DIYMFLB MARK II Beta 0.1.0a is coming along rather nicely, I have all the wood work completed in its entirety(it has an incredibly sloppy looking trench, but hey I have 7 feet worth of MFLBs) Unfortunately the issue I am running into now is electricity based(even though its practically the most simple electric work ever!) I think the screen I took off of a strainer was not Stainless steel, but rather something else. I think i'll try using something like a paper clip just to make sure that I have the principle behind its function down. I figure i'll order

In order to get the electricity conducting appropriately.
(considering using a paper clip because i'm antsy :3)

p.s the reason i broke the last one was because of how poor I am at using a chisel

There's a review on amazon from someone who used .026 stainless wire to make omega springs. I think this is what you want: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001383EXI/ref=biss_dp_t_asn

The correct mesh has been mentioned in the post linked by Godzilla Sandwich. This is the one to use. But it's out of stock. So use this, it has almost the same specifications as the other one. With that sheet you can at least build 5 Launch Boxes.

Hope I could help you out.

These, sir, will absolutely fuck someone up. 3/4" OD Steel Ball? They've got a nice weight to them without being ridiculously heavy, and will fly all day long. That's not to mention they're STEEL. Steel + Bone = Hurt.

Only one I could find for the same material was on Amazon and it was $160 for a tenpack of 60 inches of wire... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013891OO/ref=biss_dp_t_asn

Where do you buy your spring wire?

All of this is pretty confusing. LVM has a higher resistance of corrosion compared to 316L and 316L is more resistant than kanthal. Does that mean LVM will pretty much last forever???

The price makes it a pretty tough sell. 24g 316LVM will get me a six pack of 5' rods for $27. I would make the jump today but I live in Canada and it will be odd to get a 5' long tube of wire shipped across the border. I need to find a local reseller.
