The shape is right aside from I think they are scaled down a bit, but they are apparently way darker than the photo which is a bummer. I ordered a set just because I appreciate the aesthetic more than having an exact copy of the film ones...and im cheap.
If it was a glass for me, I'd probably get a pair of the Glencairn mixer glasses (not the snifters) that are recommended above, but unless your girlfriend is a real whiskey snob she may not recognize that you've gotten her an "official" tasting glass.
If you are looking for something unique or something that she can enjoy both looking at and using, I'd recommend either of these. They catch the eye from across the room and are sure to be a welcome replacement to her plastic cup:

I also personally like the Iceberg glasses that are on Amazon, but that's sort of an acquired taste, I like that the top is square and the bottom is complex, but you'd have to know that it matches her style.
Good luck!
$50?? Is that glass made of diamonds? Consider a Canadian Glencairn as a suitable and dramatically less expensive alternative to the Denver & Lily
A really well aged booze of his preference -- whiskey, scotch, bourbon, etc. Go to a higher end liquor store to ask about which booze to buy, and bonus points if it comes in nice packaging like a fancy box and/or velvet bag. Then a fancy set of tumblers, something like this. And, these cube and sphere ice molds are neat. Throw in a book about medieval history, and maybe since he's a foodie, it could be one about medieval food & drink. Amazon has a bunch.
Edit: Also, since a bunch of the medieval books cover meade, you could buy him a meade history recipe book, and put it in a basket with the raw ingredients so he can make it himself.
BOOM! Gifted! -- Michael Scott, probably

These were the closest I could find
I got mine at the local department store.
We're plebes and drink all our whiskeys/ryes/scotchs/bourbons out of the same glass

We like this one, it's what you'd usually see people on TV drinking out of. But you can look around a bit.
I bought one of the small Glencairn glasses for myself and a couple of the larger glasses for my friends who prefer to add ice to their drinks. I was a bit skeptical at first but after using them I think they're worth every penny.
I think glasses are a personal thing -- I prefer a nice fat bottom double old fashioned glass. IE:

Don't forget the [Canadian Glencairn] (http://www.amazon.com/Glencairn-Crystal-Canadian-Whisky-Glass/dp/B004HU4STS) as well, this is my favorite as the regular Glencairn just doesn't feel comfortable in my hands.
Could be these...
Dammit, I love glen plaid stuff- even my scotch glasses are!

Closest I've seen are these 10oz whiskey glasses - https://www.amazon.com/JoyJolt-Whiskey-Glasses-Insulated-10-Ounces/dp/B07MPCX3JG
Duralex makes similar tumblers to what you're looking for. I have the 4.5 oz version for cortados, and I have no issue whatsoever holding them with hot espresso and freshly steamed milk. I am sure the ones you are looking at would work fine.
If you guys wanted to know: the manufacturer of the glass is Anchor Hocking.
They can usually be found at Walmart.
Link to Walmart page.
EDIT: Also a link to the same glass on Amazon.
No worries, is this the style your after?

Apologies for the long links as I’m on mobile
I'm a big fan of these http://www.amazon.com/Reed-Barton-Crystal-Double-Fashions/dp/B0000CFSQT
Not the same glass, but the Anchor Hocking Tartan is similar, as is the Cristal d'Arques Paris Rendez-Vous .
Edit: Again, not the same glass, but these Orrefors are very nice glasses.
Get a couple of big-mitted friends to order with you and the set of six of these are a good price. Sets of 12 don’t cost too much more, but that’s a lot of glassware taking up shelf space.

I really wanted to post the quantities because I had been looking for a starting point recipe and couldn’t find much.
I don’t know that the antibacterial quality of the hops was the problem. They were as carbonated as the rest of that batch (ginger-apple/basil- maple agave). I believe that I wasn’t using enough priming sugar. I had good bubbles on a batch that I added a whole apple too which had ~15grams of sugar. This batch I ensured every bottle had 15grams of sugar be it from juice, fruit, or adding priming sugar, and a hybrid of these.
The hops I ordered from Amazon but have since found a local brew shop I might try to buy them from.

Maybe these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WACW7C/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I feel like you can't go wrong with these, they look just like the ones my parents had when I was growing up and I always really liked them.
These are pretty cool for a cheap/informal option.
I really like this decanter with these glasses and was going to give them as a Christmas gift before I found a nice bar set at an antique shop.
Fun option. Plastic, but they light up!
