You can find them, but you'll likely be unhappy unless you get them from a vendor freshly roasted. Roasted/toasted nuts go bad quicker, and walnuts are high in polyunsaturated fats, which in turn makes them go rancid faster than, say, an almond.
Are they worth $20?

My first guess is Planters discontinued the variety/size.
Perhaps weather conditions were unfavorable and the peanut harvest in Virginia was poor.
Hit Planters up on Twitter/Facebook/1-800 number and see whats up or go downtown to the Peanut Shoppe at State/High and see if they can set you up with a suitable fix.

I just found these today: http://www.amazon.com/Planters-Peanuts-Spanish-12-5-Ounce-Packages/dp/B000GTFL90 at my local grocery store.
The nutrition on the site says 5g total/2g fiber, but my can says 4g total/3g fiber.
That is per serving (1 oz or 28.32g if my math is right. [pssst conversionbot])
Hope this helps!
lots of places.

you've probably seen them
they look like peanuts though,
you have to read that package carefully.. i've bought raw by accident.
Is this terrible? 18g Net carbs for a whole bag. I eat about a 3rd of the bag a day for a snack. It doesn't seem too terrible.

My local Mexican bodega sells the tall boys of these and these Chili-lime peanuts...great in general, but even better when you can keep low-carb.

It might just be easier to give you a sort of meal plan.
Quite simply:
A few (2-4) scrambled eggs for breakfast.
A salad with some chicken on it for lunch.
1-2 nut snack packs in between.
That's basically what I'm doing right now. And this will be super easy to do with access to a dining hall at your college. You can get a 48 pack of peanut snack packs on amazon for $7.48.

These are fun, but I have a feeling the heat is mostly extract based like their hot sauce.
