For actual warmth best to go with glove liners, or fine gloves, with Mittens over top. Fingers don't have enough circulation to keep you actually warm in gloves. Combining two like the below should be close to as good as you could get for your price range

For good quality gloves you go for Hestra, but you will be dissapointed if you are looking for real heat, you need to do the above.

I think a set of sport glasses would do the trick.
Usually i see some bikers wear these types of glasses. You can get many different kinds of lenses if you dont like polarized lenses.

Bought one of these in the Stone colour. Same kind of hat as the Pinegrove ones just different colour

The equipment pictured are:

The Rift S, and updated Touch Controllers.

Command mini-hooks to mount the touch controllers in grabbing position when not in use.

Saitek X45 HOTAS setup - I found a number of these used available for around $45. They no longer support Windows 10 with their drivers, but these work fine for me with the older drivers. No link because any link to a used set will be sold soon after it's posted.

Selfpro men's sweat wicking headbands. They help reduce sweat and heat in the headset, as well as hold your hair back so it can't grease up your lenses.

Koss KSC75 headphones. Take off the clips and just tuck them under the headband, over your ear. Wind the cord around the halo over your ear, so that at rest they dangle in the right palce. The clips snap-off and snap-on, so prying them off won't damage them.

Three inch googly eyes. Easily the most important part of this kit after the headset itself.

Amazon Basics rechargable batteries.

Universal battery charger with LCD display.

Powerpax storacell AA battery caddy, so I don't have to fuck about with loose batteries. Take batteries from the right, add recharged batteries on the left. If you don't pack it 100% full, the empty space can show you which batteries have the oldest recharge - first in, first out.

Cheap and shitty A-frame computer desk.

Not pictured: Shitty Essentials armless swivel chair

EDIT: There are not any custom grips. The stock straps are hitched to the ring and re-attached.

I use one of these headbands and it works really well for me. I used to not be able to play more than 30 minutes before sweat started dripping onto the lenses. Now I can play for hours without issue.

u/EtherGnat · 3 pointsr/running

They make lots of hats for running. Personally I'm partial to Headsweats, but any running specific hat should be fine.

Sounds like me lol! I've been pretty happy with these.
The description says men's, but they fit my small head just fine with minimal slip. I've used them during runs, weight lifting, climbing, and they're always comfy.

You might try these:

Silk is said to be very warm and thin.

Here are some options instead of the studioform strap. These are effective, cooler and more affordable.

Zippered Wristbands - slide exciters in. By the way a deaf purchaser of my vibe belt out of the blue also mentioned somehow embedding exciters in clothing item or gloves, etc.

Do yourself a favor and buy some sweatbands. They're used regularly by fitness enthusiasts and athletes, and the'll drastically reduce the chances of your headset getting damaged by your sweat (which has actually happened to me once).

I also do Beat Saber to workout, and like you I use an unorthodox method of doing so (honestly, I'm still working up the courage to post a vid of myself doing so). Presently I've lost nearly 160 pounds.

I find it very exciting to see people using VR in new and inventive ways!

u/Route66_LANparty · 1 pointr/OculusQuest

Don't have a Quest in particular yet, but heavy user of Vive, Rift, Vive Pro. Using fans in the room directed at you can make a huge difference keeping you from overheating.

Other than that large thin sweat/headbands are the way to go. I use wide but thin ones like this (https://www.amazon.com/Sports-Headband-Headbands-Sweatband-Sweatbands/dp/B07F7NGWCC/). They catch alot of sweat and don't interfere with the fit. I have a basket of them near the VR space that I rotate out. Sometimes switching to a fresh headband mid VR session. :-/

I've used VRCover's products to mixed results. Overall they are nice addition options to have. But they are not the magic bullet, only solution.

Have you done the skinny ones or thicker? Do you have a lot of hair? Help us troubleshoot, even if you sweat more than average doesn’t mean you can’t find a headband 😊😊😊

I would try a heavier duty one like this. Good luck!

One of these things should do the trick:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004I5JA22/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1382457142&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

It's the wrist playbook thing for quarterbacks. Couple friends used these when I was still in. Worked like a charm.

This one has free shipping

Edit: anything shipped or sold by Amazon will have free shipping. If you don't have prime I believe you need to purchase $35 worth of goods

u/Dedzig · 0 pointsr/Ultralight

Got these off of Amazon for $15. They've been solid in limited testing around the neighborhood. Going to Dolly Sods next week, so that will be the real test. They actually work on my phone, so I'm digging that. aegend Winter Lightweight Running Gloves Touch Screen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HG2C7NB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.HcXDb8FMHE52
