this sounds weird but I knew someone who used a wireless doorbell that was rigged to the power switch so he had a wireless button. though this thing the guy linked below would likely be easier. USA site - https://www.amazon.com/Desktop-Computer-Supply-Supplies-Button/dp/B01CJ44XZM

This is the last Rig I built. As others have stated, if you are going to build a rig to learn how to mine totally worth the experience, if you are totally purely speculative, better to use the $$$ to buy the coins. I personally do both. The Base Rig will set you back about $800 (No Cards) expandable to 8 cards. Million different configs but I personally would start with a single 1080. Good luck and happy mining. :-)

These work great for me with 2 sticks and crosswinds . 2nt for cons. are 5V, 3.6-amp/port output .
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-4-port-usb-3-0-hub-black/5631038.p?skuId=5631038
works good with USB-A to micro USB-B 1.6m extension cord too.
" I think is has to do with not just being a charging HUB but data transfer also ? " anyone should correct me if wrong !
And a little 3M Velcro under desk and label 1,2,3,4 to help windows remember what is plunged in where should be all set .

I just noticed that you won't even need to solder anything! You can just open the bottom of your NUC and buy something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Desktop-Computer-Supply-Supplies-Button/dp/B01CJ44XZM/

or

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Push-Button-Power-Switch-for-PC-ATX-Desktop-Open-Air-mining-rig-case-Motherboard/192568759511

I didn't know you had protruding pins, my NUC doesn't.
