Best yoga shorts for women according to redditors

This is a fascinating article. It's hard to believe that women have been complaining about lack of pockets for over a hundred years. I wonder if we all just need to start voting with our wallets and make more of an effort to purchase clothing with sufficient pockets.

Some suggestions for anyone who's interested:

For reference I'm 5'4" and 145lbs but I weighed max 160 at the time of purchasing some of these items. I wear a size 29 jeans but sometimes I need a 30 or 28 depending on the cut/style. I am a 36c so sometimes finding shirts that fit is a mission. Hope this helps


Off shoulder dress. I use belt so I have a nicer shape. The girls fit nicely and the belt is a must so I don't feel like I'm wearing a poncho.

I wear these sightly high waisted with a spaghetti string shirt tucked in. They are comfy and the material is breathable. My hips feel happy and it hugs my curves nicely. I prefer my pants loose and I'm sure a 10 would fit but not as comfy as I'd like.

Y’all I got this three pack of shorts from amazon and they are so comfy. Don’t rub, don’t make me feel like a sausage. I’ve even been wearing them under leggings that I still chafe with, even, and they’re great.

And honestly I just use a ton of Vaseline and loose pants when I get home and try to stay off my feet in days where I chafe no matter what I do. Usually somewhat healed by the next morning.

And tbh I’ve been thinking of getting Thinx underpants for every day wear because I am uh, very moist all the time which doesn’t help. Pantyliners aren’t comfortable. Any suggestions there?

I got these from Amazon and I love them!! They don't ride up at all, and they're made of very nice fabric and don't feel super cheap at all. Which was something I was concerned about because I never buy clothes from Amazon, but I have these a go after being recommended them on this sub.

I say don’t waste money on maturity clothes. I’m a very small thin build and I didn’t buy any new shorts other than a few funny pregnancy ones. Then I bought a few yoga shorts and pants that either have a high waist that can be folded down later or don’t have a waistband and act as a belly band... all I can wear again after baby.

Literally wear whatever you want it really doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable and can grab the pole.


Swimsuit bottoms can be cute! Just make sure it's a material you like the feel of. I have some super short bike shorts and also pink jersey shorts that, while they definitely aren't long, have a little bit of a flare and are sooo so comfy. I pair them with a cute wired sports bra.

You might try something like this.

I'm a big fan of this brand, especially for the price. I prefer to run in lined running shorts, but their leggings are also fantastic. Reviews suggest that these are as nice as the leggings. The material is really nice and sturdy, and compresses some without feeling restrictive or being see-through.

I wear a bathing suit with shorts over my bottoms and no shirt over my bikini top.

I bought a swimsuit from target that I generally wear. It looks very similar to a sports bra, in that it is all one piece and no strings to tie.

I’ve only ever gone DWS less than a handful of times, but the shorts I generally wear are from this company called 90 degrees by reflex. They have their stuff on amazon.

I don’t remember the exact ones I have, but these look mostly similar to the ones I have.

What I like about these shorts is they run a size big (in my opinion) so they are good for thick legs/booty. I love this brand a lot also that one single review is from me lol.

I haven’t tried their leggings yet, just their sports bras and running shorts.

That said, I like the leggings from Senita Athletics and their prices are very reasonable (that’s basically their entire business model). I think both pairs I have were right about $30 and they’re really nice.

I also have the 5” shorts from 90 Degrees by Reflex on Amazon. I want to try their full length leggings because they’d hopefully be like the shorts, which are great.
