Well, I've used Asus before so I stand by their products. Also just bought a GL502 with 980m.

Gl702: Skylakex1060. Decently thin/light with just the right stuff. My previous Asus was the gtx 660m and these things are built damn good for the price.

$1348.

GT72VR: Skylake x 1060. I'm not too keen on MSI but people on Reddit love emm. Seems like it might actually be at a better price point.
CUK MSI GT72VR Dominator Virtual Reality Laptop (i7-6700HQ, 12GB RAM, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, 17.3" Full HD, Windows 10) - 2016 VR Ready Gaming Notebook Computer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JMDH7LU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cyJJybMNM02JY
$1300.

Predator 17x: Skylakex1060. Acer's super fkin sweet laptop. Don't know much about them but damn do I love their lineup. About the same price point as the MSI.
Acer Predator 17 Gaming Laptop, 17.3 Full HD, Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GTX1060, 16GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, G5-793-72AU https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZMFF0Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_lFJJybP0MJHRX
$1344

I didn't shop around for the best prices, you may get lucky on Craigslist or eBay for a second hand. Maybe you can find an openbox.

How are these?

Hi I wanted to know when with upgrading, with the 8 GB DDR4, 2666 MT/s (to make it 16GB), a usb portable hard drive (I kinda like this as I also use Xbox, it’s good for space on there too) or an 2.5 ssd 1TB?
Can I use any? Is there a limit? Is there any good but for a good price? Because I’ve seen a

For the 8GB DDR4;

And the 2.5 ssd;

Like and the hard drive is a hard drive really 😂

I just need a 2ed idea of it these won’t work or this there one I need? Because it’s a pretty good price and I don’t mind spending £80 for an upgrade 😂

If you want the best game performance for the price, these are slightly over but probably the best value, with the 6GB GTX 1060 and also IPS / 72% NTSC displays.

Dell inspiron 7567 user here. I5, GTX 1050, 8Gb ram, 1920x1080 TN panel. $800 at best buy, great laptop in my opinion. To prevent it from getting hot while gaming though, i just purchased a laptop cooler on amazon and it works great. the only thing about this laptop is I noticed almost all games get capped at 30FPS when on battery right off the bat even when switching to performance mode in power settings.

If I observed correctly; you are trying to connect a vga monitor to a laptop with only hdmi. If that’s the case then you’ll need an adaptor “VGA female / HDMI male” and they are usually cheap.
I have one myself, which I bought on Amazon for 8 USdlls a year ago and still works pretty good. It’s easy to use and small enough to let me connect stuff on the sides (USB and Ethernet)

This is the adaptor I bought

(Sry if the link doesn’t works, that’s the one Amazon gave me for sharing, here’s the name of the adapter: “VicTsing HDMI to VGA Adapter Converter Gold-Plated for PC, Laptop, DVD, Desktop and Other HDMI Input Devices - Black”)

Sorry for taco English, not my main language and also I’m on mobile, sry sry

The Acer Nitro 5 is probably your best bet. You can get one with a 1060 and the i7 but it will cost significantly more. Even the 1050ti will run CS:GO at decent settings. I think this is the best you can get without paying $1500+ dollars. :D

I just received this one and to be honest with you it helped with my temps about 2-3 C. I have a dell g5 15 and the heating is so bad I get 94 C when I play anything and with the cooling bad I get about 91 C. So don’t expect a miracle unless your laptop has better intakes than mine.

I'm just not a huge fan of Sager laptops or any other rebranded Clevo laptops. They are too generic and plasticky. The ASUS will have better build quality and materials, longevity, warranty, parts, etc., which easily warrants the extra dough. Actually, with twice the RAM and an SSD compared to your config, the ASUS is a better value just for the performance.

With a budget of $2000 you arent going to have the slightest problem finding an i7 with a 960m at least.

Heres the lowest model id recommend you with your budget. This is gonna play thing on medium-high 30-50's FPS ASUS K501UW-AB78 15.6-inch Full-HD Gaming Laptop (Intel Core i7, GTX 960M, 8GB DDR4, 512GB SSD) Glacier Grey

And heres mid range for your price
This is personally the one id buy if i had $2000. This will handle everything perfectly well on high-ultra, and leave you some money for software, etc
MSI VR Ready GS43VR Phantom Pro-006 14" Ultra Portable Gaming Laptop GTX 1060 i7-6700HQ 16GB 128GB M.2 SATA + 1TB Windows 10

My man, you should check this ASUS ROG GL552VW out ...

Great specs for a great price plus it's just got released a few weeks ago, annnnd it's an ASUS, you don't even need to check about cons with them

Listed in alot of websites but I got you an Amazon link

I know its been a while, but I eventually decided on this, not sure about DS3 but it runs BO3 just fine. I recommend it for $800 range

OP, Dragon's Dogma is an incredibly well-optimized port whereas BnS is not. You could run all of Dark Arisen on a 960M, but don't expect to max out BnS on anything that's short of a 970M.

Can't speak for Acer's quality, but in your price range something like this will work: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-VN7-591G-792U-Generation-GeForce-Windows/dp/B01CL4X6KS/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1464394125&sr=1-1&keywords=gaming+laptop+960&refinements=p_36%3A-80000

^ heads up that the screen and hard drive speed suck. Your focus is that GPU anyway so you should be able to find better.

This is the one I have except I have 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB. I believe you are allowed to upgrade the RAM as well as the SSD. HP OMEN 15: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I4H0KSM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TqcAyb7EZQY09
Runs CS:GO and Rocket League above 60fps.
