Rosehip oil

Vanicream Lite instead of NMF It's more moisturizing, gentler, and cheaper.

Azaleic Acid

I am still using up my glycolic toner but will probably replace it with Pixi glow tonic.

I also tried Salicylic acid, HA, and Niacinamide from TO, but they just irritated me or broke me out, and I haven't tried replacing them yet. If I did, most of it is pretty easy to find a dupe for on Amazon. There is a master post of dupes here, for anyone interested.

Nail pens

Pure jojoba oil

I follow Simply Nailogical on youtube and she made a video on how to grow your nails long. That may or may not apply to you, but her tips are good for nail health in general. She recommends jojoba oil to put in the pens. They are refillable, though some people in the reviews can't seem to figure it out lol.

I keep one in my purse and one at my desk, and try to apply whenever I can remember. I brush the oil on my cuticles, the skin around my nails, along the sides of my nails (between the nail and the skin), and underneath my nails, because I 99% of the time have polish on lol. But when I've removed my polish, I apply to the whole nail too.

Hope this helps!

I don't think they make rose hip essential oil. When I type it in on amazon, it just comes up with the regular oils.

Btw, if anyone wants to try rose hip oil, the co2 extraction method is supposed to be better than cold pressed. That means longer shelf life and supposedly more of the nutritive benefits stay in the oil vs the cold pressed method. I use Pai. The differences I notice in the co2 vs cold pressed are the co2 extracted is thicker, bright orange, smells a lot better. I only need four drops and don't use it everyday so shelf life is important to me. The cold pressed I bought went rancid within a few months and I had over half the bottle left. :(

Pure Tamanu oil! I got it from a seller on amazon that sells various certified USDA organic oils. You only need two small drops. I got the recommendation from the YouTuber Liah Yoo who does a lot of well researched videos on ingredients and products for the skin. I've done a lot of research on redness and rosacea and the best oils for it. Sea Buckthorn keeps coming up and I'm about to buy this one from Leven Rose. It has rave reviews on Amazon and on Etsy.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DYLJRIW

The Fresh one looks great too, but it's soooo expensive for just an oil. Right now I use TO squalane for hydration and I love it but definitely want to start targeting my redness more. Hope this helped!!!

From left to right:
TonyMoly MasterLAB Intensive Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask - $2.80
I tried some really really cheapie HA masks and it made my face feel amazing so I definitely wanted to grab some nicer ones and see if there was a difference. I'm definitely considering adding HA itself into my routine.

TonyMoly I'm REAL Red Wine Mask Sheet Pore Care - $2.62
Oh, my pores and I, the endless struggle. I'll always look for something to subdue you.

Botanics Hydration Burst Hydrating Day Cream - 15.99
I'm currently ONLY doing a PM routine, with facial oils, but I'd like to start doing a morning routine and was looking for a little faster absorption.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater (2oz) - $5
Because my only current moisturizers are oil based, and I'm hoping to add HA in some form or fashion to my routine, I wanted something to help the HA from the masks and whatever future products I added (Currently have TO Mandelic Acid 10% with HA, waiting to add it into the routine) really be effective.

Botanics Organic Softening Cleanser - $10.99
Oh boy am I excited about this, and this is the kind of product I went in looking for. I started my skincare journey using the Pixi Double Cleanse which is a fantastic product my skin loved...except they run out fast and the two products don't run out at the same rate. I'd have happily bought the cream cleanser if they sold it separately, which they don't, so I was asking for a couple of days in the daily help thread for any kind of similar product. The only suggestion was La Roche-Posay Toleriane Gentle Hydrating Cleanser which I got...which then dried out my face and wrecked my moisture barrier so bad it went from drinking in several layers of oil in an hour, to being unable to absorb one in 5. I'm still working on the backlash from that but I am well and truly out of the Pixi now so I had to find a reaplcement cleanser today. I'm really hoping this will do the trick, and I will, of course, report back. I've already tested the PH and it looks to be a solid 5.5.

All from Ulta, in total: $48.56

My skin: Pores galore. Oily when untouched, but dehydrated and dries at the mere mention of a foaming cleanser. Very sensitive to drying but ok with fragrances.
My current routine:
Banila Clean It Zero Sherbert Cleanser
(Second Cleanser was Pixi Double Cleanse Cream, replacing tonight with Botanics Organic Softening Cleanser)
Pixi Glow Tonic (When it's safe to add, will be replaced with The Ordinary 10% Mandelic Acid + HA)
The Ordinary 100% Plant Derived Squalane
[The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil]
Once a week: Aztec Secret + Braggs ACV clay mask (skipped last week due to compromised moisture barrier)

I would like to note - I am especially interested to hear from anyone who uses more natural brands, Burts Bees, Botanics, Shea Moisture, etc. I find the less crazy chemicals and the more natural stuff is easier to pinpoint when my face eventually freaks out.

If you're okay with Hada Labo despite them not being CF, you might like their Oil Jelly as a replacement for your CeraVe Healing Ointment. It's like vaesline but with hyaluronic acid. I just picked some up yesterday and it seems really nice.

u/Child_of_Inara · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Not sure if this is the right place topost this, but Goodal Waterest Lasting Oil is currently $15.00 on Amazon.

u/crushabitlilbitt · 3 pointsr/calmhands

I order everything on Amazon lol.

argan oil

jojoba oil

gloves I try to force myself to wear when I'm out and about

good cuticle oil pen

I don't know if this is "right" but I trim the dead skin when I get out of the shower (because I find it getting caught on things like my animals or clothes like when the skin gets stuck in the fibers omg kill me). I also file the dry/callused skin to avoid the same.

You are 100% not alone and we're all here for you <3 One day at a time and it's never too late in the day to start.

I've read over and over again the Gabriella Union (who has lovely skin) absolutely swears by Camellia Oil. Google her name and oil and she repeats it over and over again.

She likes a specific brand developed by her favorite makeup artist, but I bought a 15mL bottle of 100% Organic Japanese Cameilla Oil from Botanical Beauty from Amazon for $10.

I apply it after serums but before moisturizing and it does seems to give me a great glow and seems to either even out my skin tone or tone down redness, the following morning.

u/glassarr0w · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I've used this one and liked it a lot :)

u/thinkerjuice · 2 pointsr/curlyhair

I need jojoba oil for my hair. I found this one which is currently unavailable, but before it becomes unavailable, I wanna know are there any other better ones out there?

I live in Ontario,Canada if that's matters

I use this dermastamp : https://www.amazon.com/Beauty-Cosmetics-Tips-Stamp-Rejuvenation/dp/B07K2WLJTN/ref=sr_1_11_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1550592200&sr=8-11&keywords=dermastamp

And I still use minoxidil once a day (I never used it more than once a day)

u/mixtapelovesongs · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Rose hip! It's my go to for very dry and sensitive skin. The deeper the orange hue of the oil, the better it is.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil - Premium CO2 Extracts, Certified Organic, 30ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004SUH21I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9wo2xbJEBJ3AN

u/meg0neurotHe11 · 2 pointsr/abdiscussion

gah its soooo good right?! i love it but that teeny 10ml bottle is $15 CDN where i am. I am currently using Leven Rose Sea buckthorn oil found on amazon here which was cheaper, at $20 CDN for 30 ml. It is a great oil, lighter in color and less heavy than the Sibu and fragrance free/unrefined/cold pressed, but for whatever reaosn i find the Sibu just works better for my dry skin. I don't know if it's a mental thing because Sibu was the one i tried and fell in love with first.

It seems like you’re not getting enough moisture in your routine, you should try incorporating an oil into your routine. Some carriers that work really well are rosehip, jojoba, pumpkin seed, some people even like argan or castor oil (although these are very heavy and I wouldn’t recommend starting with these). Simple carrier oils are generally pretty cheap too, I got this rosehip oil from Amazon for $13 (Rosehip Seed Oil by Kate Blanc. USDA Certified Organic, 100% Pure, Cold Pressed, Unrefined. Reduce Acne Scars. Essential Oil for Face, Nails, Hair, Skin. Therapeutic AAA+ Grade (1 oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N3340K7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Dx5WCb5ZFAHAK). You can also use a facial oil blend from a good brand, I like Herbivore’s Phoenix and Orchid oil (Herbivore Botanicals - Mini Facial Oil Trio https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KCPSNPK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Bs5WCbHDJW4H9) and I super love Sunday Riley’s Juno oil (Sunday Riley Juno JUNO Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil, 1.18 Fl Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HW1P8SE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yt5WCbFDTXK83). These are pretty pricey options but since you only need to mix a few drops in with your moisturizer, they last a long time.

But yeah, it definitely sounds like incorporating an oil into your routine would help balance your moisture a bit more. I hope this all helps!

Side note -
do you know the diference between something like this
and something like this, aside from the price?

Did you oil cleanse every night with the “Simple” brand oil cleanser? Is it this one? If so what are your thoughts on it?

I really need some advice on the Vitamin C Oil I've been putting under my eyes.

So, I just turned 25 and about 4 weeks ago I noticed two fine lines branching out from the inner corner of my eye and under. (YAY! My first signs of aging!) Naturally I've become a little obsessive, it seems I've gone from concentrating on Acne to now Anti-aging. When does it end?

I started putting this Vitamin C Oil by dolled up under my eyes every night for 4 weeks now and I bought it because I really liked the ingredients. It was also convenient because I found it at an outlet store.

Ingredients: Refined Coco Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Brassica Napus Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit) Seed Oil, Rincinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Seed Oil, Squalane, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Rosemary (Rosamrinus Officinalis) Leaf Extract, Beta-Carotene

I really just need to know if I'm doing the right thing? Is there a better product out there?

I also use Cosrx sunscreen EVERYDAY.

Also in my routine:

DE framboos night serum

DE B-Hydra (Safe for around my eyes?)

Cerave PM Moisturizer

This facial oil was my all time favorite amazon find. I had to quit purchasing because for some reason it became harder and harder to get. The price got raised and they even took it off Prime.

I'm just wanting to make sure that I get a pure product from a reputable brand. I was looking at "cold-pressed organic rosehip oil" from other brands, and one of them appeared to be dyed pink in some of the reviews. Seemed pretty sketch, so I thought check here.
This one

u/_grottesca · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I just bought this rosehip seed oil a few days ago after realizing my beloved grapeseed is drying me out, only to find out that cold pressed rosehip seed oil is apparently very suceptible to oxidation :(

Is there anything I can do to prevent that in terms of how I store it, etc? I really don't want to waste it, this was not a small expense for me lol.

And don't worry, I'm not putting those essential oils on my face lol they just happen to come with the bottle I chose.

I'd say the Kukui, but in general I think Argan is best for softening hair. You can get some in the same kind of bottle from the same brand, ogx, if you like what you have there. Also you could get some better, pure, oil. Just make sure it's in a dark container.
