I will have a Sapphire HD 7970 OC soon, i got it used from a friend 6 months ago for 180 to run crossfired in my rig, just ordered a 390 though :) It run's a little warms but nothing too bad, good condition other wise has original box and i believe all accessories. (box is ripped and beat up a bit) wondering what a reasonable price for it might be?

Thanks, happy new year!!

So no speed posted on the ram. A really small power supply, Free Linux operating system with no Windows Key, case is on sale $64 with a $10 rebate and free shipping: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=n82e16811146189&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleKWLess&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleKWLess-_-DSAFeed-All-Products-_-cases(computercases-atxform)-_-NA&ignorebbr&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvJCGgLDz1QIVRDaBCh1IxQzuEAAYASAAEgKpjfD_BwE

A 750GB hard drive which you can pick up 1 TB for $50 new free shipping: https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Description=1tb%20hard%20drive&Submit=ENE

The Video card is at least one third the price you are requesting: around $300 Shipped: https://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Dual-fan-Gaming-Graphics-DUAL-GTX1060-O6G/dp/B01JHQT1SE

If you shipped the system free it would totally be very decent price, all in all for the 5 1600 which is about the best bang for the money out there. Good luck.

I don't know if I should cannibalize parts from this or sell off the entire thing.

Just saying, if your looking to sli your rig id recommend the 970's. They have better performance and they are often cheaper that the 780's. I have two 970's in my machine and I can play 4k games on great settings with high fps...

This is the best 970 out there now: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Gaming-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B00NH5T1MS/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1426037007&sr=1-2&keywords=gtx+970

FWIW its $130 new on Amazon in US.

I have this keyboard, it is really awesome. Pair it with this and it is even more amazing.

u/philoticstrand · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

Man, I wish you luck in finding this kind of board at a reasonable price. I looked pretty hard when I was in the market for one, and then I settled on one with a non-overclocking chipset because that's all I was willing to pay for. =/ This is what I got, btw: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00906G97I. Actually, if you give up on overclocking, I'm selling the board since I'm moving to laptop-only for the foreseeable future. :)

I have too many monitors, that I can't use/don't have space for anymore.

1x Used Acer G257HU (24 inch)

2x Barely Used Sceptre C278W-1920R curved monitors (27 inch)

1x Used Toshiba PA3885U-1LC2 (21.5 inch) - this I assume is barely worth anything

1x Used HP Omen 32 Freesync (32 inch)

Thanks for the help here in advance.

u/Aarenas52 · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

how cheap? if you say 250, i will say get this acer g257hu. its a 25 in monitor and its great. i am 100% sure its the one i have. the only thing i dislike about it is no vesa mount so if thats important to you, look else where!

if you want a smaller/cheaper one, they have a 23 inch version for 205 usd.

Pst, dont tell anyone, but 598s special edition are 65 used on amazon atm, they go out of stock fast. I just grabbed a pair

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0042A8CW2/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

u/iNvalidRequiem · 2 pointsr/hardwareswap

Is there something special about this specific 7970? After seeing all of the 7970 sales recently I'm convinced I can get one for closer to $300, and sure enough amazon has several used for $300 and brand new Sapphire cards for $329 before MIR. Basically I'm saying I'm interested, but I'm just wondering what justifies the price tag. I mean if that's what you got it for I don't blame you at all for selling it for that much but similar cards are going for much cheaper elsewhere :/
edit: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-DL-DVI-I-SL-DVI-D-PCI-Express-11197-03-40G/dp/B009B6Y01Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1372479104&sr=8-2&keywords=7970 The card on amazon that I saw.

u/ifelldownthestair · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

Depends on what computer he has. Is it a laptop? I put that card in my laptop to replace the older wifi card and it works perfectly. Is its a desktop you nay have to check the mobo or manual to see if it has a slot for a wifi card of that form factor

Here is another just for desktops. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0079XWMEI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_S8DHzbNKTEXV9

It is only single band though and if you spend an extra $20 you can get a dual band version.

Might want to wait it out or readjust price, Amazon has a sale for the BW Chroma right now (as of today), they're going for 140$. Or at least watch out for the lowballs since many might find the 20$ for a brand new BW Chroma over a year old one well worth it. http://www.amazon.com/Razer-BlackWidow-Chroma-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B00MTWV0II/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1457564100&sr=1-1&keywords=Razer+Blackwidow+chroma

u/dabsfordaze · 2 pointsr/hardwareswap

No offense taken. Matter of fact, long before I started utilizing these drives, I did a fair amount of research into them.

At the time of this writing, Amazon has a 4.5 out of 5 star rating, with well over 1k reviews.
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digital-2-5-Inch-SV300S37A-120G/dp/B00A1ZTZOG

Newegg has a 4 out of 5 star rating, with around 500 reviews.

I'm fairly confident, not only from a personal experience perspective, but also external sources, that my equipment is not affected by this issue. Thanks for the input.

The Deathadder Chroma sells for $70 new, its even discounted right now on amazon for $54, I was in a thread earlier and someone sold one for $35. Adjust your price if you really want to sell it.

u/jhurley2k15 · 0 pointsr/hardwareswap

Your comparing his more expensive 1060 with cheaper versions. If you look for links comparing the same exact card you'll see his card retails for 280 (265 with rebate on newegg) and is massive in size. The cheapest I found used was 250 (amazon) so his 240 price isn't that bad really.
