I've been using Rail-Zip since I was a kid and it works extremely well for both rails and wheels. As far as I know it's just automotive brake fluid, but I'm not completely certain. Also give this a read.

Zap CA is the best glue I've found so far. Really runny so a single drop will wick its way up and down the wire. Clean to use and easy to remove too with just a utility knife if you don't have an acetone tube handy.

This shit. I have a few tubes and I've heard it's possible to get high off of sniffing it, but I'd rather use it for its intended purpose.

Slo-zap glue gives me my best results when gluing heavy things together or attaching people to bases. It worked for all 125 members of my green tide!

you could seal it with silicone, but i would suggest using something stronger.

I would personally fuse the crack shut first with something like this but of course don't use it for a week or so and clean it quite well after sealing the crack shut.

(I am not an expert though, I have glued and fused a lot of plastics together in the past)

They should have it at any place that sells plastic model kits, though that is a shrinking market these days so it may be down to a hobby store or just ordering online at this point.

This is the stuff, though I only paid 2$ or so at a local store.

I used to create something like this as a kid using zap glue and spraying way too much zip kicker on it. It comes out pure white like styrofoam. Be careful because it is exothermic. Gave myself quite a burn once doing it. Not a scientist and not sure exactly how safe it is. The volume will also be way less than a can of Great Stuff, but maybe an idea?
