Thank you! I appreciate it.

The bonsai tree I ended up clipping the bottom, sanding it flat, and drilling a screw through the bottom of the box to hold it in place. Then used some furniture feet to pad the bottom where the screw doesn’t scrape.

Queen of office pranks right here!

Pink is the new black!

  • Make a canopy of Pink Tulle strips hanging from the ceiling of his des, so he has to sit under a waterfall of rose.

  • This pink mouse is really cheap!

  • Make him don this pink tutu when he walks near his desk.

  • Slip this old lady looking pink cardigan over the back of his chair, or pick one up at goodwill.

  • Add this pink heart-shaped post-it holder for style.

  • Organize all his pens/pencils/papers with tis pink paper stacker and these pink baskets

  • Add this ddesk mat, or just use a nice piece of thick pink cardboard, under his keyboard/wrist area.

  • This pink desk chair is only $40 bucks, prime eligible, so if you were going to get one big-ticket item, this should be it!

  • Here's an $11.40 pink heyboard

I could do this all day. PLEASE post photos when you're done with this prank!

I've got the exact same box in my office. It's missing some of those tiny nails, so it's barley hanging in there. This is what I found: https://www.amazon.com/Carver-CVRCW07256-Stacking-Supports/dp/B00CRM3OKC

Reddit enchantment suite. Leather Tray.

Had a similar situation.

This worked out nicely and isn’t visible unless you look directly under the desk.

Good luck

u/_Flesheater_ · 2 pointsr/satanism

what a lot of those guys do is buy these baskets that you can attatch discreetly to the back of a desk/table and you can just put all of them in the basket. Something like this -
https://www.amazon.com/Under-Desk-Cable-Management-Tray/dp/B07HMXBSLW?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-iphone-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B07HMXBSLW

Or just tuck them behind that table. Its nit-picky, but it'll make your spot look clean af

I store mine in vertical mesh letter holders Granted, these are on a counter top, but could easily be mounted to a wall if needed. I have about 5 total and store my pallets vertically to maximize space (2 per slot)

u/speckledlemon · 2 pointsr/chemistry

Useful things? My dual-monitor desktop with a fancy keyboard, a bottomless coffee cup, my colored pens and fancy notebooks, plenty of scratch paper. Not so useful things? An aloe plant, a bowling pin, and a sign of my sports fandom.

Actually, something that's very handy is a paper organization system. I have one of these to hold random desk papers, plus a small filing cabinet. I like having a tidy desk. Also, even the cheapest document holder for reading things while using the computer.

u/Paul_Swanson · 2 pointsr/computertechs

Rule #1: Label everything.

Rule #2: If it doesn't have a designated area, it's just going to end up in a disorganized pile. Therefore...

u/distritopeq · 2 pointsr/Teachers

I have set up 5 trays (like these) and labeled them each Monday - Friday on a bookshelf. I put all of my copies for the next week.

I also have a set of 3 trays: To be graded, to be entered (graded but not logged online gradebook), to be returned.

  • So many pencils. Pencils for days.
  • A high-quality electric pencil sharpener? I've never been in an elementary school classroom that didn't have those shitty metal hand-cranked pencil-eaters that pass for pencil sharpeners. You're going to need a good sharpener instead.
  • Loose leaf. (Maybe. I was an intervention specialist at a school that provided lined paper, but then when I got my job at the high school, they didn't provide it. When I'm at thrift stores or garage sales and spot unopened packages of lined paper, I grab those faster than anything.)
  • Letters for bulletin boards. You might have a die-cut machine in your school, but why gamble?
  • Maybe a desk drawer organizer? I'll be honest: mine doesn't actually help all that much, but I'm kind of a human mess anyway so that could be the problem.
  • Something to organize papers, like this or this or this. (Or some combination of all of them.)
  • 3M Command Hooks.
  • Label-making materials, depending on your vision for your classroom's decor.
  • Sharpies.
  • Masking tape.
  • A few giant pads of paper for making anchor charts and signs and just who knows what else. I think 3M probably makes some.

Like I said, when I worked in an elementary school, we had this lovely room in the office that was full of school supplies and other things that teachers had hauled out of their classrooms because they didn't want anymore. There were binders, pencil holders, huge collections of pens and markers and colored pencils, compasses, folders, notepads, notebooks, scissors, index cards, and just...everything. It was like a dream. Make sure to ask at your new school whether they have anything like that.
u/R2zoo · 1 pointr/fountainpens

No, more so a small tray, rectangular in shape. Just large enough to hold a few pens. Something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YEOLR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_BM92xbH7RXJRV

I bought one to keep my EasyStore externals from being tipped over.

u/Derpahontas · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Teacher, leave them kids alone!

I'm in school and I have two kids. I'm not even working and I barely have time for sleep. Jeez, you're some kind of saint for doing all that plus work!

I highly recommend getting stackable letter trays for each of your subjects and one for important papers in general. They really help me stay organized, especially when I'm studying or doing homework! :) I even got some to organize my mail in. That's how much I love them :P

Good luck in school! You'll do great! :)

What are you going for?!

u/seesaw242 · 1 pointr/sysadmin

We always deployed with a new bag to keep the laptop safe and all the adapters/cables and a mouse organized.

In the lab we used these to stage/store systems being setup.

We tried something like this but found some of our laptops (Toughbook CF-52's) wouldn't fit so the open ones worked better for giant boat-sized laptops as well as more standard sizes.

u/i_am_not_sam · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I use this sleeve type thing and 2 of these under table trays to hold strips and to route the cables. Didn't take too long for me and everything looks super clean.

u/misnamed · 1 pointr/InteriorDesign

Good question! Wall is somewhere between super-light brown and off-white - you wouldn't know it wasn't white without white next to it. The bookcase does look remarkably like that pic, though feels darker/redder in person (or perhaps my version of it simply is) - picked it up on clearance scratch/dent sale and love the heck out of it.

I agree with green - definitely the most complimentary. Thought about expanding on it with (maybe) some red, orange or yellow. Also considered the possibility that the gray would 'play off of' the steel in some sense, but am not sure. I'm really terrible at picking colors for some reason, despite having gone to design school :/

My plan is to do a combination of boxes and magazine files and letter trays so maybe not go all one color. Since I'm likely to end up with 6 to 10 or maybe more items (on the bookcase and my also-walnut desk), I'm tempted to branch out, with green as the base (most common) but a few other highlights. Though maybe all the same would be OK too - I just like some of the effects of mixing a few colors together (of course, theirs notably don't mix cools with warms, for instance)

Thanks so much for your first response - I completely agree. If you're game to give me more feedback, I'm all ears and very grateful in advance :)

u/Excrucibo · 1 pointr/sousvide

Fellow newbie here, but I've read reviews for months and spent hours researching the best. I also lurk on /r/sousvide nearly daily. Despite me never having used one, I feel pretty informed on the subject.

I'm heavily leaning toward Anova, and the One, specifically. I like the attachment clamp, the removable plug (for storing), the higher wattage than the Precision, and don't mind the lack of bluetooth. I have an Android, and while I fully expect them to release an app soon, I'm not super interested in the feature. All of that is worth the $20 difference to me.
I don't like the clip on the Sansaire as much and prefer the metal body of the Anova.

As for accessories, I haven't done nearly as much research. The Cambro box seems to be a front-runner, but I'm concerned about insulation so I might try a cooler or something. A lid is also good, but you can get by with cling wrap. ChefSteps uses a polypropylene ball 'blanket', which looks pretty slick. Made by PolyScience, also costs $$. You can probably find them cheaper.
You might also want something to hold the bags steady underwater, and some people use file holders like you'd see on an office desk to keep them vertical and stable. Kinda like this.

u/FatCatJames80 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I use this under desk mount with cable sleeves. It was necessary for me to prevent the cables from becoming cat hair traps.

u/enteringxghost · 1 pointr/RandomActsofMakeup

Hey! I might have a solution for your palettes: File and letter organizers like this and this. I use one similar to the first one for my large palettes (Mega Pro 1 and 2, Vice 4, A Few of My Favorite Things, etcetera) and I'm currently on the hunt for a CLEAR letter organizer to put my baby palettes in (Sugar Pop, Bon Bons, Naked 3, etcetera). They work great and are cheap if you hunt around a bit at Target and the like! :)

u/DoomRyGuy · 1 pointr/DeskCableManagement

If you want the 'I dont want to see any hanging wires look', you might get good results if you mount the power strip beneath your desk. Since it seems rather large it may be heavy. You can either screw it into your desk or you could try heavy duty Velcro Strips. There are also under desk trays and baskets you can use to just hold everything.

If you dont mind some wires showing, you can try sleeves for the cables and use a cable box for the power strip.
