Here is the girdle. I wear all three pieces together. I would suggest taking the stool softener in the morning, afternoon and evening throughout recovery.

Day before surgery:

Wasn't able to eat or drink after 11 p.m. I could have clear liquids til 3 a.m. I went to bed around 8 p.m.

Morning of Surgery:

Woke up at 2:45 a.m. Drank the clear pre surgery drink. Checked into the hospital at 5 a.m. Ten minutes later they had me in a prep room. Did a urine sample right away. Then they gave me some medicine to help with the pain when I woke up after surgery. They drew blood to ensure they had the right type in case I needed a transfusion. They hooked up my IV here as well. Signed more paperwork and spoke to an anesthesiologist. They took me to the OR around 7 a.m.

Surgery:

Layed on the table and they covered me in toasty blankets. They put something through my IV which I think was something to do with anesthesia. That part was weird. All of my orifices felt like lava hot air was coming out of them. It didn't hurt just felt super off. They said it was normal. They then put the mask on my face and 5 deep breaths later and I was out.

After Surgery:

I woke up in phase one recovery at about 10 a.m. They checked my temp and blood pressure and fed me ice chips. Throat was sore due to the breathing apparatus they had in me. (This and a catheter was put in and take out all while I was unconscious). Once a private room opened up they rolled my bed down to recovery phase 2. Here I was given a menu of drinks and food. I needed to show them I could eat and drink without troubles. Once I had food in my stomach they gave me hydrocodone for the pain. I needed to also show then I could pee on my own before leaving. The nurse walked me to the bathroom and they had a bowl in it to collect the urine for more testing. There is a bit of blood. Don't worry that is normal. Getting up and back down was really rough. Once I got back to bed I laid flat to rest. Once the pain had subsided enough I strapped myself into the girdle.

After Recovery:

They wheeled me to the inhouse pharmacy to collect more hydrocodone to take home with me. After that I got a ride home at around 2 p.m. and set up in bed. On the first day I was able to walk around and wasn't as incapacitated as I thought I would be. Still try to take it easy if you can.

Day 2:

I slept alright with the help of the hydros and ibuprofen. Woke up and just trying to stay in bed as best I can. Pain is tolerable. I can keep you posted as I go through my recovery to help you know what to expect. It's going to be different depending on each person but hopefully this is helping.

Merry Fridaymas! Here's a work selfie - my boss is away until next Wednesday so I'm happy! More hours and peace and quiet! <3

Oops, edit for item link! I'm job searching and these leggings would make more of my ahem shorter dresses work-appropriate haha.

A US 44G would be the equivalent of US 46F, so the bra is one cupsize too small.

Unless the calculator recommended UK 46G US 46i? Could you double-check this? Then the cup would be 3 cupsizes too small, which would also explain the discomfort.

When the cup is too small, the breasts push the cup away from the body. As a result it can happen that the cups tilt forward, which results into major digging in the ribs and belly fat.

Similar can happen when the cup is too shallow. Looking at the photos the bra seems to be quite shallow in the cup.

My suggestion would be to try some bras in your correct size (US 46G / UK 46F) and work from there.

I did some digging on amazon for you:

https://www.amazon.com/Elomi-Rita-3-Part-Convertible-Poppy/dp/B00FF4DQ8Y/ (here 46F since Elomi uses UK sizes)

https://www.amazon.com/Glamorise-Womens-Elegance-Underwire-Lilac/dp/B01KKAMUVG/ (here 46G)

https://www.amazon.com/Sculptresse-Panache-Womens-Flirtini-Balconnet/dp/B01E906TT2/ (here 46F)

Since you are struggling with underwire in general (I totally understand about sensory issues, bras are my special interest):

https://www.amazon.com/Leading-Lady-Womens-Leisure-Cotton/dp/B0007SMRO2/

And if you can afford it, I would strongly recommend this bra:

https://www.amazon.com/Elomi-Womens-Amelia-Underwire-Bandless/dp/B00HOAR1B0/ - again in UK 46F.

The first three bras I picked bc they are 1) reduced to a some-what affordable price and are from big name brands and 2) if you compare all 3 you will get a good idea of your breastshape.

Glamorise tends to be shallow, wide and tall without a lot of volume in the bottom, Elomi is wide and tall with quite a bit of projection, the Sculptresse is narrow and projected and meant for shorter roots than Elomi and Glamorise

The shape of the Torrid bra that you linked reminds me of the Curvy Kate Princess, sadly CK only goes up to a 44 band. But I've found that the Elomi Amelia tends to fit somewhat similar to Curvy Kate, it is meant for shorter roots. Additionally it is quite projected for a padded bra bc it is made out of spacer foam. Thus the rec for the Amelia.

There are these, called sleevey wonders on amazon. They come in a variety of styles and colors! You can also wear them over or under the dress to get the look you want and front ways or backways. I am wearing one on my day with my designer dress! My seemstress recommended it.

I feel like a broken record because I just posted this same thing on another similar thread.

I found a couple of styles you could try that may work. Wacoal or
Glamorise. Try 34DD in them and maybe the next cup size up; which in the Wacoal is 34G and the Glamorise appears to be 34F (in US sizing, sometimes they refer to DDD as DDD/F so I guess that's what is happening here. also maybe the Wacoal Embrace Lace could be worth trying.

There's really loads of options in 34DD and if you need 34DDD US/34E UK, there's still more than plenty. But it may take some doing to work through them, depending on how hard it is to find a match.

The black dress on the right in this picture is rather pretty!

/u/mskalak

Edit: and this one is quite nice. I like the wine color. This one is similar. For less of a batwing design, there's this or this. I think a lot of things could be added to punch up the look -- a hair pin (bonus points for those droopy feathers) or cloche hat; curled hair; a (faux) fur stole, a bedazzled belt, a brooch, pumps, etc. :) Not all of them, but some. :P

here is the gore on my Glamorise popping forward it's not quite enough to make a bump in my shirt (I used my fingers to press the shirt down to show you the gap).
this is the bra I'm wearing which looked relatively low gore :(
