! Serve them covered with saran wrap and a plastic spoon and you are good to go. Here is a yummy pecan pie trifle [recipe] (https://unskinnyboppy.com/2012/11/last-minute-easy-thanksgiving-dessert-pecan-pie-trifle/) and a Salted Caramel Cheesecake -No Bake trifle and a Pumpkin Gingerbread [Trifle] (http://hoosierhomemade.com/pumpkin-gingerbread-trifle/) for but you can do any Fall flavor you like!

Please update us and let us know what you decided to make!

Your rice cakes comment made me think of possibly the Keebler Ice Cream Cups. 3 carbs. Kind of similar consistency. Kind of. https://www.amazon.com/Keebler-Ice-Cream-Cups-24/dp/B00T2ZBE5O/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1538499312&sr=8-1&keywords=keebler+ice+cream+cups If that doesn't work, maybe some chia seed pudding? You could make it with almond milk so it's not a fat bomb, but would definitely be something in your stomach.
