VISM AK Chest Rig - $20.

Absolutely love this chest rig! It holds 6 mags comfortably, and 2 more could be tucked in the pouches on the side. For the price, it cannot be beat.

u/Sambuscus0 · 8 pointsr/airsoft

Honestly, I would say scrap the combat shirt and buy a Condor Recon Chest Rig and then use the money you saved on the belt/ mag pouches to eye pro/ face pro.

Sure - but just a warning - the Offworld jacket is the most expensive part of the outfit. It's a USMC WEP style jacket, which is typically a Nylon shell and goes for $200+. On the show, however, they used a RipStop material, which isn't as shiny. If you don't care about that, you can save yourself about $100.

I followed this Costume Guide

Oregon Areo is good but the pads freeze in winter... which I found out the hard way.

Heard good things about Skydex and am looking to replace the pads I have for next winter.

https://store.skydex.com/helmet-pads

I had the issued one clip rust shut on me and had to cut it off, I am a sweaty bastard... A few MCPL's and above have seen my helmet and were more interested in what I thought of it and getting there own then giving me shit for modifying my issued gear.

Cheap, secure, adjustable.

Holds 12x18rd clips at max capacity.

Edit: The Urban/Snow Camo version is probably your best price/performance ratio.

It sounds to me like you want to get some kind of construction kneepad since they have a flat front which is better for being on your knees for a long duration vs. "tactical"/military focused kneepads which are designed to stay on well while moving and give protection while transitioning into different firing positions in rough terrain.

Any of the mid priced options here will probably work fine for your purposes, you definitely want something with gel though.

As for military knee pads, my personal favorite is the Hatch X-Tak, and I am speaking as someone who has worn them for the past 6 years between being in the military, training after the military, and while hiking to keep my knees from getting wrecked while doing camp chores.

https://www.amazon.com/HATCH-Xtak-Knee-Pad-Black/dp/B01AJ5DNZ4/ref=sr_1_10?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1480215796&sr=1-10&keywords=hatch+xtak+knee+pads

I figured black would be more your speed, but the OD green is my favorite. Make sure you are getting the knee pads and not the elbow pads.

Anyways, cheers and I hope you find what you are looking for. Remember, soft front pads will wear out faster, but they might be easier to conceal/wear without distracting you with noise, etc.

u/ZeroMercuri · 2 pointsr/Nerf

The Narrowbase magazine holders are designed specifically for NERF mags. The AK Chest Rig does fit nerf mags as well. Two 12 dart mags will fit just fine in each pocket with the elastic and will stick up about an inch out of the pocket. 18 dart mags will still fit in the pockets but the included elastic isn't long enough to old them down.

Oh, if you're in Europe some of Blastersmith's stuff might be good for you but I personally don't have any experience with it. And this looks like the exact same AK Chest Rig I linked but in green and more expensive.

u/piratejit · 2 pointsr/airsoft

That will increase your costs a little bit. This is a pretty good piece of load bearing gear for cheap http://www.amazon.com/Official-Military-Fighting-Tactical-Assault/dp/B004E2DHC8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405999297&sr=8-1&keywords=usmc+lbe If you want a plate carrier condor makes some inexpensive ones that are nice.

Ah, so you would want the Olive Drab - Sage field uniforms or the Olive Drab Garrison Uniforms.

For the field uniforms, those were custom made for the show.

They were Olive Drab WEP G-8 in Ripstop Cotton. The pilot episode had them in surplus Sage WEP G-8s made of shiny nylon. A bit warm for casual wear.

You can buy the Nylon WEP G-8s around the internet but to get cotton ripstop, you're gonna pay a pretty penny for them to be custom made.

Next best, in my opinion is the standard Olive Drab BDU jacket. Looks about the same, except it does not have shoulder pockets or a pre-sewn velcro pad for patches. If you have any sewing skills, you could add those yourself.

The pants are standard BDU Cargo pants in Olive Drab.

The vest was a Blackhawk Omega Utility Vest:

https://www.amazon.com/BLACKHAWK-Omega-Tactical-Medic-Utility/dp/B001NDSZ2S

Any tactical boot in black would work. They Used Magnum Stealths though IIRC.

I gotta ask for myself and for those curious about this:

If you are a part of the army and do have side-work doing something-something that does require you to be armed...why so low at $50?! I would assume any job that requires you to have a weapon handy would pay enough for you to offer more than a budget of fitty dollars.

Now for a suggestion how about this? It's below/at your budget and it has quite a few mag pouches already plus the hydration carrier (the actual bladder not included), and has enough molle for you to attach extra pouches and such as you want.

u/Luissen · 2 pointsr/airsoft

going with the conderp theme, there is a solution to that problem.

instead of attaching the modstraps to the pouch at a weird angle, you can use a bib and run the mod straps between the bib and the shoulder straps PALs to make it stay put

For magfed a chest rig is a must. I've been playing magfed and using my chest rig for 2 months now, and I find it to be quite functional while staying somewhat on the affordable side. I can't speak for other mags, but the TMC's seem comparable in size to my T15's mags, so they should fit nicely (if you chose to go with the TMC that is).

My rig includes:

u/taiwaneseprick · 1 pointr/airsoft

Yeah, I've thought of doing that. Oregon Aero also makes a drop-in suspension for them. I have to agree with you there, my M35 is somehow very very comfy.

u/morpheus1229 · 1 pointr/Nerf

What do I think?

Go with something cheap. But not like, quality cheap, like, "I spent $20-$30, it's good but not my play style" or "This works well, i should buy more!"

I have the Condor MCR5, but I bought it cheaper than that. Not by much. The NCStar Vism AK Rig seems to be another cheap option - I know there's a few people around here who have it.

I also know people who like to run a battle belt system, as well as a few guys who just tape a few mags together and run a single Sentinel with a large jungle mag.

Basically, I'd say don't worry about going all-out, especially if you aren't sure how you want to play.

u/ODINLAF · 1 pointr/ak47

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00JSIT7QI/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1414864579&sr=8-2 it's cheap, can hold 6 mags, and has 3 utility pouches for whatever

u/gibsen · 1 pointr/EDC

I have a FSP and a Boker Plus Tactical Pen. They both use Fisher refills so it makes things easier for me. I went for the carbon fiber version, but this one is the less expensive version.

I'd just get the Condor MOPC plate carrier as a stand in. It will give you something to wear and figure out setups on, and when you grow out of it you won't have $250 invested in a plate carrier. You can get a carrier from the same factory as Condor for like $50 on Amazon. Just know that it is Chinese quality and may show wear a good bit quicker than a JPC

u/zxj4k3xz · 1 pointr/airsoft

I just got the Hatch Xtak. Seems nice, though I haven't gotten to use them in a game yet.

u/gabe_07 · 1 pointr/airsoft

I may end up using a plate carrier due to being able to throw a hydration bladder in it and having more options.
this one seems cool. I'm not sure if it comes with pouches or if I would need to get some. Also I would need to add a side arm holster to it later down the road when I finally look for a nice sidearm.

EDIT: nvm just saw the evike review and can see and hear it runs large. I'm a pretty skinny dude so I would need something small/ish and tight fitting.

u/windows2000pro · 1 pointr/FortNiteBR

Got it from amazon. It’s a bit big but I was able to tuck in the shoulders a bit to make it less huge on her.

No photos of the setup. I'd start with a vest with then go from there. You're going to most likely move this 3/4 times before you get something that feels "right." This to start you off. Depending on what gear you want to carry depends what you'll need from there. You can look at "water bottle pouches for some lens, or a grenade pouch. A double magazine pouch may hold a flash. If there is a military surplus store near you, take you gear and see what fits.

u/Arashikage88 · 1 pointr/airsoft

A second pair of goggles you wear on your forehead?

If you don't want to look like an idiot, Amazon has ABS replica helmets like this one for less than 30 dollars

u/Gabe14228 · 1 pointr/Fallout

I've gone to my Army Navy Surplus store nearby, and the closest thing I could find is similar to this.
I was considering something like this or this, but if I can find something more accurate it would be better.

u/A7X4REVer · 1 pointr/PicatinnyPB

Check out Condor Outdoor's stuff. They have a ton of different vests, you're bound to find one that works for you. You can find a bunch of their stuff on Amazon pretty cheap. If you're looking for something light to only carry about 6 mags, then something like their Rapid Assault Chest Rig might work well. However, it has no webbing on the back to mount a tank. I'm also not sure how it fits, since I have no experience with it.

If you want a vest that gives you the ability to mount a tank on your back, then their Modular Chest Set would work a bit better at the cost of being a bit heavier. I actually own this particular vest and I used it for quite a while, but eventually decided it was too big for my current loadout. If you're on the thinner side, this vest will be loose, even when fully tightened.

I'm suggesting these vests because they'll get you going the quickest, as they already have enough pouches for 6 mags built in. There are plenty of makes and models to choose from, I just recommend Condor because, in my opinion, they're a good bang for your buck. I've been using Condor gear since I got into magfed and can't say I've ever had a bad experience with them.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/paintball

I use this Condor chest rig, it comes with 6 built in mag pouches and a spot on the back for a hydration bladder, you don't need a plate carrier unless you want the extra exercise from carrying them around. The mag's fit great and are easy to take out or put back in if you don't want to use a dump pouch. On top of the vest you may want to purchase a small pouch to throw your allen keys, o-rings, lens cleaner ect in.
