Burlesque performer here!

Like another poster said, I'd recommend covering the nipples with something more nipple friendly than just tape. You can get nipple petals at Walmart, drugstores, online - tons of places! As far as actually taping the dress down, I'd go with a strong, double sided tape like Topstick or some wig tape (I prefer single pieces to rolls, personally). You can get wig tape/Topstick and petals at most beauty supply stores.

I have used both Topstick and wigtape for my wigs AND pasties for years and never had one slip off. Even after hours of go go dancing, everything was still firmly affixed.

I'd also contour around and between the boobs. Because they deserve to look as glorious as possible!

u/MelancholyBeet · 22 pointsr/askwomenadvice

I've used something like this for a couple years now to great effect.

https://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Pasties-Adhesive-Reusable-MUQU/dp/B073TR3SS4/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=pasties&qid=1567138655&s=gateway&sr=8-8&x=0&y=0

They have a little indentation on the inside to accommodate a perky nip. Under a bra they are virtually invisible.

Fuck the patriarchy.

u/rebinator · 13 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I also have narrow sloping shoulders. I use these or these with my bras. They don’t pull in as much as a racerback and don’t stress my neck. Easier than trying to find bras that fit with straps that aren’t too wide.

u/jwood714 · 8 pointsr/weddingplanning

I barely noticed the ripple, so I doubt others will. I understand how annoying that can be though. Perhaps some steaming could help? As for the bust, I suggest body tape to hold everything in place. Strapless dresses have a tendency to not want to hug the bust line. I got this tape and it holds excellently.

u/BigTimeButtSlut · 7 pointsr/sissyhypno

I actually have 3 sets
these ones which are small 36 B/C cups that I’ll wear out to a club when my wife and I are feeling frisky. Perky and stay in place real nice.

these ones that are about a 38D are great for dressing up and letting men fuck you real good! My wife loves watching men fuck me hard while dressed up in these. A bit too big to really enjoy at a club though.

and these monsters I have just for myself. They are about a 40D. I’ve been fucked in these before, but it’s really a lot of work. Mostly, these are for sissy hypno bimbo time. I LOVE dressing up in these, getting blazed on some pot in the garage and cranking up some sissy hypno in the garage while real men fuck my wife upstairs. I love hearing men grunt and my wife moan while all bimbo’d out. Sometimes men will join me for a bowl or two, compliment my wife’s pussy, and let me know how often they cum in her.

u/spacenb · 7 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Have you checked your size using our calculator? Just asking because while it is definitely possible that the right bra size causes your straps to fall down due to slopping shoulders or particularly narrow shoulders, it is in fact pretty uncommon and tends to be caused by fit issues. It’s common for people not to realize that they could use a smaller band size because wearing the wrong cup size or cup shape can also cause the right band size to feel too tight... Some cup size and shape issues can also cause straps to fall down. It’s worth just double-checking to make sure, because unless you have a particular frame type, it is unlikely that all of your bras’ straps fall down without the fit being at least partly to blame.

I have 2 bras with wider set straps that tend to fall down, personally I really like these holders because they pull much less in than racerback clips while still assuring a steady hold, which means they don’t affect cup shape as much as clips.

u/noffsferatu · 6 pointsr/weddingplanning

Would something like this work?

u/stagehog81 · 6 pointsr/asktransgender

If you can't find the cup size you need available with the band size that fits you can try buying the cup size you need in the largest band size that it comes in and use a bra extender to get it to fit.

u/textibles · 6 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Has anyone had any luck with bra strap converter clips or straps?

u/hurrrrrmione · 6 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Yep, you're in the right place! :)

First thing I want to say is I recommend checking your size with us. We have instructions on how to measure yourself here. This is something I mention to basically everyone who comes through here, but I think it's especially important for brides because your breasts will look their best, get the most lift and support, and be the most comfortable in a well-fitting bra.

It looks like a low-back converter (example) might be an option to consider. That would allow you to wear a regular bra and not have to worry about finding something with a low back. They can compromise fit and support, however, so if you're interested in going this route make sure you try the bra on with the converter ahead of time.

Check our special event guide and see if there's options for you on there. All the size ranges are in UK sizing unless otherwise noted. There are size conversion charts you can reference here

If you find a dress that works with a strapless bra, there are a number that are available, depending on your shape (projected, shallow, wide, narrow, etc). If you aren't sure of your shape, you can check our our beginner's guide. A strapless bra will be pretty uncomfortable if it's not the right shape and size, so while you're checking our our beginner's guide, you should measure yourself to double check your size. Some common strapless bras I know of are the Curvy Kate Luxe, Cleo Neve Strapless, Freya Deco Strapless, Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless.

If you need a backless bra, you can use [a low back converter] (http://www.amazon.com/Fashion-Forms-Womens-Adjustable-Converter/dp/B007H52HKC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456804397&sr=8-1&keywords=low+back+bra+converter) which can take a regular bra and turn it into a low back bra.

For a lace back dress, you could have a seamstress add a nude panel behind the lace if you can't get a low back converter to go low enough. Unfortunately that isn't a solution outside of having the dress altered, but it is less drastic than your last possibility, which is having a comfortable bra sewn into your dress.

Here's our "Special Events" Guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/special_events

u/stormy381 · 5 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I do think it's possible to have a properly fitting bra that can be rotated (with a bit of effort, perhaps), around the body. Depends on the person and their comfort.

I think it's an important distinction that a nice snug band is necessary for support but I don't think that's a rule of thumb. I do think a 36 band is going to be way too big and not offer enough support.

My thoughts, /u/through_her_skull is to get her a bra extender (example linked). It may be that she needs to get accustomed to a tighter band or that the bras need a 'breaking-in' period. Either way, a bra extender will help and also allow for something like a 'half size' since you can move the hooks more incrementally between a 34 and a 36.

One last question: She is hooking her bras on the loosest hooks, correct?

u/evespeach · 5 pointsr/ABraThatFits

There are clips you can buy to convert your regular bra into a racerback. Something like clip, but I can't recommend any. Alternatively you can buy a bra with a J-hook. Mine

u/sitta-pusilla · 5 pointsr/crossdressing
u/fontgoddess68 · 4 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I have some of these clips. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012XFR25U/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687622&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B005HTB5L2&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0GBRR73FNSZK1DHEQNK3
They work OK if your bra straps are long enough. They are nice because you can put them exactly where you need them. Sometimes j-hooks are too high up for me.

u/Lanilegend · 4 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

Have you ever tried a lowback bra? Amazon has some pretty neat ones I'll link below. As for shoes how about some strappy sandal kitten heels or flat sandals? I'll link you a couple pairs I have that are simple and cute

Hi again! It sounds like you have the non-elasticised extenders. Here are ones with elastic and here is the kind that are not elasticised. The ones with elastic of course have more stretch, and they change the fit/feel of your band more (although still reversible, of course), whereas the non-elastic ones are just like adding extra hooks to your band; the band will feel a bit looser but it's closer to simulating a larger size band. It's one way to get an "in-between" band size; the other being to buy the larger band and do it up on tighter hooks. It does alter where the straps sit on your shoulders a little; some find this uncomfortable and others don't notice. But if you don't like it, you just take it off.

Wide wires refers to the placement of them; or more precisely how wide apart the wires are in the cups. So if you measure on the inside of the cup (with the bra off, of course) across the widest part of the cup from one inner edge of the wire channel to the other, that's the wire width, or cup width as it may be called. Measuring instructions here. Elomi and its sister company Goddess have pretty much the widest-set wires of any bras, though some other companies have the wide wires/cups as well.

I hear you about the center-pull straps as I prefer them myself, but they're hard to get. Elomi and Goddess do them, and so does a company called Fantasie in some of their bras, but I'm hesitant to recommend them because they don't seem to give enough support for the larger bust. I don't know that Goddess has anything better to offer you than Elomi. Their Keira bra (my "namesake") is similar in fit to Caitlyn but not identical. Keira has clones; Kayla and Adelaide. It's a bit of a shallower fit. Then again, if you're experimenting with going up in cup size in Caitlyn, then the comparable cup size in Keira would give you something just a little different to compare. Then they have a couple of bras called Clara and Alice that come up higher in the chest piece, but it's extra fabric, not a higher gore. They too fit a little differently. Goddess uses US cup sizes though, so an Elomi H cup is Goddess K cup, HH = L, and so forth up to Goddess N cup in some cases which is equivalent of JJ cup UK.

u/voice_in_the_woods · 3 pointsr/MyPeopleNeedMe

From the appearance of the weight of it falling it may have even been a silicone adhesive pad like this.

u/SmokeSerpent · 3 pointsr/TransyTalk

I got Vollence. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HJ1PJDX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I like them but there are two things I would say about them that are slightly negative. The A-cup style I got, when on me and measured turned out to be nearly Cs even on my 44 inch chest, and the issues with them being the self-adhesive style I discussed above. Next pair I get I will prolly use a kind with adhesive to apply to them.

u/zaralynda · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

my experience with those adapters is that the staps need to be really long because the adapter puts the straps almost touching. I usually wear my straps on the tightest adjustment and if the straps are only partially adjustable, I cant make them long enough to use this adapter.

This type worked much better for me because it doesnt pull the straps so tight. RAZOR Bra Strap Clips Holder Women’s Beige, Black, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E5TWQUI/

u/bleuwillow · 2 pointsr/feminisms

I bought these a year ago, and they're still as good as they day I got them (I use them almost every day). They don't have self-adhesive, I stick them on by wetting them. If you're wearing very loose shirts, they might fall off, but I've only experienced that once or twice.

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/actuallesbians

Have you tried an extender? They're pretty great if you can't find a band size large enough.

u/celosia89 · 2 pointsr/loseit

Thrift/Consignment shops and alterations are great options.

I've found that I'm not dropping sizes yet, but the way clothes fit is changing is ways I don't like so I'm starting to find ways to make it work.

  • Layering - a sweater or jacket can cover ill-fitting tops to some degree
  • Shirt/Dress clips - these can help give a waist on tops or dresses that are getting big
  • Fashion Tape - for when things pull and gap in weird ways
  • Pants/skirt clips - to tighten a too big or gaping waist band (haven't used this one yet)
u/crazymusicalgenius96 · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

There are different kinds of extenders. You can get non-stretchy ones with multiple sets of eyes, that way you have more control over how much longer the band will be. You might just need one extra hook while you're breaking in the bra. Here's a link to some on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Maidenform-Womens-Hook-Bra-Extender/dp/B0083QLOOO/ref=cts_ap_3_fbt

u/Heyyyitsjess · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Get one of these!

You hook it on to your bra straps but then wrap it around your body for support and it crosses lower down on your back.

u/annoyingbranerd · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Elomi Kiki is supposed to have the straps more inward than other Elomi plunges. Have you tried this one?

Since you cannot use the racerback clips, consider a bra strap holder.

With something like this work? You’ll be able to convert all your bras to racer back. Probably.

u/luftballoons · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I've used these type of adhesives before. They aren't great and if you sweat at all they start coming undone, but they do cover the nip and give you a little lift. Since you have a smaller volume than me, they might work better for you.

What is the bra function you're looking for? Nipple coverage, lift, shaping, stabilization/support? If you're fairly self supporting, you could just use pasties for nipple coverage.

u/aboobaccount · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

I just tried with two cotton makeup pads: No wrinkling anymore. Problem solved!

You are awesome!

I don't know if something like this would already be too big, but I am going to try it out as well:

https://www.amazon.com/TopBine-Pairs-Pads-Inserts-Beige/dp/B01ERB557A/ref=lp_2364770011_1_7?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1496732643&sr=1-7&nodeID=2364770011&psd=1

u/BecomingJess · 2 pointsr/MtF

I wore it without the pads while I was still stealth at work; it just made me feel better knowing it was there, even if there was nothing visible externally. After I came out I put the pads back in, and actually doubled them up (since the pads are meant to enhance something I didn't have). Even though I'm not on E yet, the Spiro has had a "side effect" (yes please!) of promoting some small breast growth, so I've taken the second set of pads out to maintain approximately the same size. If E makes them grow much more, I might be taking the other pads out too.

Point is, with removable pads you have more options :)

FYI you can buy extra pads on Amazon, they come in all shapes and sizes... great if you want to double up without sacrificing the pads from half your bras to stuff the other half! I have a set similar to these -- I like the sewn edges, they last longer... and look for machine washable, it can get sweaty in there in the summer, and stinky pads are no good!

u/Genevieve_Vavance · 1 pointr/crossdressing

Okay, so if I went with these, which say 44C.. I could just go out and buy a 44C bra and put them in and have a C cup? The next size up are these and they say 44G, which I think is too large.

I'm fat and large-framed so I think big breasts would be good for my body shape, but I don't want huuuge gigantic breasts because I don't want to encourage people playing with them... I'm kinda self conscious about people playing with my breasts when I know they're fake. I think a C cup at minimum would be best, maybe D or DD better, but that company doesn't have 44D's.

My family members have C cups. One got DD or DDD's and I think they're too large because she's quite skinny. Maybe D's would look great on me because I am overweight/tall/large-framed.

It's a scary thing picking out breast forms because they're $100+ and probably not returnable. Could be a $100 mistake!

u/thermtheworm · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

Get the band-size closest + bra extenders

u/biiumers · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

Some bra bands need to be broken in to feel comfortable. I would suggest wearing a bra extender for awhile, and slowly increasing the length of time you wear the bra.

u/castikat · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

If you use one of these on the front and another on the back, you can wear a regular bra. Just make sure the band is firm and supportive and you loosen up the straps before clipping.

u/DoraTrix · 1 pointr/asktransgender

Well, I'm 6'0", so they'd be even bigger on you, but dunno what your preference is? I'll go check the details, I want to say they were 1000 or 1200 cc?

Edit: These are they: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ENVOUIO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's grams, not cc, 2400g. Which may have been the issue, I thought it was 1200 each, but it was actually 2400 each?

Hey there :) Wife uses these. She gets the big ones because she, uh, likes to be "in your face" with them, heh. Unfortunately they do wear out eventually, but they've lasted a bit longer than her last set.

u/nekkyo · 1 pointr/HerOneBag

I sort of found the right bra. I got the Calvin Klein Lightly Lined Demi. It's not quite a pushup, and the padding is fairly thin. You can see it's a foamy translucent material. You can certainly tell if I'm cold while I'm wearing it if I don't wear a thicker top. I first tried wearing it with Dimrs underneath, but found that to be very uncomfortable. The bra by itself was very comfortable, and the underwire definitely gave me the support and definition I wanted. It's almost perfect. I wish it had push-up padding, but for a travel bra it is great. I even bought it in black for significantly cheaper at Century21 in NYC during a short trip. It dries in about 2-3 hours after washing too, which is great.

The Ibex Balance Brief is great! I took two on a two week trip, and didn't have any problems. I'll get a third for next trip so I don't feel as pressured to get home and wash at the end of the night if I have a lot going on any specific day.

u/PeachyMcGee · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I bought these and while they aren't perfect, they're keeping me comfortable enough that I don't feel like I have to go out and get a new bra! I am smaller chested, but my boobs have had at least 4 different stages so far and I bought a couple nice new bras around stage 3 because I couldn't imagine they could possibly get any bigger..... wrong!

u/GrandmaSlappy · 1 pointr/AmItheAsshole

NTA 100%, I myself struggle with that kind of thing and have had to find a lot of work arounds to stay modest, mostly because I'm shy about my arms/legs/butt, but also with boobies. But here's some ideas to help with the bustin' out bust issue if you ever need it:

u/craigslistaddict · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

You can get something like this https://www.amazon.com/Braza-Converter-Strap-Holder-Style/dp/B008BWSMEA (or the other product suggestions) to convert the straps to a racerback style!

u/LadySkywalker · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

You really might have to go with boob tape, but I've used these for costumes and they work nicely, but they might be up too high for the cut of that dress.

Okay, so this is my kind opinion, if you wear white or pink shoes or thigh highs with this dress, you're going to look silly. I would definitely go with black.

The stockings should be sheer but black or nude is definitely where you want to be. The problem with thigh highs, is if your garter belt is a little too tight you might have some lumpy effects through the dress. Not saying you have lumps, but I don't have lumps and sometimes that happens to me. I also don't know how long your dress is, but most thigh highs don't hit that high up and you run the risk of people seeing the lacy top. Maybe try a full stocking? And I'm not sure about a pattern but maybe something like this but honestly, I think sheer nude is fine.

Underwear?

I've never had a plug but I've seen a lot of talk about ones that have jewels on them. Like this

Well I'm not good at getting presents for people I don't know, but what about a proper shaving kit? Like badger brush, nice cream and lotion, maybe a straight razor?

I'm sorry I don't have any fun anniversary stories. Oh no..actually. In high school my boyfriend had our two friends kid nap me and they flew a giant pirate flag from their car and he came chasing after me and there was a fake sword fight and he carried me to his car and then gave me a map which led to a treasure chest in my room that contained a tiny diamond necklace. Yup.

  1. If it were me I would try [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Adhesive-Uplifting-Pushup-Strapless-Breast/dp/B0037C0VPC/ref=pd_sim_misc_14)

  2. These heels are super cute and I think would add a fun pop to the outfit.

  3. Now I would probably do nude stockings myself but you are looking for pastel so I found these pale pink ones. They look really nice and if you are thinking of more of a shoe like she is wearing let me know I will search for it.

  4. Casabella Thongs are super pretty, sexy and really comfortable. You will probably wear these more then just that night.

  5. Ok so it's an anniversary and about both of you. If you have tried this I recommend it. Fun for the two of you. Probably our favorite bedroom item.

  6. I asked my husband for ideas. He said his favorite practical gifts (they seem to have similar personalities) was his Leatherman. He said he ends up using it all the time more than he thought he would. The other one is his nice disk storage I got him he uses it for his games. Those are the exact items he owns. :)

VAT should probably stop with the complicated contests.

These are exactly $7 and would be extremely useful to me. Bras hurt and now that it's summer I can't just wear huge sweaters all the time lol.

u/babeh_maker · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I would use these. They're a fairly inexpensive solution and if need be you can use multiples. Motherhood Maternity also sells them for like 3 dollars.

u/designosaurusrex · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

This bra in 55J looks stellar on you. I'm not much help in regards to recommendations, but I don't think you'd do well in Comexim's 2 seam half cups. There's almost no immediate projection-it goes up like a sharp angle-so the gore doesn't tack. A 3hc would be more open on top and more amenable to your tall roots. Also, you can get bra extenders on lots of places. I'm not sure if we can post links but I'll try: http://www.amazon.com/Extender-Breathing-3pcs-Pack-Multi-size-Optional/dp/B013JG7J7I/ref=sr_1_5?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1459402451&sr=1-5&nodeID=2364767011&keywords=bra+extender

Might I suggest some pasties, ie Petals? they're specifically made to hide nipples without wearing a bra. You can get them on Amazon, either disposible or washable/reusable. Not very expensive either. Just a suggestion. :)

And FWIW, in this context it's pronounced like "paste", not like in "Cornish pasties". Figured I'd add that since you're in the UK, although I think most people call them Petals these days.

u/addy-Bee · 1 pointr/asktransgender

>and you can't go back once you jump

Says who? You can experiment with femme clothing, makeup, sexual activity (dildos, vibes, etc) and a tone more in the privacy of your home.

And then, if you decide to try hormones, you have at least 4-5 months before you have to start worrying about long-term permanent changes.

>how do I figure this out and either jump, or step back from the metaphorical cliff in confidence.

Again, you've got it all wrong. Femininity is an ocean, not a cliff. You can jump in...or you can go a bit slower.

But to answer your question: I'd start by getting some sleep.

Then just...try things out. Shave your legs. Shave your everything. Buy a bra. Get breastforms. Wear panties. Try makeup. Go to a local support group for trans people. Wear skinny jeans. Grow your hair.

But most of all, chill the fuck out. This isn't a decision you need to make all at once, with no data. Go see if how womanhood suits you, and if if fits...it just fits.

u/MamaXerxes · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

Maybe getting cups sewn in and going with Braza Contour Petals? I wore those for nip coverage in another dress, and there is a way to apply them so they give you support and shape (there is instructions in the box). Maybe the combo would be enough?

I have more or less given up on finding a strapless or sticky bra that fits (UK 32FF) so I normally just use silicone pasties for my nips and let my boobs do what they will. The ones I use can be washed and reused. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TR3SS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_THQLDbS63JZ3P
