Yes. You can open up the ONT and look at the connections, if Ethernet is connected you just need to trace the cable to see where it goes, if it's not you'll have to run it yourself.

That router is quite old, it doesn't even have 802.11ac or 5 GHz. You should replace it with this one if possible, it has the absolute best bang for the buck of any wireless router. The first MoCA adapter you linked is the recommended choice as it can push a full gigabit over Coax, but if it's too expensive you could go with this one. The second one you linked also looks to be quite old.

Alternatively, you could go ahead and get the Quantum Gateway router if you can find it used for less than about $160-170... as long as it's less than the Archer C7 plus a MoCA adapter.

Short answer, everything will work except for remote access to DVR and on-screen caller ID. You can also completely eliminate the Actiontec router by replacing it with a MoCa bridge, which requires zero additional configuration (STBs get DHCP straight from your router).

Couple things to keep in mind. You'll need to call Verizon to release the DHCP bindings, so your router can register it's MAC address, in place of the Actiontec's. You may also have issues when Verizon needs to push firmware updates to the STBs (every 2-3 years in my experience), for reasons similar to why the remote DVR access doesn't work without the Actiontec being up front (the Actiontec router having a direct connection allows unsolicited remote access to the STBs from the Verizon side ...and we're breaking that).

Keeping that in mind, if your channel guide and DVR stops working all of a sudden, you probably have old firmware. If reboots don't fix the issue, you'll need to put the ActionTec router up front again and start rebooting things till firmware downloads and everything starts working again. As before, you'll likely need to call Verizon to release DHCP. Have them force updates to the STBs while you've got them on the line. Don't forget to have them release DHCP again after everything is working so you can put your router back. FYI: Verizon will not troubleshoot or help you fix anything without the ActionTec router being up front. It's their only supported configuration. So put things back to the way they want it before you call them.

You can give internet the set top boxes internet via a MoCA adapter. I bought one from amazon for like 60 bucks and completely removed the quantum gateway from the equation. Eventually i just got rid of the set top boxes with an hd home run + cablecard.

What kind of internet do you have to your home? If you have FIOS you can get something like this which runs off coax, and I find is both faster and more reliable.

You could get a coax bridge.

I have done this with the meraki setup at my parents house using the same moca adapter. It reduces complexity and gives you full control. I put the STB on their own vlan but that may be overkill

quick edit: sorry I did not do exactly this. I ran an ethernet from the ONT to the router. then used an ecb6000 for the stb. I then called verizon and had them move the data connection from the coax to the ethernet. IT only took about 10 minutes from dialing to completion. however if running ethernet to the ONT is not possible the 6200 will work.

do you have the g1100 router that verizon offers for fios and did you buy it or rent it

If you brought it up front,then you can disable the routing features of the g1100 and use it as a moca adapter.

the motorola moca 2.0 bonded adapter might also be a good choice

but since your using this just for your tv network,id say get whats cheapest

if you haven't already call fios tell them to switch your ONT from COAX internet to Ethernet if they dont understand get a superior on but be nice these people get yelled at all day so if your the sunshine in their life they are way more likely to make it easy on you. So at this point you have your Ethernet coming in from your ONT into your WAN on the router but if you wanna keep TV you have to still have a coax run from your ONT into your STB. somewhere along the coax run from the ONT to your STB is probably a coax splitter have a coax cable run from the coax to Ethernet adapter into the splitter and a Ethernet cable from the switch into the coax to Ethernet adapter I have it set up this way and it works fine

this was mentioned in other comments but make sure you copy your FIOS routers mac onto your WAN port on your pfsense router.

Basically, Verizon Fios uses MOCA 2.0 on their in home network. Its what gives you the on screen OSD in the set-top-boxes. After an hour or so of research, I decided to buy it. Basically, the FIOS router we have already has moca 2.0 as per the set-top-box as I've said. So literally plugging this bad bitch in, instant internet connection with zero loss and full speed just like wired.

Basically, you plug a coax cable into the wall, into the box, and then Ethernet from the box to your pc. That's it, no software, no installation of anything else, just plug n play. I am in my living room because of a recent accident that left me crippled and unable to go upstairs to my room where my pc used to be. Being downstairs, no matter which wifi I used I always got drops (my dad happens to be a ham radio user which causes a LOT of issues). I would never use d-lan like yourself because I know from experience its garbage.exe (lol)

Now, if you DON'T have MOCA 2.0 in your house, you aren't left out in the cold, you just need a secondary box (there is a "pair version" on amazon as well) Then you plug one in before your router (I'm not 100% but there are directions, I think you plug it into the wall before your router, and then use the ethernet to the router for WAN, and then like normal those close to the router run normal wired, and you use the other MOCA 2.0 adapter anywhere in the house for extra connections). Instant full 1000mbps connection with zero lag. Its seriously the best thing I have ever purchased in the realm of moving a signal to another living space.

EDIT: and because its wired, it will always be faster and more stable than any wireless you could ever buy. EVEN AC is garbage in my opinion.
