I've been double sleeving mine since I started. I use a few different over-sleeves.

I use the fantasy flight black sleeves for the encounter deck, and fantasy white sleeve for set aside cards. Which ultimately I've decided I don't like because of the difficulty to acquire at times and they are very long compared to other sleeves. With that said they aren't bad sleeves just not the best.

I use Ultra-Pro Clear Deck Protector Sleeves for any double sided cards such as locations, acts, agendas, and special cards. These I really like, they are pretty spot on for sizing with the perfect fits. They have a great handling feel, though can be slick, and have a good thickness to them. I know some don't like the emblem on the but I've found it doesn't really matter to me. I do think there are a version of these with out the emblem.

I also color code my investigators with class color. I have used different sleeves to get the right colors as I could but if you can I can recommend the Ultra-Pro Eclipses followed by the Ultra-Pro Matte. The sizing, quality, and color are top rate. I absolutely love the black inside backing of the Eclipses.

Note: I've not been satisfied with the dragon shields as in my experience they are slightly too narrow for double sleeving with the KMC perfect fits.

Are you looking for something efficient or something pretty ?

I use those flip mat for d&d, like this https://www.amazon.com/Chessex-Role-Playing-Play-Mat/dp/B0015IQO2O (I also like this one because the hex side is easier on the eyes imo)

They're not especially good eye candy, but they're enough for the whole game area (without players, but it helps set up a visual delimitation imo), they're not too expensive, and we draw the connections between the various locations on them, which is actually fun to do.

I don't like the idea of a mat with dedicated player space anyway, because of all the ways you could gain or lose equipment space (bandolier, charisma, items that take 2 slots, like flamethrower or enchanted blade, ...)

Just thought, but my Mum love to do jigsaw puzzles. She uses a large jigsaw folder to hold the pieces in place to move it. Something like this:

They are super easy to make these as well if you have a 1 inch hole punch and these.

Only thing that might be harder is getting the actual images.

I used to make a ton of tokens just like this for Infinity.

Okay I bought everything needed except woodburner. Do you think this would get the job done? https://www.amazon.com/Walnut-Hollow-Introduction-Intermediate-Woodburners/dp/B000VRTG8Y/ref=lp_262717011_1_3?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1524884937&sr=1-3

Any chance you could show me what your printed out and how you stenciled? Yeah I am copying you completely.

The Thing on the Roof and Valley of the Lost by Robert E Howard. Both found in his Horror Stories collection, among many other great stories.

I found it literally cheaper to buy & do everything yourself then go through a copy shop. It will likely cost 40-60+ per packet. Useful for other games & what nots as well.

The 9 pocket binders are also worth considering if you aren't trying to fit it into a game box. Fits into a backpack well.

Sleeved. And these boxes are about the same size as a Return to box... Maybe a smidge shorter.

Buy a white long box at your FLGS for a couple bux, sleeve all the encounter cards and put them in there.

Buy Ultra pro Black pages (https://www.amazon.com/18-Pocket-Platinum-Side-Black-Background/dp/B009WU5EG4) and put your player cards in a binder with them.

My Scenario & Encounter cards are sleeved in a BCW Deckbox. I also have a Dual Deckbox that I can hold the 3 pre-built core decks in. Tokens are held in a Plano 3500

I use the Ultra pro penny sleeves. They are flappy and thin, but cheap.

Regarding the decal, the penny sleeves don't have one. I'm not sure about their higher end sleeves.

u/Geekken · 2 pointsr/arkhamhorrorlcg

I'd consider buying a few extra packs of sleeves as expansions roll out. You can get penny sleeves which can avoid typical wear and tear, shuffle decently, and won't break your bank.

I used this:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004ALJMSQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You just cut strips to the length you want. I glued mine in, but they could probably be screwed in with some short screws as well, but i could see the bands tearing one day.

I've never worked with foamcore myself. I've thought about it for some box inserts but never pulled the trigger. It looks handy though! This is the chipboard I got (Canada link, but US probably has the same stuff for cheaper).

For the art, I used Google images and found the highest res images I could grab. I got the core box image, and a transparent AHLCG logo. I asked FFG for the background pattern, but apparently they're not allowed to give that stuff out (understandably so). So I took a random high-res nebula image, made it black and white, then color shifted it until the blue was close enough to the core box. For the font at the bottom, I used Teutonic.

If you, or anyone else, wants to do the same thing, I can post dimensions for the box and the GIMP files for the wrap (though don't expect anything professional, there's some bad crops that left remnants behind).
