To add to what doug4130 said, I would suggest investing in an inexpensive gaming mouse. If you really like MMOs, it's totally worth it. You can get a decent 5 button mouse on Amazon for pretty cheap. This is the mouse I use and it's just $40.00. If that's too expensive even going with something like this for $20.00 will really enhance your play experience.
Look at it this way, you spent $60 on a game you can't play right now. You can either eat the loss, or put up another $20 which may help you a ton.
This game definitely requires a lot more skill than WoW. That's a simple fact. However, once you get the hang of it you can pretty easily do any PvE content, it's just the higher level Fractals and some dungeons you'll have problems with. However, a good mouse that you can set a lot of hotkeys on will, I promise you, help a ton.
I've had pain in my wrists, mostly from diablo-style action RPGs, but I ended up switching to much more ergonomic setups at both home and work.
I switched to an ergonomic keyboard:
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Natural-Ergonomic-Keyboard-4000/dp/B000A6PPOK?th=1
An important note, a lot of keyboard have those little raising feet on the back. They are bad for your wrists. They are the result of putting feet on the front getting patented (which are good for your wrists) and keyboard companies deciding that those were cool selling points and putting the feet on the back to avoid the patent, regardless of how bad it was for the user... This microsoft keyboard avoids the patent by having a separate attachment that raises the front to create a neutral wrist position.
At work I use this mouse wrist rest because I have multiple monitors and need to move my hand to get across all of them. I also have a hard mousepad so that it slides effortlessly:
https://www.amazon.com/Allsop-29538-Assist-Ergonomic-ASP29538/dp/B000O77KKC/ref=sr_1_53?ie=UTF8&qid=1479519217&sr=8-53&keywords=wrist+rest
At home I use this wrist rest and high sensitivity so I barely have to move my hand to accomplish things:
https://www.amazon.com/HandStands-55510-Add-Wrist-Cushion/dp/B001CWI0XY/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1479519188&sr=8-7&keywords=wrist+rest
It's all about avoiding twisting and bending your wrist and excessive strain on it. It made a huge difference for me, but I ended up buying like 4 different mouse wrist rests at the same time since they were all around $10 to find the ones that worked best for me.
Can't provide much in the way of mesmer tips, but I can definitely sympathize with your wrist problems interfering with keyboard operation. I had surgery on my wrist a couple years ago, and my left hand was nearly useless. I got one of these as a gift and it was a godsend playing WoW. I still use it in GW2, and use it for everything. I've got everything but WASD programmed to the side buttons and scroll wheel, so literally all I do with my left hand is move forward, backwards, and strafe.
Honestly, if you're looking for peripherals that will make MMOs more intuitive to play, I think it would be smarter looking into things like the Razer Nostromo keypad, or the Logitech G600 mouse (also available in black).
Or better yet, invest in getting a mechanical keyboard. As someone who just yesterday got his first mechanical keyboard― the CM Storm Trigger― I have to say that I'm in love with it. Mechanical keys feel so, so much better to type on than your standard membrane ones, plus they're gonna last a whole lot longer, too. The particular keyboard that I bought also has those five extra macro keys on the side which I'll be bind to the map, hero, inventory, etc., for easier access without my hand having to leave WASD.
Yeah. The Superluxx Solution with an external Mic is absolutely awesome and beats any Complete HS far 150 USD.
You can go the "New" Variant what costs a bit more:
HS: HD 681 Evo
Mic: Reloop
With this Combination youve got a real Headset Style, cause the Microfone will sit Right were other Mics are on the regular Headsets.
Now to the "Classic" Combination, cheaper but no loss in Quality:
HS: HD 681
Mic: Zalman Mic1
With both Solutions youre ready to go.
Only thing to Mention. You WILL need Soundcard with Headset Amplifier such as:
for PCI Slot: Xonar DG
for PCI-Ex Slot: Xonar DgX
Both are Equal in Sound Quality, take the one who fits in your computer, and then:
Enjoy awesome Sound :)
pre purchased on amazon july 2012 and character creation was on launch day; I got the hard cover guide as "suggested by amazon" that I still have to this day. It had a neat map atlas bonus, a top spiral binding book that stayed up when you left it on your desk.
Great to get all of those hearts and vistas early.
edit: this thing.
I also had to quit GW2 due to it being too addicting. Personal two nickels: quitting video games cold turkey doesn't work, especially if you haven't changed your living environment, like the computer with all the potential games is right there in your house/apartment waiting to be played. It is an instant trigger reminding you to play again. My happy medium was strictly sticking to single-player games when I'm solo, and ONLY playing multiplayer/online games with people I have met and know in real life - as a way of socializing. Luckily the few friends that I have are busy and can only play on weekends so it's working out for now.
A few books that helped a TON in understanding why I had such a hard time quitting:
The Power of Habit
[Mini Habits] (https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Habits-Smaller-Bigger-Results-ebook/dp/B00HGKNBDK)
I hope it works out for you! IMO you are doing the correct thing getting back to old hobbies, but it definitely does take time.
There is very much a physical copy. Heroic Edition. I see it at Walmart every time I'm there, actually. It was a re-release with some added content.

It has some bonus goodies, so I would very much recommend grabbing that if you get the chance.
Well, I kinda liked it actually...it's pretty "tasty" :P
But I'm usually refraining from unhealthy food as well, haha...ate it a long long time ago...I remember it fondly though..
I think you can order it online in some places...found a bag on amazon for example :P

That's very interesting. Thanks for the link.
It looks like it's from the PCGamer guide published in 2007 rather than one of the Prima guides from 2005. I guess they decided to add these bits around the time the Eye of the North came out even if it didn't end up being mentioned in the game itself.
Not the most expensive rig in the world, but I love every part of it and recommend it all:
i7 2600k w/ Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
4x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 4GB 1600 RAM dual channel
2x GTX460 1GB DDR5 in SLI
Corsair HX 750W power supply
Asus Xonar DG (Dolby Headphone virtual surround) sound card [link]
Logitech G13 gamepad [link]
CM Storm Xornet mouse [link]
Logitech K120 keyboard
Superlux HD681 headphones [link]
Zalman ZM-MIC1 clip-on microphone [link]
It's the strategic guide that was published at release time back in 2012. It also exists in hardcover though I never saw this version in Europe.
Though most of the stuff is now outdated due to many change and game rework in term of maps change or additions (this predates the Southsun release), skills or class mechanics since release, it contains lots of nice artwork, and interesting side-development info like how Tengu could have been a playable race at release.
If you have USB3 connectors on your Air (ie. got it after mid 2012) you can get a regular SSD hard-drive and an USB3 enclosure. I use this SSD and this enclosure. Total cost for both should be under $50.
If not, then you will need to add a Thunderbolt to USB3 adapter (assuming you don't use the Thunderbolt connector for something already), which are quite expensive and please make sure you get it from a vendor with good return policy because there's no guarantee the adapter will work with a USB3 SSD enclosure.
Also, have you considered upgrading the hard-drive in your Air?
I'd recommend a reasonably fast SSD and an USB3 enclosure. I've been very pleased with this enclosure.
This was the Amazon #1 recommend for gaming pc back in July or August:
https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A5-Desktop-i5-8400-Processor/dp/B07B6H4GNY/ref=lp_8588811011_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1540912863&sr=1-3
It ended up being super loud and heats up in 5 minutes of GW2 running, plus the sucky graphic.
And I mentioned I like to stay under $1200 budget. :/
Did you know Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase if you shop by going to smile.amazon.com instead? Over $50,000,000 has been raised for charity - all you need to do is change the URL!

better ai confirmed?
I have carpal tunnel and tore my ACL and MCL in my knee (but that's different).
Did the doctors say it's RSI? Because it sounds like they aren't sure what it is...
I have ways of dealing with my carpal tunnel if that helps. I wear a wrist brace most of the time. I also use a vertical mouse like [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Evoluent-VM3R2-RSB-Vertical-Mouse-3/dp/B000O3OEGE).
Have also rearranged my entire work station to keep my posture proper.
I have a guildmate who plays with a trackball instead of a mouse and he can still play PvP and raid.
Changing the mouse might make it so that you use different parts of your body instead.
I don't know what to say about fingers and typing though. If it gets really bad you might want to ask for a recommendation for a good physical therapist. I had to see one for my knees, but never for hand related injuries.

Those are prebuilts. You might get more mileage for your money if you build your own.

Just figured I'd give you a heads up! I haven't gone and checked GW out since moving to GW2, but perhaps I should hop on for a bit!
Is it just me or was the wolf finisher a reference to this shirt?
Seems to be this one?

My life changed forever the day I started wearing my three wolf moon shirt. I instantly grew chest hair and full beard. Picking up chicks from Walmart is a thing of the past. I now get them wherever I go.
it is this (OP don't click the link if you don't want to know the price) http://www.amazon.com/GUILD-GIANT-POSTER-PRINT-G1352/dp/B00JGU9G14/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449676090&sr=8-1&keywords=Guild+wars+2+poster
The issue with this line of thought is the lack of statistical awareness and self-progression. People who claim to be in ELO hell (a fictional place of their deluded nightmares) are simply not good. If they were, and they played more games, they would climb to their rating. Statistically, you will get placed exactly where you belong.
People need to focus on their inner game; stay calm, don't tilt, examine why you lose. I would recommend a fantastic book called The Art of Learning by Josh Waitzkin.
Guild Wars 1 (platinum edition) is also on sale for $9.99
