For reference, discarding took about 4.5 months in my 1400 sq foot home and two storage sheds. I have started working on deep cleaning, upgrading necessary yet ugly items, and storage/organizing. I expect this to take another two months. I am watching "Clean My Space" and "Home Organizing by Alejandra.tv" channels on YouTube now to help with the process.
I am trying to keep in mind getting products out of original packaging, if possible, to limit exposure to constant advertising in my home. I am choosing to spend quite a bit on higher quality products that I love and expect to last many years. Fortunately, I have a budget that allows for some luxuries.
Bedroom

The closet has a built in shoe organizer and I used my label maker to indicate what style shoes go on which shelf – heels, sandals, sneakers, flats and boots. I also labeled the shelf for each basket. Clothes hangers are all white. They used to be all kinds of colors, and I realized that white is more calming. The folding works great for most of my other clothes. I am still pondering how to organize the nightstand drawers.
Kitchen
I bought a couple of 10" bamboo lazy susans for keeping my oils and vinegars organized in my cabinets. I bought some refrigerator organization units from InterDesign and the Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce savers. I intend to get Oxo food storage containers for dry goods.

I love the simple clean lines and the durability of the product. I downsized from a 12 person setting to 6 and it is great.
Bath
Have not done much here yet. I don’t have much need for storage organization in the cabinets. Still considering what I want to do with the drawers. Right now the drawers are still organized with small cardboard boxes from Glossybox, a cut down cereal box, and an empty jigsaw puzzle box. Laundry

Car

We live in an area prone to natural disasters so I like to be prepared wherever we are. Also, found tissues in a round container that fits perfectly in the door cup holder. I also bought a set of matching reusable grocery bags (http://www.amazon.com/ReBagMe-Reusable-Grocery-Reinforced-Handles/dp/B00Y17OIR4) so I don’t have the mismatched set. Finally, I have these on order (http://www.amazon.com/Car-Hammer-Seatbelt-Emergency-Must-Have/dp/B00CB8WM2S). Not organization related, just something I have been thinking that I needed for safety.
Purse
I reassessed what is in my purse. I used a couple small cosmetics bags that I had on hand and now have many things I wished I had at various times. Everything is neatly organized and I know exactly what is in there and why I have it. Not exactly Konmari minimalism, but those are all things that I wished I had at various times and I am happy that I will not be caught without again. It is a medium size purse, packed just right, with stuff easily accessible.
Home office

If you made it this far, congrats. Something that I have noticed is that I can now shop with confidence, I can easily toss or donate the old unloved items, and I am organized enough to return those few items that don’t work as well as I hoped. My home feels much more open and inviting. I know where everything is and my clear vision is starting to come to fruition.
I actually spend a lot of time plunging sinks, I only have access to bad sinks. This just seems crazy, as I never got wet from the sink, so that collar ain't need.
Ok so you want to know how you fix a blocked toilet, you get some gloves and stick your hand in and take the block out and you usually fixed. However if you really want to plung something get an actually toilet plunger, they actually look difference

Not very often. Clean after each use and one plunger will last you a decade or more. Someone else already posted a video of one of these doodads failing, super horrifying; someone else posted a link to Amazon, a 3 pack of these doodads is more than $20.
So ~$60 would get you nine and if you only need them once a year that will get you through most of a decade. However you'll need extras since they do occasionally fail in a super gross manner. For more than $100 you'd have 15 which would probably get you through a decade even with failures.
For less money you could buy a case of 48 plungers and just use them as a disposable item instead of cleaning them.

This does present some problems. I also prefer a comfortable seat instead of the cold, hard toilet. Apart from suggesting a toilet seat cover, (https://www.amazon.com/KLOUD-City-Thicken-Toilet-Covers/dp/B00J0OAHPA the only risk here is getting lil bits o baby on the cushion) you can also have a very small, desk sized garbage can that you use for candy wrappers and small tissues, and just blast into that. Make sure to empty weekly.

Hooo boy. Everything on my WL is weird! But the top of the charts would be things like:
The Furby I'm a film student, and the Furby is for a shoot I'd like to do, whereupon one poor soul is chased by demon furbies.
The giant raptor statue is a big one. I put it on my WL purely to share it since it's life size, and because holy crap you can own a giant raptor and stick it in your yard!
The canon would come next, It's an item I am debating on adding to my pirate themed bathroom.
And speaking of the pirate themed bathroom this skull toilet brush is going to eventually be a part of it. Unfortunately it's almost always out of stock, but I'll get it one of these days!
The dragon table is another oddity item on my WL. I'm keeping it on there for tracking purposes, much like the canon, because I plan on having my living room be Disney's haunted mansion themed and it's a good center piece. Can't get it until I move here in a few years since it's so large, but I often use my WL as a sort of checklist for future household items and this is most certainty on it.
Then there's the extraordinarily expensive stick which is a film item. A buddy in my Uni's TV crew has one, they're absolutely fantastic to work with and something I like to keep my eyes on.
Then we have the Gargoyle speaker set the knight helmet you can use as a trashcan, the horse rope (though I am starting to think I can just use the giant training leash my dog had since there is literally no difference between this lunge line and her old leash, but I do have to check length. Getting kicked in the head is not high on my list of priorities.) And then there's the oddity that is my Pet wishlist. It is mostly made up of extremely expensive small fluffy blankets and odd fish-tank items.
