I had the same problem. Even my comfortable underwear was irritating the groin area between the leg hole area. It was always damp and itchy and I started drawing blood. It was painful and sore.
I solved the problem by getting underwear that was more than a few sizes bigger than my normal size.
The ones I bought were Fruit of the Loom Women's Plus-Size 5 Pack Fit for Me Breathable Briefs.
I'm not plus-sized, but they were big in a good way. Before pregnancy I was a size 4, but I got size 2X and they even fit over my 39 week bump comfortably without falling off.
They are breathable, very stretchy and don't irritate my groin area. I love them so much I bought another pack. They would probably be great in case of a C-section too.

I dunno if it's the same as the hospital, but it's like football jersey material almost. It doesn't make my buttcrack sweat. I've found this recently to be very very important, lol. Target sells them (probably other places too), and at the recommendation of a friend I agreed to check them out. I only bought a 4 pack because I feel enormous and didn't want to get a ton, but once I felt them I was like, "Yes, I'm buying these." No ragrets. ;b
Vanity Fair Bikini panties are my favs. Plenty of material to keeps things inline down there. Expensive but totally worth the fit and look.

If you want to really have a risk, put them in something like this, in a bright color.
If you don't want them to actually get caught, you can get them something like this in black. If they peek out of pants, they'll look totally mundane to any passers-by, but the guy wearing them will be constantly worrying and feeling like everyone knows.
Cock ring is also a good suggestion, throw a butt plug in for fun. Cock ring will also make the panties fit extra poorly.
Also, put them in some pink socks, or have them wear stockings.

I used to work as a nurse aide before graduating and I had a similar problem. I found a pair of "breathable" undies here and changed my scrubs to a different type of fabric thats more breathable here and it helped so much.
You can't help but get sweaty in your job, it's going to happen. I would maybe suggest you ask in r/nursing and see if they have any advice of what they do at work to deal with sweat.

Honestly I'm a teeny bit of a snob, I wear only vanity fair underwear, and you get it from department stores, or online through Amazon. Depending on sales or the coupon you've got, you can get it down to $4.50 a pair. They are incredibly high quality, pairs last for years and years, the most recent ones I have are 3 years old, and they're still in good condition. The elastic can start to spool out if you don't care of them when you wash them, but you can just cut it off with scissors and keep going. The material is awesome (I'm very much against cotton personally). Hiiiighly recommend, very much worth the few extra dollars per pair. Huh! I have a pulse sized hour glass. So fat a$$ and tiny waist. So all underwear gets consumed between the cheeks, I’m cut up front, terrible. For the longest time I solved this by wearing thongs, least amount of fabric for the CONSUMPTION. They were few and far between though as far as comfort, but our 20’s went about comfort right.
Now I just go for moisture wicking and call it a day

You're certainly not alone in your fears. There's no shame in not being able to use tampons or just simply not wanting to. There's no one right way, different things work for different people. I never really liked putting things inside and I'm almost 30. Now I use reusable pads since I had issues with itching and sores from disposables, but I do pair them with period underwear which is a big help.
Would something like this work for you? They're made like men's jock straps, so nothing goes up the crack.

Not sure how they are but they seem similar. Haven't used these myself and unfortunately they don't ship to me country either. But at the very least they might help you with leakage until you get used to a cup or the reusable pads.

When I work out I only wear my Costco underwear lol. At Costco they're only $10. They are bikini cut but slightly higher, which is nice because I don't have to worry about getting a wedgie. Also they're 95% cotton so I stay nice and dry. The only thing is the colors aren't that great and neither are the patterns but I love them for working out and wearing to work.
