You can get the Super Engineer Type II from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/20mm-Engineer-Stainless-Straight-Band-Push/dp/B00CSE7JQ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422474156&sr=8-1&keywords=super+engineer+ii+20mm

It looks and feels amazing and I've had no cracks since I got it 6 weeks ago.

If you want a perfect fit and don't mind paying quite a bit extra for the privilege, I recommend this version of the Super Engineer Type II with the adjustable Wetsuit clasp that can slide in and out until it fits perfectly:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/20mm-Engineer-Stainless-Bracelet-Brushed/dp/B00NV4PE7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422474268&sr=8-1&keywords=super+engineer+ii+20mm+wetsuit

Here's a video showing how to install the Super Engineer Type II, but remember you need the Wetsuit Clasp (not the clasp in the video) if you want a perfect fit.

I was having to take off and put on the watch over 3 times a day (quick charge before bed, quick charge when I wake up, and I can't wear it at the office) and I figured there had to be a slightly faster way. I didn't want the change the band because of the cracking issues and that's when I found that these replacement clasps exist. It looks really nice and works great with the stock leather band.

Here is the link to it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EYV93I/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_hZZlub0F27352 I recommend buying the ~$5 springbar tool if you plan to do this yourself... I'm sure it can be done without it but I'm it made it a ton easier. There are also many other cheaper deployant clasps on Amazon but it seemed like they all had long shipping times.

If you sweat a lot with your watch on, something like Obenauf's LP will help condition and protect.

I used it on my Moto Cognac band, and it is much more supple now.

  • Before
  • After

    From the Obenauf's product description:

  • Repels acids, petroleum, salt, and chemicals
  • Restores dried leather to a soft and supple condition and protects it from further damage
  • Contains no harmful silicones, petroleums, solvents, or neatsfoot

I almost bought that one, but was split between that one and this one. Still in the mail though. That one looks much better than in the Amazon listing.

I had that watch and same thing happened to me. I used this to repair. This stuff is like magic. Although, looks like it might be out of stock.

Yikes! Good to know that it can be "over" heated ... Sorry about your troubles... :(

FYI - I found this replacement back cover on Amazon for $14.95 : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FDZ3V4/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1Q9Q1EHB0XK1A

My bad on the links, here you go. The first i where I got this one, the second is an unbranded version from amazon that I am pretty sure they also make.

Authentic OR
Amazon Unbranded

The Motorola design team probably referenced a few watches like these. Also check out the Braun BN0021. http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Analog-Watch-Black-Leather/dp/B004XWE9EO

Perhaps this? Closest I could find whilst perusing Amazon.

Here it is!

Looks like it's currently unavailable, but if you search for a Panerai style band you should get some similar results

Haha, sorry. I'm lazy too. Here are the Amazon links, though...

This is the tool I used to take the straps off

This is the strap I used

I actually had to cut the clasp side of the strap a little bit. The official ones have a small notch cut out of the end. The hole side fit in just fine without having a notch cut, but the clasp end wouldn't go in until I duplicated the notch on the new strap.

I got her a fancy automatic hair curler, a fitbit, and some Victoria's Secret pajamas.

I haven't gotten one yet, but I was thinking about this one or this one

u/quietglow · -5 pointsr/moto360

It is, basically. I think my position all along was "okay we have notifications at least, but eventually we'll get some other goodies," so perhaps I was set up for disappointment.

"Nice" is relative, of course, but the Orange Monster is pretty highly regarded by watch geeks and runs $250.

u/Abeilard14 · 1 pointr/moto360

I have this one. Same price, but NFC included and no proprietary charger. Works well with Moto 360
