How soon is the date? If you have a week or more, this foot peel is what I use, bit it takes like a week to work, which is why I ask. Don't go on a date with peeling feet.

Otherwise.

What You Need

  • Bathtub or sink, hot water, towel
  • Pumice stone or Sugar/Salt Scrub
  • Your favorite lotion
  • Vaseline
  • Socks you don't care about

Start tonight before you go to bed. Run some warm water in the tub (or sink, like me, because I don't wanna waste a tub of water). Soak your feet for about 15 minutes. After, GENTLY run the pumice stone over your dry skin and callouses. I repeat, gently. Do not try to sand it off. If you have a few days until the date, you can probably do this again. Another option is to use sugar scrub.

After that, pat your feet dry. Have a favorite lotion? Slather it on your feet. I just use basic Jergens. Really let it soak in. Once it's all good and moisturized, get ready for the part that'll really make your toes curl (in a weird way).

Lube them feet up real well with Vaseline. Slip those sacrifice socks on over, and go to bed. Yeah, it feels weird. Yes, I totally get sleeping in socks in hard. But trust me, when you wake up the next morning your feet will feel like new feet.

Don't exfoliate too much, and make sure during the day that your feet ARE DRY, as keeping moisture around there for too long is a great way to get athletes' foot. Vaseline and exfoliation is usually only necessary once a week.

Get a nice pedicure, with yours (or his) favorite color.

Now, overall, he'll (hopefully) feel special for the effort you put in, and you won't feel self-conscious when he wants to kiss or suck on your toes.

Tbh just look up foot fetish porn for ideas in bed. It's what I did.

Ok, so first off, stop digging at your feet with an exact-o knife. That's like using a chainsaw to cut drywall.

If you need to physically remove calluses and dead skin, get the right tool for the job: a pumice stone and/or callus rasp/callus shaver. Use these carefully, especially around areas where you've got cuts.

To help the dry parts of your feet heal, moisturize! Silicone/gel socks feel weird (it's like walking on rubber duckies) and make my feet sweaty, but they've done more to soften gnarly calluses than anything else I've ever tried, especially when used regularly and for several hours at a time. (If you aren't afraid of girly colors, there are plenty of other/cheaper options for these on Amazon.) When you aren't wearing the socks, use a lotion or cream like Working Feet or Cerave Foot Cream. Also, ALWAYS wear socks (just like normal cotton socks) when you aren't wearing the silicon socks.

You can also do a foot soak, either with just water, or water plus some bath salts or foot soak stuff. Silicon scar sheets or hydrocolloid bandages might also help with some of the deeper/open cuts you have.

Combine those for several weeks, probably in the order of foot soak, callus shave, moisturize + socks, then more moisturizer after removing, and I'd think you'd see a lot of improvement.

The babyfoot thing is also a good idea for you, but I wouldn't recommend using that until all of your cuts/open wounds have healed. I think the peels are basically acid, and that's probably very painful if you use it on open cuts.

If all of that fails, go see a doctor or podiatrist. Your feet are super important, and if the above interventions aren't helping, I think that's a strong sign your feet need some professional help to get them healed up.

You can buy them on Amazon too! Super comfy and squishy to step on. I'd say it might help! It only covers the heels too, if for some reason you don't like wearing socks.

Pedicures usually end in nail painting but if you go to a nail spa or whatever and ask for a pedicure, they'll stick you in the chair and start soaking your feet. Then they'll slough off the dead skin, massage your feet/legs, moisturize your feet, and if you want them to, they'll clean up your toenails and trim them and stuff.

I love pedicures so fucking much. They feel amazing.

ETA - For dry skin/cracked heels, before I go to sleep I've been putting thick foot cream on and then heel socks. It's helped hugely for me. GL!

Hey mama! Yeah cracked feet are THE WORST and I've always had to stay on top of it. These things feel fucking weird but they are amazing for healing your heels.

I've had the bleeding cracks, the whole shebang, and it's miserable. Try these (you can wear them under regular socks if you need to). And try not to walk in bare feet much at home. Get 3-packs of cheap short socks at the dollar store and toss them when they get holes. Bare feet (and flip-flops count, they're just as bad) dry your feet out really really fast, even if it feels better in summer. :( Even just thin socks will help keep the dust from sucking all the moisture from your feet and keep it in your skin where it belongs.

Good luck! 💖

I have a feeling you're much worse off than I was, but I did have good success using a thick foot balm then putting moisturizing socks over top every day before I went to bed. Took around two weeks before my feet started to look better.

I'm sorry for your struggle -- it sounds so uncomfortable and painful :( I'm a cuticle/bottom lip destroyer.

Just want to say that social media is probably the biggest trigger for my mental health in general. I deleted facebook a while ago and it has really helped!! I think the yoga could be really helpful. I personally don't enjoy it but mindfulness in general has really helped my overall anxiety.

Would anything in the evening help? I take trazodone to sleep because I have anxiety/insomnia (not sure if you've talked to your doctor about issues with sleep). What about a hot bath before bed to help your anxiety? Or some chamomile tea? I also stretch a lot at night that really, really helps me relax and focus on my body instead of my brain.

Could you pick up a hobby that requires you to use your hands that you could do in the evening? I crochet, especially when I'm anxious.

Words of encouragement? YOU GOT THIS!! Take it one day at a time. Sometimes I get so frustrated because I look down and all 10 of my fingers have scabs or cuts and it's so easy to get discouraged. I Try to remind myself it's never too late in the day and it doesn't have to be black and white (ie: i've picked all day and ruined them, fuck it ::picks and bites until my fingers are raw::)

Stay strong <3

edit: or what about wearing gloves in the evening? Like, soft, spa type gloves that you can put your hands in? I have no experience but something like this? or these and actually now I want a pair..

u/ktemw · 2 pointsr/eczema

I have these gloves I bought with silicone insides (I think they were called “spa gloves” - totally sure you could find them on amazon, I’ll look for a link and update). They kind of just look like regular mittens but plastic inside. I SLATHER my hands in cream and sleep with them on all night and it makes a huge, huge difference. I prefer these over other types of bamboo, etc type gloves as I can slather cream inside and it isn’t absorbed by the fabric - it just sits on my skin and soaks in over hours.

I also use bandasil - liquid bandaid spray, when my eczema cracks and leaves me with cuts on my hands. I once had some bad cracking and cuts and got a nasty infection in my finger as a result. Finger swelled and turned dark in colour, ended up on antibiotics. The bandasil is great because it acts as a barrier for without wrapping bandaids all over yourself. I keep it on me and reapply throughout the day / after I wash my hands, etc.

I have the same sensitivity to cold as you. I need to wear a sweatshirt or sweater to eat yogurt ( I live in Minnesota where winters are brutal) I have chillblains on my left foot. Things that have helped me are getting really warm shoes ( which I have had to buy about 2 sizes bigger than my usual to accommodate very thick socks.) The boots are Sorel and socks from Llbean. Also applying a thicklayer of Vaseline on your feet before putting socks on helps. I also find using gel socks at night, before bed is making a tremendous difference. It was 0 degrees Fahrenheit today when I waited outside to pick up my daughter and my feet were not cold at all but my fingers started throbbing in pain because I only wore thin driving gloves.
These are the gel socks I use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O81S77A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kHKYDb8PK7KRA
I don't know where you live and if you need one but for winter I finally got myself a down coat that goes down to my knees. Makes a world of difference to people like us.

I think I looked up moisterizing socks. Here's what I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KWYNAQU?pc_redir=T1

If I understand what you are saying, then it sounds like the blister is on the inside of your big toe, not the outside where the foot touches the skate. If that is the case, it is because your toes are rubbing together. There are a few good solutions to this.

  1. Moleskin (as someone else mentioned) - You just cut it and put it over the blister area and it should prevent it in the future.
  2. Gel toe Pads
  3. Toe Socks
  4. Footglide - helps reduce the friction on problem areas. I know runners who swear by this stuff.
  5. BlisterShield - is a powder that goes in your socks that should protect you from moisture, but may not work if space is an issue.

I had a treat yourself day yesterday so I'm glad you asked this! I put on a pore care face mask, used a foot peel mask, trimmed my fingernails and then used a hydro foot machine that heats up water and gives you a massage. TREAT. YO. SELF.

I always end up kicking the socks off, haha! I ordered these and they came today, I'm kinda excited to try them tonight!

u/Hollyingrd6 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

If you want socks you should get some Aloe infused socks. These look super fuzzy and the best part they are non stick so you can wear them around the house and friends houses without shoes!

Or here is another aloe infused pair but they can be worn with shoes.

If you haven't tried aloe infused you really need to they are so awesome for house lazing and travel.

I just got these (Upper Canada Soap All About Men Moisture Gel Socks https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00JOPJLWU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_LpNEybJRM3W7J) and have been sleeping in them - when I wake up my skin is soft like after a bath. I use a foot file in the shower in the morning and my calluses are disappearing fast!

(I got the men's ones because I can't stand the feeling of tight socks on my feet at night, but I'm sure any similar gel sock would work)

Pedieggs are bush. I'm talking the chemical peels
