Ever considered a cool shirt? Usually you see them in motorsports but there are versions that you can use with a camelback. As long as you dont need your back for something else, its really nice to have. If you can re-fill with ice you have all day cooling. I usually get 4 or so hours before i need to add ice. Just dont drink your "coolant"

Be warned though, they are a bit pricey.

EDIT: HERE is an example of what im talking about.

Sawdust will stick to anything due to static electricity. The best clothing is clothing that you won't wear out of the shop. Stuff that will be kept in the shop.

The easiest to use with the most coverage (outside of hospital smocks or scrubs) are "shop coats".

But a simple over-shirt will also work pretty well. The fire resistent ones are handy for keeping sparks from setting you on fire.

Coveralls are hard to get into and out of and aprons or bibs don't really cover all that much. I know my back is the hardest part to clean stuff off of for me and having an exposed back like in an apron would be a pain in the butt. Aprons do have pockets and are handy for that though.

Ugh. I hate that companies avoid providing uniforms by specifying color and style and providing employees with nametags that inevitably feature the company name, and probably logo - prominently. They skate by regulations by claiming that the pieces are part of the employees' wardrobe but everyone has to go buy them anyway. But I digress.

I would get some stretchy black pants, maybe cotton with a bit of spandex, so you get a good fit. Absolutely they would be wider-leg, to cover your Dansko clogs (which you can purchase in black patent, which always looks well-kept), and remember to get them in "tall" size because Danskos have thick soles and a bit of a heel.

You could also get a fitted shirt with short sleeves, maybe with some elastic in the middle (maybe not), worn outside your pants. Think scrub tops like this. I would wear it with a thin t-shirt or undershirt.

Anyway, just my $0.02.

I will admit to being 100% against black clothing. It's too hot to suffer through the 1/2 mile to my car after work. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your T-shirt and blazer idea.

I bought this pair last week.

I used Amazon's Wardrobe function to get these.

Like I already said, if you refuse to buy purses, its a non-issue. If you back a clothes company into a wall, they will sell what you want to buy.

Jeans with bigger pockets exist.: https://www.amazon.com/Red-Kap-Womens-Straight-Work/dp/B00SBHMD68

They just usually aren’t fashionable.

Here is what I wear to work. I wear skinny jeans or bootcut. And appropriate shoes, but always from the women's side of the shelf.

I wore stretchy skirts with forgiving waistbands and professional shirts but untucked. Dresses are good too, unless they're too fitted in the abdominal area. Go for flowy tops and some workpants that have some give. I like these:
