Try out this Bluetooth Adapter. I use it for an old pair of Bose Soundlink Headphones and it works great to control them. It allows you to pair to multiple devices also.

If you don't want to commit to dedicated Bluetooth earbuds, you can get something like this and use any earbuds with Bluetooth. Clip it to your shirt collar and the cord stays out of the way.

It's an overpriced reboxing on a piece of tech you can pick up for a few quid that has been around for years.

In ear earbuds hurt my ears and I spend about 10 hours a day with headphones on in the office. I wasn't able to find bluetooth headsets with the flat ear buds. So my solution was to plug my existing flat ear buds into one of these things. Then, I could keep this dongle plugged in (I run out of power by lunch time) and listen to music all day at my desk.

I actually have both of these, and they work quite well. The second one has the quirky feature of actually working as a handset when headphones aren't plugged into it.
If you're talking about playing on the TV, you could get something like this. I've never tested it, but reviews look good.
